| The Door Chamber C.R.E.A.M | Haitian Sensation | Shark Patronus | Your Huckleberry | T's ClayBaby The large circular room on the other side of the corridor is the first room encountered when entering the Department of Mysteries. It's shinning and pitchy black floors give it the appearance of a still lake, as if the wall and doors were placed a top water. Enhancing this effect are the blue flamed wall sconces perched on the walls inbetween doors whose reflection is so clear that it also seems to almost double the amount of blue light available.
The doors here respond to incantation. Not knowing what is behind each of the doors will make it quite challenging to gain access to them, which helps protect the secrets held in the departments. Also working to achieve this is the fact that the doors are identical to one another and revolve once one of them has been entered, leaving one unsure of which door one last used.
If it is your first time here and you aren't sure where to go, simply say, "Mr. Mitterbill's Office" and the door which leads to the Department Head's office will appear before you after a revolution of blurry blue light has passed. The Department official would be happy to help you find your way.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Felix Lupin First Year | Nate was interested to learn everything he could. Knowledge was the most valuable thing in the world and this department proved it. He looked at all the doors, so many. Where was what? Where was the area he worked? Hmmm
Which door led where? How did these doors work? He wanted to know all the things.
But right, he needed to talk to his boss. Right? That should be his first step on his first official day of his first legit job.
"Mr. Mitterbill's Office?" Now he waited.. Those were the instructions, yes?

"Mr. Mitterbill's Office?" Now he waited.. Those were the instructions, yes? The spin-cycle of the room had done its revolutions and when it stopped the door to the Department Head's office had swung open and the somewhat frail looking Mitterbill stepped out. His arms carried a sheathed object about the size of a larger end Muggle laptop. Seeing the younger wizard in the rotunda, he offered the new Unspeakable a smile and greeted him.
"Mr. Prince." His voice had a strong deep timber and somewhat nasal quality. As if he'd spent his whole life being nervous. He had. "Welcome to the Department of Mysteries. I was just on my way to the archives. If you follow me, I can give you a tour of your new working premises."

This man was his boss? The keeper of some of the biggest secrets of their kind? If anything though he was sure that this man wasn't all that he seemed. People never were.
"Mr. Mitterbill.. Pleasure to meet you. That would be wonderful, I was actually just wondering about that." He looked around, so many doors. "How do the doors work? Do you always just say where you'd like to go and they take you or what?" He had a million other questions but he wasn't going to just spit them all out now, no need to overwhelm him.

"That's about the way of it, Mr. Prince." Jasper replied in answer to Nathan's question about the doors and how they work. "Though not all will respond to just any voice. A certain level of clearance is needed for the doors behind which are the more sensitive of secrets." Things that could harm people and the like if they were to be let free. "We'll be visiting all of the rooms for which you'll have clearance today. Showing you around, how to work some of the equipment and such. Anything that you might be unfamiliar with."
"Oh!" He added absent-mindedly. "And I do have something that you'll need to sign. A waiver form asking that you keep what you work on here a close guarded secret. But we'll sign that once we reach Archives. Pardon me for not using a levitating charm and asking you to sign it now, but I'd rather not risk destroying what's beneath the sheet. Once shattered they never do work quite the same." He explained slightly moving the sheeted object of which he spoke.
"Archives and records." He said outloud once again sending the room spinning in a blue-lit blur until they stopped before one of the more or less non-descript black doors. "Right this way, Mr. Prince." Jasper stepped through first.

"Right this way, Mr. Prince." Jasper stepped through first. Nate nodded and took everything in, listening. It didn't seem like too much to keep up with. Some doors only opened for people with certain clearance levels. Which was someone he wanted more of. Now, please and thank you.
"All right, that makes sense. You don't want people getting into things they shouldn't." Cause why else would security clearance exist? "Perfectly understandable, Wouldn't want anything to get ruined and please just call me Nathan or Nate. Mr.Prince sounds too stuffy." He thought about saying that was his father's name? But maybe that would have been too cheesy? It was only one of his father's names.
"That way it is.." it was all a bit of a blur, but an exciting one. A very blue one. There was the door. What fun this job would be.

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna No, he wasn't spying.
Nope, Simon was regularly supposed to be here. Outside the MLE but still inside the Ministry, doing rounds as was part of his job in the field of security. But that didn't mean that the new department head's order wasn't part of the reason he had come down to the Department of Mysteries. But it was only one reason, the other being his usual rounds on Level 9 as well as a check in with the man who was the rare department he might actually call a friendly acquaintance.
Having been familiar with the way the mysterious level worked, as well as his clearance, the security man made his way through the public entrance of the department into the inner bowels. Within the door chamber, he set about making his request, hoping the man was free to meet with him. "Mr. Mitterbill's office."
