Her hazel eyes widened, and she looked over at Ella fanning herself. She swallowed the bite before saying excitedly,"Oh wow, they are amazing!" She then collected herself laughing a little nervously,"Sorry.."
Ella nodded towards the brownies and Laurel. "They do look delicious. Maybe I'll have one for dessert." If she wasn't too full, that is. She had already eaten quite a bit of fettuccine alfredo, though, so maybe it would have to wait. Ella grinned at Laurel, as it was quite obvious that the brownie was good.
"So, Laurel. Have you worked in the Ministry long?" Just out of curiosity and wanting to get to know her employees better.

Ha, this lady was so NICE. Kensi could appreciate nice people. And not like, I'm so naive...and so innocent and nice blahblahblah but like just a nice person. Because that other type of nice...well, Kensi could get annoyed with that.

And brownies? Sure..Kensi made a grab for one immediately...stopped, but then continued..ah, well, she DID say she could have one..right? She took a bite and smiled. "This is good. I like my sweets..." and chocolate. And maybe Kensi would even grab a coffee...she was going to need some for dealing with Dacs after her break...
She glanced at who Ella was talking to...Sky! Her partner for the most recent case...! She almost spit out her brownies when she asked if they were related...but she merely chuckled and swallowed before talking. "Oh. no...I'm American..."she couldn't tell by my awesome accent? she wondered, but then again...Kensi didn't really notice accents..."And my whole family's ginger..." she pointed her hair. Pretty much all of them were redheaded awesomeness. Yep.
Glorious? Ella gave Kensi an amused smile. "I suppose you could call it that. But you can't have glory without responsibility. Which is mostly what I have as a department head." Just saying. And that was the responsibility to keep everything in the department and the magical creatures running smoothly. It wasn't a simple task, and she was learning that quickly.

Turning her attention to Sky again, Ella returned the smile. "Thanks for coming! I just wanted to meet as many people as possible so I don't feel as lost." She let out a small laugh. It was a smart idea to throw a party. A smart idea that Ella was proud of.
Okay, she sooooo got confused there. Ella blinked a few times and looked back and forth between Kensi and Sky and then Caroline, who Sky was actually related to. Ella shook her head and waved her hands. "I have met so many people today, I think my brain is going to fry." Whoops. How embarrassing. Obviously, Sky and Caroline were twins. Duh.

She had read her file, but she had also read everyone else's, so it was hard to put history facts to faces and names. It sounded familiar, though. "St. Mungo's, I see. That's quite the esteemed hospital." With all her injuries throughout the years, Ella had never been to St. Mungo's. Several other magical hospitals, but never Mungo's.
"We have that in common, then." Ella smiled. Although, she was willing to bet Serafina might have known what she was doing more than Ella had, since she was new to this Department Head stuff. Ella smiled again. "I've always had a passion for animals of all kinds. After I left Hogwarts, I attended Florence’s Academy of Magical Creatures over there in Italy. My main focus was learning how to control and tame wild animals. A few years after that, I lived in Romania and worked in the Dragon Sanctuary. And then after a couple years after that, I returned to Florence's Academy to teach." She nodded with a smile. She was rather proud of her history.
Katrina walked into the food court and and quickly found a seat. She told Gavin to meet her down here for lunch. She wanted to wait for him before getting anything. Now what was she gonna get?
Heading down to the food court after meeting with the level 4 department head Gavin was definitely feeling hungry after two cups of tea. Spotting Kat at one of the tables, he headed for her right away. He'd find out what she wanted for lunch then go and order for the two of them. "Hey love" he said leaning down and kissing her cheek. "How's the day gone so far?" he asked as he took the seat beside her.
He could not believe at all that they had already been married a few weeks! He just wished they'd had time to take the honeymoon already...with the job change and everything they had had to put it all on hold. Well...he was determined to change that soon.

Kensi...was confused as well. "You have a twin, Sky?!" she cried, glancing from one to the other...WOW. "Thats so cool!" she said with a chuckle.
And her mother was a redhead! "Gingers unite, eh?" she joked a bit..she grabbed a drink from a table and took a sip...she supposed that she would be able to do that, right?

She laughed a little..."It's okay, really. You're doing better than I would have..." which was too true, yes. Kensi was lousy at being friendly...first. She could BE flirty...but that was NOT the same thing as friendly at all...

Sky smiled. "I am glad I came I got to meet a person outside of the MLE." Sky understood how Ella could have gotten confused, it was hard meeting tons of people at one time. "Its okay, its hard trying to remember names!" She glanced over at her sister who was notably quite at the moment. She nodded towards Kensi, "Yes I would do terrible as well!"

Grinning at her, he stretched his arms out infront of him on the table with a yawn. "Yeah, that's one thing I don't like so much, is a lot of my work keeps me busy in the office, and I don't get to come visit you all that much nor any of the other employees!" Making a face he shrugged "Not too bad, been going and meeting the other department heads this morning. Laughing softly "I feel lucky, especially with the fact that you married me." He pulled his hand back off the table and found hers squeezing it gently.
"So what are you hungry for? I'll go grab our lunch." he asked gazing at her lovingly.

Nodding he made a face "Trying to meet them all in one morning isn't working." he replied laughing, "Though it's been a lot of fun, meeting them." Glancing back her way as he watched the line toward the main bar go down a bit "Maybe we should change that a little." he teased, "You should meet some people, most of them appear quite nice."
"Hmm I was thinking on Dragon's Breath stew and a turkey wrap." Yep just about right, "and I think an vanilla Dragon milkshake to drink." Hmmm lots of dragon food...

"It makes everything easier, though, when you know where everything is." Yep. Anyway. "So, you said you were in Law Enforcement? What's that like?" It sounded... dangerous.

Walking with almost half of the department his fellow MLES and Auror divisions through the Ministry towards the Food Court, Jax smiled at a few of the other workers he recognised.
There was a brief moment where Jaxton had to decide where to sit - but based on the number of employee's that had come with Dacs and himself, it was obvious that the softer seats wouldn't have anywhere near enough chairs around the tables. So he moved to one of the larger tables and pulled out a chair for Emily and Dacs, before taking a seat directly to Dac's other side.
"Hmm. Does anyone want another drink - or are you all okay to simply start planning?"He said, pulling out a muggle notebook and quill for teams. He looked around the table as the employee's took up chairs and then he looked at the list of suspects.
"Who doesn't know anyone on this list?" He said, holding it up. He didn't - so he made one... Now he just needed a few others that could accompany him to the school - and a few to go and collect the adults who were no longer present at Hogwarts.

Rafael had heard that the new Creatures Head was having a little gathering in the food court and decided to head over and meet the new woman he'd be working closely with for... well he'd see how she'd fair the first couple months and go based off of that.
His eyes went to the plants in the cafe first, as they naturally do since they're his only reason for visiting, before settling on the woman the creatures staff were seemingly focused on. "Constance Wellington?" He offered her a hand. "I'm Rafael Belmonte. Environment."

Simon followed the rest of the group into the food court, a part of him wondering if anyone wondered why a good portion of the largest department in the ministry was making a jaunt into the area at once. Mass meal break? Impromptu meeting outside the walls of the office. Whatever their thoughts it took a few moments to find a spot for the group amongst the crowded cafeteria.
He shook his head at the mention of drinks, fine with not having anything at the moment and simply taking a seat at the table. Seeing as he was one of those in the group that did know someone or multiple someones on the list it was his place to be quiet though his eyes scanned the gathering for those who would answer Jax's question. There was bound to be a few as they couldn't all know someone from the list...right?

Sky followed the rest of the group to the table that Jax had chosen. She smirked as she thought of how the group might look to the outsiders of the MLE or anyone outside of the group in particular. She shook her head no when drinks were offered, she was good for now. She simply took her seat at the table. When the question was asked, Sky kept quiet.
She knew one person on the list, so it wouldn't help anyone by saying she knew someone on the list, plus Dacs had already written her down on a piece of parchment right? Seeing Simon also kept quiet she concluded he also knew some people on this list that Jax held in the air.

Sky picked up a glass of water and took a sip. "Well I wish you good luck, I know I would call everyone by the wrong name unless I knew them quite well!" She nodded. "Yes I am in MLE." She couldn't blame Ella for needing to double check, it had probably been a long day for her and she had probably met hundreds of people from her department and others.

After the events in the office, Roxanne decided that she needed a break. So, she naturally headed down to the food court to get, at the very least, a cup of coffee. Maybe a slice of that to-die-for chocolate cake. Maybe ease the frustration of not seeming to get anywhere on getting any useful answers to her questions. Well, to be fair, Millie had offered her help if they could ever get that Hogwarts issue solved. So, one useful answer down, still way too many to go.
Anyway, on her way in, she spotted a large chunk of the other side of the office sitting in the seating area, seemingly having some kind of meeting. Well, maybe it wouldn't take someone who was friendly with them to figure out how far long they were with the 'Time Thief' case after all. Just someone with some good social skills. Hmm.... now how to approach the subject. That she figured out on her way over to their table.
As she was heading over, she thought she caught sight of a very familiar sheet of parchment. The same one she had been pouring over all morning. And Jaxton's wording. Interesting. Were they really that much farther along on this case then her own side of the department?
"So, what's going on over here?" she asked casually, trying to cover up the fact that she was fishing for information. And how crazy was that, that she would have to fish for information that should be readily available to the whole department again. Really, reminded her of her first year in the British Ministry, towards the end of the Cult's rein of terror.

Emily stared, eyebrows raised in curiosity. When was the last time anybody pulled out her chair for her? This was... strange. "Thanks... how... chivalrous of you," she said to her boss. Double weird. perhaps she could get used to this?... or perhaps she ought to train the YATI kids to do so.
With a smile and a nod to her colleagues, Emily sipped on the coffee Jax had handed her moments before. Another beverage was not necessary, and it would surely be disruptive in half an hours time.
So... 'doesn't know' anyone on the list... was not her. She was rather familiar with a certain someone and the bread roll from his mouth. She gave her head a little shake, she WAS familiar with SOMEONE from the list. And that Hollingberry girl sounded familiar too. The Gryffindor. With the cookies. "I'm only familiar with Vindictus... but the cookie girl Hollingberry rings a bell."

Was this like...safe? Discussing MLE matters outside the Auror office? Hm. Legend stared at Jax, have wondering if he should ask him a question only the REAL Jax would know but decided against it.
For now.
Taking a seat, right beside Emily (since she obviously loved him and wanted him to be right beside her) Legend got comfortable before looking at the list once more. "Vindictus obviously. That man has been in Hogwarts since the days of its Founders." Hm...actually... "I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually Rowena Ravenclaw's father." Or something like that. Just changed his name, and viola! Alive forever. Or something like that. "And Kurumi Hollingberry was in my house." Hadn't she been one of the Gryffindors who literally attacked him for losing the first points of the year? Eh. "And I believe I met Sierra Greingoth once or twice." Right? No one else really rang a bell, except for maybe....that Selina girl...but she wasn't a victim. Walking with almost half of the department his fellow MLES and Auror divisions through the Ministry towards the Food Court, Jax smiled at a few of the other workers he recognised.
There was a brief moment where Jaxton had to decide where to sit - but based on the number of employee's that had come with Dacs and himself, it was obvious that the softer seats wouldn't have anywhere near enough chairs around the tables. So he moved to one of the larger tables and pulled out a chair for Emily and Dacs, before taking a seat directly to Dac's other side.
"Hmm. Does anyone want another drink - or are you all okay to simply start planning?"He said, pulling out a muggle notebook and quill for teams. He looked around the table as the employee's took up chairs and then he looked at the list of suspects.
"Who doesn't know anyone on this list?" He said, holding it up. He didn't - so he made one... Now he just needed a few others that could accompany him to the school - and a few to go and collect the adults who were no longer present at Hogwarts.
Kensi followed the whole little group into the food court, and didn't take a seat. More important deserved the seating, riiight? And Kensi was just a patrol officer, wasnt she?
Her ears perked when the head auror(that's who that was, right? Hmph) asked if any of the others didnt know anyone. She raised her hand, her eyes flickering to Dacs before answer, clearing her throat. "I don't. I...didn't even go there..." she said, hoping her raspy American voice would explain it all.
Did that mean she was going to get some...ACTION?!!?

Kensi smirked widely, but she...wiped it from her face so as to not TOTALLY TICK DACZILLA off. Because yep, Kensi was SO READY FOR SOME ACTION!

Motioned to the nearby seats, took up one himself. "How has your transition been so far from...?" Where exactly? He didn't know her whole work history after all.

Dartanian looked down to see what the time was on he's watch for just a moment and then looking up he almost got the fright of he's life. The woman from the staircase had somehow magically appeared. Pitty he hadn't gotten some, but then it clicked to Dart, as to why thjis lady hadcome to sit by him afterall. She was coming to give him beef stew! of course that was only what he thought.
Smirking now as he looked at the stew, Dart dropped he's chicken wrap on he's plate and then picked up the spoon beside it. He leaned a little forward, scooped himself some of Alex's beef stew and then began eating away.
It was really good, muuuch better than the wrap he had been eating before.
Chewing on her beef stew, she swallowed, just in time to hear him mutter something about this seat being taken. Alex, being Alex, simply smiled and looked around and then at her own lap before glancing up to meet his eyes. "Yes, yes, it is taken. By myself, last time I checked."
But then, no, what did he do next?! He did the UNTHINKABLE. This RUDE man just took her spoon that she totally used ONCE and began eating HER stew. TOTALLY not cool.
"I see you've quite enjoyed my stew." She said, crossing her arms, glaring at her now-almost empty bowl. "So much for lunch." Yes, that was intended sarcasm; she could do that too.

Wow. This stew was unbelievable, and it was very hard for Dartanian to stop eating it. He continued to take more and more from her untill the bowl was completely empty. He smirked at her and then put the spoon down where it was before.
"Yez, eet woz lovely" He smirked. Because that was why she was here right? She was serving him...and he loved it. He eyed her when she commented about the lunch in an odd sort of way. Hmmm...Mehh..did he care? Nope...all he cared about was food. Yes and he did want more. "Weel you pleeze get me--" he paused midway and lost all focus.

Out of nowhere Dart began staring blankly at Alex's face. He wasn't sure what he was doing, but he continued. Alex's face wasn't too bad for her age, you know, but still Dart would refuse to ever respect such a woman like her. One of those reasons being she wasn't french and not good enough for 'ze Le King'.
She was not feeling all too well as of now and Kyleigh had completely abandoned her work station for a nice bit of food. Her drink ran cold in her cup as it wasn't exactly looking all that appetizing at the moment.
Instead she bought a second drink a nice cup of water. But for some reason the girl could hardly stomach looking at her food let alone eating it. She grimaced as she glanced down at her ham and cheese sandwich and managed to take a bite. It was dry. For now.
Taking a sip of her water - and swallowing she couldn't help but fight the urge to swallow again, and again, and again. She was salivating like no buddies business. Her lip felt wet as she put down her cup of water.
What was going on? She wondered as she picked up her napkin and daintily dabbed at the edge of her lip. Pulling back her napkin it was drenched DRENCHED in what could only be described as drool.
Heck it looked like she was related to a flobberworm with the amount of drool she had secreted. What was wrong with her.
"Meh-winsh beeod" yeah like that made any sense at all. The drool now seemed to be pouring from her mouth and no matter how hard she tried to stop. She couldn't. It was like she had shoved a hose in her mouth and forgot how to turn it off.

Simon listened as some answered and some didn't. One of the members of the department from the other office walked up and asked whats was going on and he stayed quiet once more, figuring Jax or Dacs was better suited for giving a clear clue as to what was happening with them.
Back to listening.
He was surprised at first when Legend spoke up but realizing his fellow YATI hadn't heard the question right. He was listing the people he DID know instead of responding that he didn't know anyone. Come to think of it, Emily had before that. Geez people....pay attention to whats being asked. He inwardly sighed, thinking of it only confusing the situation.

The former Gryffindor hadn't noticed his friend's arrival into the area at first, the food garnering attention from many of the employees. Not to mention Simon was doing his best to do his job, even though what was currently being discussed didn't pertain to him at the moment. However eventually his gaze started to wander off around them, paying more attention to their surroundings. It was then he noticed the familiar face off a short distance.
Right...attention to work...they are still at work or well he and his fellow workers were. Even when most of those around them werent.
Simon was about to turn fully back to Jax when something about Kyle's behavior seemed off. Sure he didn't know EVERY thing about her but he'd spent enough time around the clutzy former Ravenclaw to know a thing or two. And Kyle being off sent up red flags. Without even thinking much on it ...he got up from his seat and trying to not disturb his coworkers, slowly crossed towards her. "Kyle?"
Eww...what was that? Was she sick?
Simon crossed the last few steps and come up beside her now fully concerned. "Kyle...what's wrong?"
