After walking away from the bat, Sting was on his way back to the AWESOME wasp merchandise when, OH A FAN! Picking up HIS bobble head. That's right. No one wanted a bat or a leprechaun, they wanted a REAL mascot.
Sting bounced his way over to the fan giving a wiggle of approval to the scarf. Now this was HIS kind of people. Stopping right near the bobble heads he waved happily. Anyone with a camera nearby?
He didn't have to FORCE his bobble head prize packs upon people. They actually WANTED a mini-Sting.
"MR STING." Corbin almost gasped as the mascot approached him, and put down the bobble head to get a closer look at the REAL thing. This was so cool. "Do you know my Auntie Kaia? She's a beater." He nodded smugly, because LOADS of people knew her and her very own mascot should definitely know her. It was so cool, this whole thing! And his dad was one of the in-charge people!
Not that his dad was cool. Ahem. He also signed up for the raffley thing. He wasn't sure what it was, but the Irish thing - the leprechaun, was shouting about it, so it must be good. He was allowed, right? It wasn't like his DAD was signing up!

But now a little voice made him turn his head. Grinning, Ty looked down at the not so small Corbin. "Well, maybe a certain someone won't run off next time," Maybe that'll finally teach Nate a lesson.
Grinning, Nathan turned around and tackled his best mate to the ground. YES. NOW LET THE FUN BEGIN. "Duh! Of course I would be here! I wouldn't miss it for anything. Even if dad is being grouchy," But that was only because his dad worked loads and didn't take much breaks. Which is why they barely saw him at home.. Anyway. Getting off Corb, Nate pulled him back up on his feet and looked at his scarf. "Ooooh, good choice," The blonde grinned.
"Is your dad with your mum somewhere? Did you actually manage to escape?" Nudge nudge.
"I think," Corbin began, looking up at his uncle as innocently as he could manage - which wasn't very innocent. He didn't make for a good seven year old - "that it's part of his... 'nature' and you have to accept that." That's what he'd overheard his parents saying about the way he acted sometimes, and he was sure it could apply to Nathan, too.
He'd barely finished speaking, and giving Tyler a nod, when his feet went out from underneath him and he was laying backwards on the grass. "Woah." He wrestled his friend a little before he began speaking, and was maybe a little out of breath when he was pulled back up. "Dads." He said under his breath, rolling his eyes. "Glad you came. Now I'm not stuck with Saffron all day."
Corbin ran his fingers through his hair, very much like his father did, far too often. "Mum and Saff are over there." Cue head jerk towards the foody place. "At least, that's were I left them. Dad's working at the broom trials thing. He said there's an invisible one. We should try it!"

Accepting his differences even if she wasn't celebrating it. It was hard to bond with a kid when you were opposites where most things were concerned.
Tame, no trouble, it was exactly what she liked to hear. "Excellent, let's keep it that way," she acknowledged, giving one of the mascots a look over Branxton's shoulder. They were perhaps too exuberant at times, it ought to be a crime, alas it wasn't. "How's the perimeter?" she asked, curious for the blondes perspective.
"My brother and I grew up Puddlemere fans. Local team and all," Vivi was watching the crowd, although her words were for Emily. Just taking it all in, yup. Watching for sticky fingers or guilty faces. "But my roommate is a Harpy, and my boyfriend is an Arrow, so I'm having to choose my loyalties carefully. It's only a conflict when they occasionally play each other, honestly." And then she cheered for Selina, because Max didn't mind.
Did that make her sound wishywashy? Was she supposed to stay a Puddlemere fan for arbitrary reasons when she had a good reason to cheer for someone else? Best not over think it. "Perimeter could be sloppy on a regular game day, but they've limited entrance to a few manageable spots and people are contained. It's pretty easy to monitor people as they come and go."
Victoria nodded towards Mariel, hmm she hadn’t noticed coming in, but maybe people weren’t being made aware of it. Where was Langen? Maybe she could make an announcement at some point. “We can figure out how to make people more aware. That shouldn’t be too hard.” Giving Mariel a confident smile. They had been friends before she became her boss, but she still worried that she was doing a good job at this position. She didn’t want to disappoint no matter how she looked at it. Thought the event was going well which was good. She knew she was more of the background for it. It was Mariel who would shine or fall if it went bad or good being the department head. So Vic would make sure she shined like she deserved.
Turning her attention back towards Cameron she took some of the items and started heading towards the register. “Alright Cam, it will be my pleasure to help. It’s certainly what I’m here for today.” she set the items down so they could be checked out. Her smile didn’t last long though when he mentioned not getting things to her. “I know that school just frustrates me more and more each term. I thought last term was bad, but no communication. I feel like the Prophet is right. No one gets held responsible and we are never informed.” She had been really voicing her opinion about it lately and was fully thinking of contacting the Minister.
“That’s very sweet, but you are super busy with all your fans, I’ll get the things signed sooner or later. I will be back in the autograph tents checking up on things again after here.” She was on her second set of rounds to make sure it was all going smoothly. “Oh I bet she did, Bart was livid and he would have certainly complained to her of all people.” They were close and Vic was positive they were in one of those adorable first type of relationships, but she wouldn’t go out and say that if they really weren’t.
Cam went ahead over toward the counter and sat the things he had in his hands down. He nodded. "Thanks and by the way you and your department did a wonderful job with this event." He gave her an encouraging smile. Before they started talking about the going ons at Hogwarts. It seems both of their happy moods has gone out the door with this topic."Yeah, I know. This is the first time shes gone off to school. I like to make sure she's okay or needs anything. And now she's got this boyfriend, don't know what his name is." Cinna could at least gave him the name, right? Anyway not knowing what was going on was the worse. "We should have been notified about it sooner. and not from the paper." That was just opinion on it.
"I really don't mind. Maybe when you come by I can sign something then." Cam loved doing things for the fans. He could remember being a kid and wanting every players autograph. Heck there were some here he'd like to have. He still had all of them from his childhood. He would have been mad as a hornet if he couldn't come to something like this. "Probably they are pretty close friends." He nodded. He couldn't tell who she hung out with more over the summer Bart or the girls. But it did sound like something they would have talked about.

About to grab something from one of the shelves, Nathan saw someone, or something approaching him.
OH. MASCOT!
When the mascot began dancing, Nathan followed his moves and danced along. Yes, he liked this one very much. The only mascot that had interacted with him so far. The bat's team might not have been the boy's favorite but he liked the mascot. Plenty. The bat even gave his dad a prize. Those were fun too! Maybe Nate's dad can let him see what was inside later.
See the boy knew what was up! He rocked the batty dance moves with Barny. Wiggling around more moving his hands in the air and jumping a bit. Was the boy still dancing? Barny didn't have any doubt he'd be dancing with him still.
Moon walking a bit away he turned and strutted toward the kid again. Putting a batty hand up for a big Barny high five! The kid wasn't too old for hugs, was he? Well he was getting one and moving closer he opened his arms and gave a big batty hug!
Letting go of the boy he gave him a hair ruffle before he strutted towards someone else to entertain.
Once he had passed out some of the prize bags, Barny put the rest back on the table. Going over to Sting as he acted all cool with a fan, it was time to show the fan who was the coolest mascot there!
WIGGLE BUM.. WIGGLE BUM... WIGGLE WIGGLE BUM
BARNY. That bat was going to be the death of the wasp. Couldn't he see that Sting had BETTER things to do? He was interacting with an AMAZING fan. No time for a batty bug. Sting just looked over and waved his waspy hand as if to say 'shoo Barny' and added a STINGER WIGGLE for good measure. Ha.

He liked that. A lot
The wasp gave the boy a little happy pat on the head. Kaia, OF COURSE he knew her she was his favorite on the team. Yep, yep! Mr. Sting buzzed happily and added a few enthusiastic head nods and extended hands. Kaia was AWESOME and a great beater too!

SPOILER!!: Mariel
Mariel nodded at Victoria's words. "I'm certain we can. Perhaps some product placement and an announcement can make people more aware. If you see Langen, perhaps have her informing our guests about the raffle and that it's free to enter." People liked free, didn't they? And she would suppose the sheer number of things that were actually for sale had the possibility to overwhelm people that they didn't realize there was a giveaway as well.
Good.. Vic seemed to be doing well, it seemed everything else was under control and the blonde was attending to the needs of one of the players. Allowing her to do her job, Mariel turned to Saxon again as she confirmed things were going well, though her words kind of struck her. "The mascots?" Mariel glanced in the direction of the dancing trio again. "They appear to be doing their job and quite well, I might add." Other than dancing too close to the brooms, but they seemed to have cottoned on to the meaning of her look and were interacting with the fans being more careful of the merchandise. Oh and Lucky was promoting their raffle.. perfect. She sent the three mascots an approving smile and waved back at them before turning back to Saxon and glancing in the direction of the screaming baby. "If she is that bothered by a few silly mascots, perhaps she's a bit too young to be around them," the Department Head flatly suggested. Her mother should know what she could or could not handle and perhaps go to another area if she was that upset. They were perfectly harmless and she certainly wasn't going to chastise them because of a crying baby. Babies often cried over things that were of no consequence and the rest of the fans loved them.
Mariel turned to Aron and beamed proudly at his words. "You flatter me. I can't tell you how pleased I would be to have a hand in hosting the World Cup." There had been talks of that a couple years ago, but she had really felt that someone had dropped the ball along the way. She would see to it that that would not happen again. It would be her next goal. "Perfect," she nodded as he informed her that the charms had been completed with no issue. "I will do that, thank you. And I do hope they have an enjoyable time as well." Even if they were technically working at the same time. And while she would never admit it, not being an emotional person, it did mean a great deal to her that another Department Head was there commenting on the event's success. She really appreciated the support of the Ministry.
Alright.. so he wasn't much into Quidditch and didn't seem so sure on what to purchase. But perhaps his wife was a fan.. Mariel affected a mild distasteful look as he mentioned the threat. "Completely dreadful," she said with a subtle shake of her head. "Not only is it terrible for the students, but a headache for our department and no one in the league is very happy about it either." Increased security made few happy, not to mention now that had to find creative ways to recruit new players. Something else her department had to handle now. Still, thankfully nothing seemed to materialize of the threat, though there were no talks of who was behind all this nonsense. Not that that surprised her. But she doubted that Aron was all that interested in an in-depth conversation on the subject.
And perhaps he wasn't completely sure that his wife approved of the catapults as she noticed he set the small shirt back down. Her recommendations? She glanced over the merchandise as she mulled it over. "Well.. if you're not certain what team, perhaps one of these general Quidditch shirts?" She pointed to a few with just the word on it with a cute design, or the 'Can't Catch Me' with a picture of a snitch, or the hoops with 'I'm a Keeper.' Hmm, she had a few little ones in her life that she'd have to remember to pick up a few before she left for the day as well. "A mascot plushie? Or one of the toy balls.." Of course, if he didn't know what team, the mascot might not do well either.. but what 3 year old didn't love a ball?
As she let Aron browse a bit, she turned her eyes to the ever-growing crowd. Ah, there was Langen. Mariel watched for a moment as she chatted up one of the pros, her eyes narrowing a bit as she noticed the blush on the girl's cheeks. She wasn't sure if her employee was flirting with the man or trying to be charming in the attempt of selling a few things. But she had better hope that it was the latter. None of her employees were here to pick up Quidditch players, certainly not married ones ten years their senior, and she expected them all to conduct themselves professionally. Langen would do well to remember that or Mariel would be happy to remind her. And this player she knew.. in fact, she had the privilege of playing Quidditch with him at a point in her own career.
"Robert Chambers." Mariel donned a welcoming smile as she approached them. "How nice of you to come out today. Mariel Morgan, Department Head of Magical Games and Sports. We were both on Ravenclaw's Quidditch team many years ago." In case he didn't recognize her, which Mariel really didn't expect him to. Though she was pretty awesome back in the day. It was over a decade ago and though it was her job to keep up on players, she made it a point to know about those certain names she'd come across. Most specifically those she went to school with. "I hope you're finding everything well.. ?" She turned again to Langen giving her a pointed look. "Once you're finished helping Mr. Chambers, I'd like you to talk up our raffle to those that come by. Not many are signing up for it which tells me not many know about it." Why else wouldn't they sign up for free prizes?
As Mariel said about Langen she noticed the girl finally out of the corner of her eye. “Yes, I think Langen would be perfect since she’s overlooking this area.” She couldn’t help but squint at her. She knew she wasn’t a sales person for the day, right? Their job wasn’t to sell things it was to make sure the entire event ran smoothly. She kept watching her a bit more as she seemed chummy with the player. Maybe she knew him personally? Though he seemed much much older, maybe an uncle or something. Vic didn’t put much thought into it and turned to look at other things. The mascots seemed to be doing better and had the baby stopped crying? That was fantastic it, didn’t need people running off because they were annoyed by a baby.
Overhearing Mariel giving Langen a job that they had just discussed the thirty five year old’s brown eyes snapped as it seemed Langen ignored Mariel fully. She hadn’t even said anything to show she heard the Department Head’s words. No, no this wasn’t going to go over well, but Mariel was the head boss, so she figured she’d let her continue to deal with the issue for now. If Langen kept up the flirty behavior and ignoring her duties she’d be pulled from the area to do something different.

Oh his thanking did bring a nice smile to Victoria’s face, “Well I’m glad you are enjoying it. My department head will be pleased to know that players are having as much fun as the fans. My team certainly have worked hard.” She was proud of her workers and would have to really show her appreciation soon. “Oh, that’s right. I forgot she didn’t go last term. I had seen her at a match or two last term when Bart played.” She chuckled at the reminder. “The first time I saw her I actually noticed her because of my son’s sweatshirt she was wearing.” It was a shirt that at first she thought could just be the same, but the more she looked at it the more she knew it was his.
She chuckled at the man, not meaning to be mean, but he was clueless and it was kind of sweet in a not so great for a parent way. She summed it up as he was a man and oblivious to the obvious. “I could give you that name, Bart.” There he knew now, how he didn’t know before she wasn’t sure. Vic had known for some time, but it was a bit obvious if he just observed them together. “I’m just grateful we have the paper, at least we do find out.” If they didn’t have the prophet they’d never know what was going on.
“That would be wonderful thank you. I know he would love something with your name on it. He’s very close with Wade Potter since Wade’s father and I were almost married, so I’ll probably be near the Tornado’s soon enough.” She gave another smile, he seemed about done so she didn’t want to keep him if he was ready to leave.

SPOILER!!: Langen
Okay, Langen would admit, she was a bit of a flirt, but the charm seemed to have paid off. Because now he was asking her what to buy. And well, of course she wasn't going to mention low priced items. He was a quidditch player for goodness sakes, he could pay for the higher ones. But still, she had blushed before, and not in the way she had don when the chesnut haired girl made stupid mistakes at work or when she got an answer wrong in class. But... whatever. He was married. And older. And the twenty year old had stuff to do before she even thought about anything like that.
"Well, we have lots of merchandise here. Let's see, I'm betting your kids have brooms, but do they have ~new~ brooms? Kids grow extremely fast, why not get new brooms for the tykes?" She was speaking fasterthan normal on purpose, making sure that she only enuciated key words. Get him buying all the expensive stuff and get the ministry money. But still, there was an edge to her flirting with him that she kind of missed. Whatever. He was old. And she had a sister and mom to take care of. She couldn't get in the middle of anything like this right now. Also, cue the game show host movements over the brooms to make them look more appealing. How did that even work? Was there any legitimate science about that? It was hard to know.
"And if brooms seem like too much, get your kids a shirt with your team on it, so they'll always be supporting their dad." She was becoming good at this. But this sale was taking a while. Seriously, the brown eyed girl saw houses sell faster than this! More charm, or less charm. Her boss was looking now and it didn't seem like she was happy. Okay, well that could be fixed. And without coffee too. Big sales made bosses happy, right? Hmm, maybe she could be a muggle sales woman if this ministry thing didn't work out.
"Of course, nothing says Happy Birthday like getting ~both~ for your kids. Something to consider. Maybe get something for your wife too?" Merlins beard! The tall girl was asking for a lot here. But hopefully the sales charm paid off, because he looked amused. Smiling once more at him, she sent her boss a secret "sorry if I'm coming on really strong, but making big sales here" look.
Robert was watching the girl rather amused as she chatted on about what he could by though he already knew what he was going to do it was amusing nonetheless. He looked up as he heard his name and put on his, I'm famous look at me, grin. This time however the face looked familiar though he couldn't place it. When she introduced himself though his grin turned genuine and he laughed, "I remember you. Couldn't place the face though." Before he could say anything else though her attention turned to the young woman he was with.
He reached up and scratched the back of his head a little embarrassed. Obviously Mariel was this one's boss. He didn't mean to get anyone in trouble. Then the banter went from playful and flirty to all business and he sighed. Oh well. "I'll take two of everything with Puddlemere United on it," he said offhandedly. He did that every place he went and Liz hated it but tough. Only thing he wouldn't get from these places was brooms not because the quality was worse but because then Liz really would kill him. He turned his attention to Mariel and smiled, "So besides putting these things together what have you been doing?"
Cameron really hoped this would become yearly thing. That would be nice. He went ahead and paid for everything before turning back to Vic. "I've been excited about it since I found out about it. I've not done one there before." They had lots of these meet and greets in America when he had that short stint playing there. He was glad to have came back to his hometown to play. Cam nodded "Yeah, my mother homeschooled her her first two years. She begged to go to Hogwarts. I was very hesitant to let her go. Even with mums health deteriorating." Another bad thing about this no communication thing.
The chaser knew exactly what sweatshirt she was talking about. Actually he remembered Cinna saying that he had gave her the sweatshirt. But he didn't think anything about it then. "Yeah, I know exactly which one you're talking about," It was a year ago or something. She was way to young to be thinking about boys. She still was. Cam blinked. Confiding in her about this event, giving her his sweatshirt, and them spending so much time together. Really? Just as the obvious slapped him in the face. He heard her say it. "Honestly I'm surprised that I didn't realize it sooner." Mothers were the ones who noticed these things, right? It all did make sense though. He was relived that I was Bart and not some older student that was like three years older or something. Still she wasn't old enough to be dating yet. In his opinion.
"Thank goodness. At least we know why we're not hearing from them." If out if the blue he just stopped hearing from her he would have gone mad. It was bad enough the short span that he wondered where her letters were. Cam smiled when he heard her mention Wade. "Good guy, love playing with him. Very talented." But by the way it sounded how they knew each other she probably already knew that. "Well come on by. We'll be there." He said with a chuckle.

"It'll be even more complicated if my younger brother gets recruited. I'm not too fussed over it, to be honest, but it's possibly due to my antisocial tendencies." As in she didn't really care if someone's feelings got hurt in the short term, because Merlin knew she couldn't be a fan of every team in the league.
Vivi nodded along at Emily's assessment as she tucked her own gift bag away inside an expanded pocket. "I can't see why it wouldn't go smoothly, but I'll do another sweep of the entrances before I come back to this area." Unless Emily wanted her to look somewhere else?
"This sure is a great way to spend the day. Really exciting being here." Kate was totally sounding like a fanatic, all jumpy and bubbly. Heck that was her natural personality to begin with. "I had to cancel a few meetings to escape here." Giggle. Giggle. Because it was true.
Oh geez favorite team? Hmm. Kate tapped her index finger on her chin and thought about the question, for a second. "I'm terrible, I don't really have a favorite team." Kate bit her lip. The woman liked them all! Some players more than others. Wink. Wink. "What about you, Winston. Who's your favorite team?" Kate redirected the question back to the handsome fellow, in front of her.
Winston nodded. He couldn't have thought of a better to spend his last few days here in the city. He laughed lightly at her excitement. It was adorable. Then again, once he got started talking about his team, he'd probably sound like that too. "Nothing wrong with playing a little hooky every now and then."
Winston waved it off. "Nothing wrong with that." It would probably be much easier to just be a casual fan. Not a diehard like he was. "I'm a wasps man myself. I have an embarrassing amount of memorabilia." Sad but true.
Ember wondered into the little area with the souvenirs and merchandise. Wow. So much COOL stuff though! Hehe, she totally would be entering her name to win some stuff! She may not follow Quidditch, but who cared?! This was all for fun, and who knew, maybe Ember would eventually follow a team now that she was settled with a job and stuff!
She glanced around, still not seeing any familiar faces...now that she thought about it, Derek did not seem like the type that would come here and enjoy himself, so he probably wouldn't be here. But Dmitry would, somewhere? She would have to look for him eventually because...hehe, she liked him. he was a friend to her already, and she had to SOMEHOW make up for the pizza thing!
But for now, she just smiled and waved at the little mascot, the Leprechaun? one was sooo cute as well as all the others. UGH EMBER THOUGHT THEY WERE JUST SOOOO CUTE! She grinned and at his call stepped up to him. "I want a ticket!" she squeeeealed! Her little voice was all EXCITED and such! Prizes were fun! This whole THING was fun! She was glad she had decided to come, even with being relatively new AND not being a Quidditch person!
He! HeheheHEE! Le Mascot ppeeeeoples were tooo cute!
"AYE. Just fill yer name 'nd details on dis 'ere slip!"
'Uge, massive grins to the little voice, 'nd a wave t'wards d'table with d'paper. Boss for d'day lady would be pretty happy now, 'e thought! Fishin' around the merchandise. Swippin' some Sting and Barny stuff under d'table. Pullin' out a lil'Leprechaun. "AYE. 'Ave some Lucky to take along with yer!" 'Anding the bobble'ead to the girl along with a golden coin.
WEEHEEEHEE.
Any more fans?
With a glance to d'other mascots, Lucky began 'is Oirish dancin'.
She was kissing the babies head as another woman approached them. "Yes everything is fine thank you." she said still eyeing all the mascots still as they all backed off. "Just fi.. oh! Mariel.. is it?" that'd be embarrassing if not. "Ethan's Aunt?" riiight? was she right? She'd met her briefly quite a few times but Ariana was never one to remember faces that well. "the event is lovely by the way." she did work in this area, yeah? heh mummy brain.

Mariel was slightly distracted now, her focus mainly on making sure this area was going well, though she did try to indulge in some conversation as well. "Hmm?" Green eyes landed back on Minerva's friend again as she spoke. Ah good, was her child settled now? "Yes.. it is Mariel and I am Ethan's aunt," she nodded slightly, giving the young woman a faint smile. She had seen her last when Gunnar was born, but she remembered her all the same, being at her nephew's wedding as well. Ariana.. it took her a minute, but she was fairly certain that that was her name. "Thank you, I do hope you're enjoying yourself.." It was nice to hear that things were going well from the attendees as well.
But really, work was on her mind right at the moment, as there were a couple minor issues that needed worked out at the moment and she turned her eyes back to Victoria again. "Yes, one would think that," she said somewhat pointedly. Langen was meant to be supervising the area, yet she seemed to not understand the job description. Did she not realize that they had paid people to ring things up for them? "There appears to be some sort of misunderstanding," she mentioned flatly to her Quidditch Division Manager. "We have enough salesgirls here." And not only was the girl was coming on far too strong for her liking in a couple different ways but she did not at all acknowledge what she had said to her. A big mistake in Mariel's eyes, perhaps she would have been better suited elsewhere.
What was she doing? Mariel watched Langen a moment longer, eyebrow raised and clearly unimpressed as she began even more aggressively making her sales pitch. She took a very deep breath, inhaling then exhaling through her nose before stepping closer to her so as to speak to her privately. She was not a fan of public reprimanding and spoke lowly so that she was heard, but only by Langen. "Miss Rathers," she began calmly, trying to remain professional and keep the sharpness out of her voice. "I require you to supervise this area, making sure things are running smoothly and assisting where necessary, such as answering questions, pointing people in the right direction, making suggestions as needed. I do not need you to pressure anyone into making purchases, least of all the players." They were their guests and did not need anyone cramming merchandise down their throats that they likely already owned. Nor did she care to have any of her employees looking for a date with one of the players when they were to remain professional while working. "You are not being employed as a salesgirl here, we have clerks to ring up sales." She gestured to the people contracted through the stadium. "I ask that you oversee this area. If that is too much responsibility, tell me now and I will place you elsewhere." Hopefully she was clear about her duties now because it was essential that everything run smoothly today.
That being taken care of, Mariel walked back over to Robert and offered him a small smile. "My apologies," she mentioned rather distractedly, for a few reasons, none that needed mentioning now as it was over and done with in the 29 year old's mind. But at least the man seemed pretty good-natured about everything and had taken it all in stride. Two of everything?"Oh, only if you really want all of that.." she began, looking a bit dubiously. "I certainly don't want you to feel pressured into buying so much. Certainly you probably own much of the Puddlemere United merchandise?" She had to chuckle at the last bit but.. was it because of the aggressive sales pitch? She certainly didn't want the players to feel uncomfortable. But she supposed that was left to him now. She had reminded Langen of her duties here today and not much could be done about what had already transpired.
She smiled a bit wider as she heard his question. "Well.. once this event is over, the next thing I have to plan is a wedding." She wiggled the fingers of her left hand a bit. The brunette knew that men likely did not gush over rings the way her girlfriends did, but she did not care. It was far too exciting for her to not show it off. "And though I thoroughly enjoy overseeing the department, I do at times miss my days playing pro." It had been more than a few years now and though she thought she still looked fantastic, she knew she wasn't in quite the exquisite athletic shape she had once been in. It was telling when she went back to New Zealand for a few days last year to train with her old team and ended up injured. "And you.. things are going well?" She did try to keep up with some of the pros who she remembered from school or elsewhere. "How's Elizabeth? Did she come with you today?" It would be nice to say hello to her as well.

He did flatter her, and he was feeling rather smug about it. Of course hosting the World Cup would mean busy times for his department, which could either be a good thing or a bad thing, but usually also meant overtime hours which meant more galleons in the pocket. Hardly anything to wrinkle your nose at.
And really, he could only imagine the headache all that had caused. Merlin knew Emily was displeased with it all as well, but last he had heard there was an investigation going on of some sort. Seemed to be kept well under wraps for the time being. Hopefully it would stay that way as well.
But now on to more pleasant conversation. "Oh, I quite fancy that 'Can't Catch Me' shirt," he nodded while reaching over to pick it up. He checked the size on the tag, refolding ones that were too small or too big until he found one that he guesstimated was the proper size. "Why not, let's throw in a toy ball or two!"
He would pass on the mascot stuffed toys, by the way. Especially since he was reminded of their presence around him thanks to the one wiggling its bum all around.

Handing over some gold and silver to the sales assistant, with a generous tip, Emily turned her attention fully to Branxton. Sloppy on game days... "That's not our concern. They've got our evaluation, what they do with security on those occasions in their prerogative. So long as this event goes smoothly we've done our jobs."

Oh, look, speaking of investigation...sort of.
"Emily, Genevieve, good to see you both," he greeted casually. "Buying your wares as well I see." Had Genevieve ever spoken with his wife about professional quidditch while she had been at student at Hogwarts? Surely they had sat near each other during matches at least. Did SHE know what team his wife favored?

Tyler just tilted his head at his smallish nephew. Well, not like blood related but still really close enough. Part of his nature? Nathan must've had a really strange one then. Maybe he got it from his mother. Great.
"As if I'd actually let you be stuck with Sofa all day! You already deal with her at home so why on an exciting day???? Best mates don't do that!" Nope. Especially not with annoying girls who made you dress up in princess costumes because she was bored. N O P E.
Nathan nodded and listened to Corb. Lost Aunt Glitter and Sofa at the food place. Uncle Adam's doing some broom thing. And something about an INVISIBLE BROOM?! THEY DEFINITELY NEEDED TO TRY IT. "Let's go then! I'm sure dad and these mascots won't mind us leaving," Cue grin.

Robert watched as Mariel went and talked to the nice girl who had been helping him and shrugged. Wasn't his place to get involved. As Mariel came back over he smiled at her and hearing her question raised an eyebrow as she tried to talk him out of it. "Oh I own a ton of Puddlemere United stuff but when you have a five year old and a nine year old things break or get old and they want new stuff. He shrugged and looked around, "Besides I always need a reason for Liz to get mad at me," he said with a smirk.
Robert listened to Mariel as he poked the little bobble head guy to make him wobble. A wedding? He looked up to see the ring on her finger and ginned, "Congratulations!" He liked weddings contrary to most guys. "Anyone I know?" Probably not but hey it was a small world sometimes. He listened to her speak about her old playing days with an almost nostalgic tone and he smiled softly. He didn't know what he would do if he couldn't play. "At least you got a career now related to it so you can still get your Quidditch fix." Hearing her question about him he grinned. "Oh I'm good. Same old same old. Liz is great and yeah she should be around here somewhere with our daughter. We also have a little 5 year old mini me but he's trapped at her cousins house." He looked thoughtful and down at his wedding ring. "Overall...I guess we're pretty good. You should try to find her I'm sure she'd love to catch up." She didn't get out a whole bunch really what with the kids and all.
Buuuuzzz were his WASP ears working extra fine today, or did he just hear A WASP FAN!?
Sting buzzed his way over EXTRA happy and danced around the two engaged in conversation. Fun stinger wiggles for you sir! Lot's of wiggles for you!

Add a brother to the mix and it most definitely sounded like something to be avoided like the plague. She didn't have patience for such things, rivalries, people... people were annoying. In that respect she and Genevieve were very much alike, only, the young Auror seemed to have more patience with it than her. "Mmm, I hear you," she concurred, the antisocial part ringing true. Branxton would manage though, it was hardly a life/death concern.
"If you could that would be appreciated, I'm going to do the rounds and check on the others..." see if they had anything to report, "if you need anything, holler."
Emily had been around ready to go, stuffing the goods into her inner jacket pocket. She wasn't all that keen on being seen with Arrows merch more than she already had been. Of course it seemed as though her departure would have to wait. "Aron, good to see you too," she greeted, small smile in place for her fellow Department Head. "For the boy, of course," she clarified, "and yourself?"

That’s exactly what she wanted to hear, that the players were just as excited as the fans. “Well I’m glad, we really wanted something for all the teams and the fans. I’ve helped with events on a team basis, but this has truly just brought it all together.” It was a career dream come true for the thirty five year old. “It is great to hear that the players are as excited as the fans though, so thank you.” She really did appreciate it. Without the players there would be no event, so they were the ones that should be thanked. “Well it was probably exciting for her to get out with friends at a school setting. We’ve both been at that school, we know what fun we had, even with all the weird things, I try to remind myself that it’s the best school around.” She still believed that deep down, it was just getting harder. “I’m sorry to hear about your mother, though. That has to be difficult.” Her own parents, were still in good health and she was very grateful since they were her daughter’s caregivers through the day.
It was interesting to watch, it was like you could actually see the gears in his head turning as she spoke. Oh he knew the sweatshirt, so there were clues. Good Cinnamon wasn’t just hiding everything from him on purpose. One positive about how she felt about her son, he told her pretty much everything, never a secret. She chuckled a bit, “I wasn’t expecting it to be fully honest. I’ve given Bart a very poor start when it comes to examples for good relationships. After the divorce and now my engagement to his sisters father, he was pretty bitter when it came to even the thought of the topic, but he is of that age I guess.” Growing up way to fast in her opinion.
She nodded distracted for a moment, “Yes, I guess that is the positive side of things. I’m just very tired of weird things happening. This is only is second term there and he was so old last term I didn’t recognize him, then to get an owl that he had a stroke in class. I know it was just an accident from a reaction to some potion one of the professors was taking or whatever they explained it as, but my son could have died.” She frowned at the thoughts of him at St. Mungos. “Now this no one can get in or out. It’s just wearing on parents. The minister really needs to step in.” She was fully positive he did.
Trying to put it out of her mind she nodded, “He really is. I got to see him play at Hogwarts, I was on bed rest for most of the season though with his sisters, so I didn’t get to see much. I really need to make it to a Tornado’s match soon to watch him again.” She smiled in a motherly way thinking about how proud she was of him. “The hard part about growing attached to children when you are in a relationship, but gosh enough of the sob story from me. I shouldn’t keep you from your adoring fans.” She blushed knowing she went on a bit too much.

Green eyes landed back on Minerva's friend again as she spoke.
Watching the girl interact with Robert more Victoria just shook her head a bit, “I know I gave them all their job descriptions and went through exactly what they were to do.” Was this something she overlooked, maybe Langen misunderstood her, though she knew her notes and her meetings were all done exactly the way she felt they should be. Watching a bit more she could tell Mariel was irritated by this, and since she was the manager it was her responsibility to take the blame to her teams mistakes. “I can speak with her if needed and move her somewhere else. I’m sorry for this issue to come up.” She really didn’t like this little issue, everything had been going smoothly and she was taking pride in her team. Her team still did an amazing job, but this was school girl behavior not professional. She watched as Mariel took Langen aside, she knew she needed the misunderstanding straightened out and fully supported her boss in doing so. She just felt she had done something somewhere wrong being in the position that she was.
"I like your way of thought, very true." Kate agreed. After all she was the boss of her own company and what she says goes.
Oh good! He didn't have a problem with her indecisive mind. Kate giggled and was amazed all at the same time. Did Winston really have a collection, like he just said. "Really? Care to tell me about it?" No shame in having your own guilty pleasures. "If anything I have a crazy collection of toy model cars." Totally has nothing to do with Quidditch, but everything to do with guilty pleasures. Kate flashed her trademark bright smile.

Good. At least his work ethic wasn't being questioned. Not that Winston ever played hooky. He loved his job too much. Plus he got paid to travel.
Winston beamed, not embarrassed in the slightest about his collection. "I have oodles of posters and flags and even some towels and weird things like that." Yeah. He'd gone a little crazy. "Cars? Would never have pegged you as a car girl." Ah that smile. Winston had to admit she had an amazing smile.

WIGGLES FOR EVERYONE!
He was drawn away from Kate's smile as Sting the Wasp came over! Okay. Winston may be twenty-five, but his eyes lit up like a child's. He wasn't lying when he said he was a fan. Fanatic is more like it.
Winston laughed as he wiggled his behind back at the mascot. Yep. Day well spent.

He sure was interesting. It was nice to once again meet someone who wasn't afraid or shy to be their simple self. Like sure she was a model and constantly in the public eye, but behind all that she was a simply down to earth human being from Detroit, Michigan. "Are they autographed?" Kathryn beamed, his memorabilia would be worth a lot!
There were many quirks people didn't know about Kate. One of those quirks was her obsession for these toy modeled cars, an obsession her step-dad started. Kate giggled, "Not many people know that. I really have this enormous collection, it's insane!" She really did. Some ladies have cats, Kate has cars.
Kate had a giggle fit, watching Winston shaking his bum at the mascot. It was adorable and funny all at the same time.

The Quidditch event was the big news and Addison had decided to make a trip to see what was going on. A father and son day out since Fina was still very much caught up at Hogwarts. It was a shame really and the cursebreaker was trying not to dwell on the news, the rare news, they were getting from the school. He absently shook his head to push those thoughts away, bouncing Septimus lightly as he held him in his arms.
"Mum sure is missing out, eh?" he mused as the boy's eyes flittered about over all the various items the area had to offer. Addison picked up one of the welcome gift bags and carefully shrunk it so he could place it in the pocket of his bag. If there was one thing he had learned early on in fatherhood was the need to have as few things in his grasp as he could while carrying his son. Less weight for him and less chance of Septimus getting a hold of it when he was looking elsewhere.

The event at Exmoor Stadium was supposedly a big deal and even though Alex had played the sport in Hogwarts, she hadn't really followed much of the professional league since leaving school. But of course the fact that she'd been on a different continent for much of the time since leaving didn't really help in keeping tabs on the European league.
Nonetheless she wanted to show support for Mariel's department, because she did like the woman on the few times she ran into her. And she wanted to talk to her brother-in-law. About the situation at Hogwarts. About her sister.
"Addison!" Alex exclaimed, catching sight of him, early on after picking up one of the welcome gift bags and slipping it into her tote. She would fill out one of the raffle tickets later. First things first. "And there's my handsome nephew! My how big he's getting!" she cooed at Septimus, holding out her hands towards him. "You look just like your daddy, but there's definitely a Hadley look about you. Must be the eyes." It was always the eyes.

She did try to keep up with some of the pros who she remembered from school or elsewhere. "How's Elizabeth? Did she come with you today?" It would be nice to say hello to her as well.
Well, she had messed that one up again. Running her hand through her chestnut colored hair and crossing her one leg behind the other, she tried to stop herself (rather sucessfully) from becoming tomato red, feeling rather awkward. Sometimes she felt too young an inexperienced for her job. Maybe she should've waited a few years to apply. Too ambitious, she was. And she needed to tink things through. But one mistake did not equal the end of evergthing. That was her mothers rule. The twenty year old still had the rest of the day to do her job well and make up for the mistake earlier. Hopefully. Marial seemed really unhappy about her selling. A fear tingle went through her, though she smiled it off and went about her buisness. The ministry was not a place for fear, it was a place for thinkers and a place for people who knew what to do and when to do it. And that was what Langen would do.
"Sorry about the sales pressure. My aunt always said I'd make a better sales clerk than an official." Little white lie, but it sounded good. Well that was strange. Langen never lied before in her life. The tan girl walked over to another part of the stand, refolding something. Anything, really. Overlooking was easy. Way easier than selling. You had to look... over. The job literally named what it did. Bam. Did not take a buisness major or a Ravenclaw.
And so began the overseeing, which kept her busy at least. Her caramel colored eyes (the light was hitting them at an angle) looked around at everything and everyone, watching the mascots for a minute before looking at anyone who walked past and then watching the clerks, making sure that everyone was doing things correctly. And not her way of correctly, Marial and the ministries vesion of correct. If anything wasnt, they would tell her, right? Or if the tall girl saw anything, she would help. Because ~that~ was Langen's job.
However, being an overseer left a lot of time for minor thoughts that snuck into her head, and one that kept rearing its head was her sister. How dare that woman get a tattoo without her permission? Langen was Cersie's guardian and she was a teenager. And that was apparently the extent of her ambitions. The blonde could do so much more than she let on and ot hurt the oldest Rather's girl to see her sister not living up to them. Not that all tattoo people were inherently bad, but that girl could be part of the ministry or something! It was frustrating to say the least.
