"Great job everyone!" Gabi called at the employees who were working diligently and getting into the spirit of the outing. "I'll give you guys about...10 more minutes. Deciding to lead by example once more, Gabi got onto the Nimbus she was testing and starting to test the acceleration and decelleration. Everything was normal there...now to try rising and falling! She moved the broom up into the air, smiling when she saw that that feature was in good working order as well. Now to go down...
But...
She couldn't go down. She was still going up.
And up and up and up...almost 50 feet off the ground now!
"Help! It won't stop rising!" she called to the employees below. Her manicured hands grabbed the broom handle tighter and she tried to keep her composure, but heights had been one of the reasons she never played Quidditch as a girl!
| Stephen had come to liking this whole testing the brooms activity. It was different from their usual paperwork and Stephen hated tons of paperwork. Why write on paper when you can do this? This was more fun, more cool and it makes work 10 times more interesting than it already is.
However, fun was not a description to what is happening next, Stephen was still flying when she saw their department head try one of the nimbus brooms. Nimbus brooms are usually fast and has a sleek design which is definitely good for quidditch games. Stephen almost turned his broom towards the broom when he made a quick halt at the sound of Miss Schultz screaming in the air. She was not far from where Stephen had been flying, the problem is she's flying at a higher destination........ and screaming.
Stephen averted his broom and went towards their department head in the same pace as hers. Well, he is trying to keep up with her. "Miss Schultz...." he said looking at her and at the same time cautious at the directions. He offered his hand towards her "grab..... my hands" he told her. The broom kept ascending and so did Stephen trying to keep up with her speed. "NOW!" he was near her so she can definitely trust him with this. |

She reached out and felt a hand, and grabbed onto it before toppling off her broom and onto the back of her savior's. A quick glance helped her realize she was clinging to Stephen's broom, and now that she was safe, and the broom was continuing to fly up and up into the air, she wanted down. NOW.

| It's a good thing that their department head was quick thinking. As soon as Stephen ordered her to grab his hand, she immediately did. Who knows what could have happened if she didn't? Stephen could have choose a plan B too but it's mad... it was either that or use a spell to destroy the broom-- which won't be such a good idea considering the one on the broom is their own department head. Stephen doesn't want to get fired now. The broom halted when Miss Schultz was now safe with him.
Phew.
For a moment that Gabriela was sitting behind him, Stephen froze a bit. It's not that he was shy around the department head, it's just that-- well, he doesn't really know how to put it, but it did feel awkward.
Get me to the ground!
Stephen could feel his ear vibrating. Okay, now she's mad. For a really pretty lady, she can be really, uhm, demanding. Guess that's why she's the boss. "Yes, Miss Schultz. Right away." Stephen then glided downwards until he made a full halt a few inches on the ground for her to go down. |
