In the middle of the stadium pitch and the practice pitch sits stands for parents to view the camp activities. Parents are welcome to check their child in and pick up their child’s T-shirt and then find a seat to view their children becoming star Quidditch players. There is a concession stand open that has snacks and basic drinks available for purchase. So, parents, sit back and enjoy the two days of your children are being watched by someone other then yourself.
No one will be RPing to check your child in or to run the concession stands. This thread is simply for any parents who are there to watch or converse with their children if needed.

It was hot, sweet Merlin why did it have to be so hot. Victoria was seven and a half months pregnant and she was feeling every bit of it today in the heat. After making her rounds on the pitch to make sure everything was perfect she headed to the seating area. If anyone needed her they knew where she was. She told all the players she'd be around, but really who would miss the big pregnant woman? Now that she was up in the stands, she bought a water and found a seat.
Looking around she smiled as she saw people starting to come in. Bart should be here soon too, he had come earlier to help her set up and then left to get his broom and bat. She watched him play many times, but she was always happy to see him up in the air, so today she was working, but she was also going to be a parent.

With a quick wave and nod towards his nine year old son to join his age bracket, Ryden Reed then moved towards the seating area designated for the parents and guardians of the Youth Quidditch Camp. The heat was nothing to the man, seeing that the weather in London was far better than in bloody Switzerland. What was better was the fact that he was able to snag a long vacation leave from his daily grind at the ICoW, and spend some time with his son.
The former Ravenclaw found an empty spot on the stands, and quickly claimed it as his seat. Nice view and all. The man looked around, saw a pregnant woman and quickly gave her a nod and a smile. “Hello.” Well, it has been a while since he talked to a fellow parent.

Excited as he was for the whole event and to see how it would pan out for their department, Adam was also slightly nervous - his eldest two were out there on the field this weekend, and if they didn't get their way...
Lets just say, Saffron had her mothers beater arm. And Corbin was the definition of a terror.
Of course, the father of far too many had sat the twins down that morning and had words. But whether or not they'd taken any notice was beyond his control. He headed over to the stands, immediately spotting Victoria. "Morning, love. Glowing, as always." Not as glowing as Lorelai, but still. He flashed his friend a huge grin before loosening his tie and taking a seat next to her. "Bart playing today?" He thought, considering the fellow families Quidditch enthusiasm he would be - Adam wasn't the only one there to help out as both a parent and employee that day: if Vic needed any running round doing, that was going to be his job to see that it got done. No need in stressing the pregnant lady out, no... Merlin knew he had enough experience of that.

As Victoria mentally checked off things in her head she noticed more parents joining, giving them all a little wave, she glanced over at the practice pitch to notice her son being there. Good he didn't try to sneak off to his girlfriends or anything. Not that she was too worried, Quidditch to her son was more important then breathing, so she knew he'd be there. As she noticed a man sitting down close by and saying Hello she nodded, "Good morning. Have you found check in and the signs helpful?" She needed to know all of this so that she could tweak the camp in the future if needed.
"Victoria Culloden, Quidditch Division Manager." She extended her hand. It was always good for the public to know who to go to if they had any issues throughout the day. Though she might have been kind of rude without standing up, but showing her huge belly she figured the man would understand. Her eyes went back to the pitch as she watched the younger ones seeming so excited, "They are always a fun age to watch, how old is yours?" Assuming his child was out there in the younger groups.

Her smile grew as one of her closest friends and fellow managers came and sat down next to her. "Adam you are lying through your teeth, but I'll take it. Glowing is not a word for this right now." It was her third pregnancy, fourth child, and as much as she adored this pregnancy most, because of it being so easy, she was ready for it to be done. "Is Lori staying home with the rest of the children?" She was hoping to see the new baby, but it could wait, she'd go over maybe later in the week.
Looking towards the pitch she nodded, "Oh yes, there U17 league coach was fine with them doing this today. Extra practicing and all. Plus he wouldn't miss anything Quidditch related." The boy lived and breathed the sport. "I see your two are ready to play, you aren't too nervous are you?" She chuckled knowing the family long enough to know Adam had to be at least a little nervous. "The professionals will do a great job with them. We have a great group that wanted to help." Though Wade hadn't come, which disappointed her a bit, but he had his own family so she assumed he was busy.

“Good morning, ma’am.” Ryden replied with a grin as he looked around the place. He had been to International Quidditch leagues before, and he had the chance to help with its logistics so he knows a thing or two about organizing such event. Although the said camp was 90% less small than the International ones, the event was very organized for its scale. “I had no trouble whatsoever starting from the registration down to splitting the participants in age groups. The signs were very easy to follow as well.” Ryden commented as he shifted in his seat to face the woman.
The man immediately got up from his seat, reached out, and shook the woman’s hand. Apart from being pregnant, Ryden assumed that she is one of the important people behind the Ministry event. His assumption was confirmed as soon as Victoria introduced herself. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Culloden, I’m Ryden Reed, diplomatic relations officer from I.C.W.” Ryden smiled as he sat beside the pregnant woman and eyed his son fondly as he introduced himself to the other kids. “It is. Even the air is charged with their energy, it’s quite refreshing.” Seeing that his job required a lot of time, concentration, and a vast amount of patience, the camp itself became his little salvation from the endless hours in the office. “My son just turned nine last March.” He said proudly, as he pointed to him for Victoria to see. “...Jacen’s over there, the one with dark brown hair.” Just in time, Jacen saw his father pointing at him, and the little kid waved back. “It’s going to be his first time to fly. He’s a bit apprehensive about it, but is equally curious.” His wife back in Japan did not like the idea, but Ryden was able to convince her that Jace should have an exposure Quidditch. Ryden was very much into giving his youngest son all the possible opportunities in sports, both in the wizarding and muggle realm. “Do you have a son or daughter who is participating as well?” he asked.

No trouble, well brilliant, she was a bit fearful that they might miss something, but it seemed they hadn't. Brilliant! Being one person short with Mercedes enjoying her maternity leave and Mariel needing time for family. She had been putting extra hours in just to get everything right. She was a perfectionist and a workaholic so that did not help. She did appreciate that her husband was staying home with the girls on her long nights. "I'm so glad to hear that."
Diplomatic relations, wow what a very important title. She felt like she was with someone she should keep on the good side with. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well." Shaking his hand before letting it rest on her belly once more. Letting her brown eyes shift to the pitch she saw the boy waving and gave a small wave of her own. "Sweet age, they are just wanting to have fun and play." She remembered her own being that young. "He'll do wonderful, we have some great pro's out there today." She had some great faith in those players.
Looking to the other pitch she smiled, "I do, he's sixteen." She pointed out towards the group. "His name is Bart, he plays for the u17 league so I'm glad they were allowed to participate. He was nice enough to help me set all this up this morning." Not that he had much of a choice, she made sure he came to do it.

Ryden nodded as he continued to watch the scene before him. Though the summer air’s charged with energy and excitement within the confines of the pitch, the sense of safety can also be felt, all thanks to the hardwork and effort made by the Ministry. “Thank you for coming up with this idea, Ms. Victoria. Please extend my congratulations to your team, and to the Honourable Minister.” Surely, they do post-meetings, yes? Ryden looked at the woman, and gave her an appreciative nod. He had witnessed the International Quidditch Association in action before, and he was very thankful not to be assigned in that group. The stress level in that unit was sky high.
Now that introductions are over, Ryden brandished his sunglasses, wore them on, and gazed at his nine year old who was making friends with the kids and his instructors. “Oh yes they do.” The father of two chuckled. “My Jace started playing Kendo at the age of four back in Japan. Since then he won’t stay away from wooden swords and dojos...” Ryden took out his bottle of water and took a sip from it. “He’s obsessed with it, I can tell. It got me worried that he might forget that he’s also part of the wizarding community, that’s why I brought him here.” He had shown magical abilities a few days after Jace turned seven. Exactly how many lights did he break back in the dojo, magically? Ryden lost count. “My first born would go crazy if he’s here right now though. Look at all those pros out there.” He said gesturing again at his son’s group.
Ryden followed Victoria’s gaze, and nodded in understanding as she pointed her son out. “U17. That’s impressive.” He said as he looked at the older kids, as they carried their brooms on their shoulder. “Will we see him play professionally in the future?” he asked with a grin on his face. “If he does, we just might bump into each other again during one of the International Quidditch Leagues.” VIP tickets anyone?

Annie had dropped her son off and then had a bit of business to attend to but NOW SHE WAS BACK. She had his free little t-shirt and had even purchased a drink. One had to stay hydrated when watching sports, of course.
She parked herself in the stands juuuuuuust behind the woman she knew to be the Quidditch division manager, but didn't say a word to her, or to the other parents here. Anastasia Truebridge's son was attending Quidditch camp as a social introduction to other children his age, NOT because he was going to become a Quidditch star. Absolutely not. He was far too intelligent and talented at academic subjects to waste his best years away in a dangerous, ridiculous sport. If anything, the only time her son would be on a broom would be when the Floo network were down or if apparition were not a safe option. In those instances, she supposed he would be allowed to use the basic broom-operating skills he was learning here today. ONLY then.
Right now though, she was half-watching him hover carefully on a broom and half-judging the other parents around her. These people could produce "Quidditch stars" with their big, empty heads and even bigger, emptier paychecks. Her son, though, he would be busy making the wizarding world a better place through SCIENCE or HISTORY or the HUMANITIES or something. Hmmph!

He had her until the minister stuff. Not that she was still having issues with that, but she hadn’t seen the man since the election, nice of him to be around the ministry and all. Though she wasn’t going to comment, she just smiled, [b] “I will, they are a great team to work with.”[/]b She couldn’t be happier where she was. Her best friend as the Department head and her Quidditch group always willing to help out. Plus looking out at the professionals she knew she worked with a great group and extended group minus a certain idiot blonde manager. “We are just very glad to have everyone come out and have some fun.” That’s what it was about really, the kids having fun.
She wasn’t sure what that game was, but figured it was something fun. “Oh goodness, though that is normal for boys. Bart was all into all that boy stuff when he was younger.” Though he seemed to still be into the more dangerous things even now. Glancing back at her son as he went up in the air, she couldn’t help but feel that worry she often had about him. Smiling at his reasoning she glanced at his son, “I think once he becomes aware of Quidditch if he’s like many little boys you won’t have to worry about that.” Most boys seemed to fall right into the sport, not even boys really all kids. “How old is your oldest? “ Maybe he should have come, Victoria half wondered why only bring one. Though she would never question another parents ways.
“I don’t know, maybe. That’s what he’s hoping, but without Quidditch at the school it makes it harder to train, keep active, and get scouts to fully see your abilities. We’ve been doing tryouts for youth during the summer, but that still doesn’t give the best of their talents.” He wanted to play in Australia was the other piece, but that was something she was hoping had changed since he had gotten older. “Yes we just might.” She smiled thinking about her son playing professional one day, she would love to see his dream come true.
Sensing someone sitting behind her, the blonde slowly turned her big pregnancy belly and herself to see who had joined them. Oh it was her husband’s boss and her son’s headmistress. Giving her a smile she pushed some blonde hair behind her ear. “Hello Headmistress, how are you today?” Cossy called her Annie, but Victoria wasn’t comfortable with that just yet, maybe once her son wasn’t in school anymore, but for now she would just stay headmistress. “Do you have a child playing today?” Or was she one of those special educators that liked to come to her students events. That would be very sweet of her if she did.

Not wanting to miss Hazel's broom debut for the world - and because working from home provided him with flexible work hours - Gabriel made his way over towards and empty space among the seating. He opted out of buying anything for the moment, however, as he had packed a few things for himself and a snack for Hazel once she finished camp.
Sliding into his seat, he readied the camera that hung around his neck and began focusing the manual zoom on its massive lens. So far, it looked as though the kids were just getting to know one another with a few selecting their brooms. Still, it was all groundbreaking for his daughter and thus the almost rhythmic sound of the shutter opening and closing began.
He was aware of the other parents present, but forgive him for not exactly being terribly social at the moment. He felt an immense sense of pressure to capture all the important candid moments on film so he could bring them home to Tibs, who was back handling things at the sanctuary and their infant son. Then Hazel could narrator the entire story for the both of them...and it could be like everyone had been there to cheer her on.

Oh the Quidditch woman was speaking to her... fine fine. Anastasia tilted her head politely at her, noticed her bulging, pregnant belly... and then finally remembered that she was Cosgrach's wife.
Ahhhhhhhh.
"Yes, I do have a flyer out there." She tilted her head toward the pitch. "My son, Davie, is learning how to fly today." She blinked as she heard a sudden tick-tick-ticking sound. Or was it a clicking? Annie swiveled her head around and swore loudly under her breath. "Who invited the press?" She remarked LOUDLY.

Refocusing the camera once more, this time to get a close up of Hazel's face, the author nearly missed the words that were all but shouted a few seats away from him. Thankfully, his focus and attention to detail helped him maintain a steady hand and get the shot he wanted.
"Oh, pardon," he replied with a slight bow of the head as the French rolled off tongue. "But I am not zee press." He was, perhaps, a bit flattered that the woman had assumed as much, however. "Just taking pictures of my daughter. She iz zee one over zere. With zee curly red 'air."
He, being much more in the know about the comings and goings of Great Britain these days, of course recognized the woman. It was hard not to with such luxurious red locks like the ones she possessed.

Looking back to Annie, she glanced towards the pitch, “Well that’s wonderful. I bet he will have loads of fun. How old is he?” She tried to figure out which one he was, but there were so many kids out there. The thirty eight year old wasn’t able to pick the Stemp twins out let alone one she didn’t know. “I hope you are having a good summer.” They would be back at school soon and she was so dreading that. With the new baby coming she hated seeing Cossy go back this year, well she hated it every year, but this one was even more. Though she knew they’d get through it like they always did. One baby was certainly going to be easier after having twins.
Seeing a dad with a camera, Victoria smiled. She would have loved to bring one as well, but Bart would probably have gotten an attitude. The down fall to a teenager. Though she had some great shots of him from the season, so a little camp wasn’t that big of a deal to have pictures of him, but these little ones were adorable. She hoped the press was here getting it. Hearing the headmistress’s words she couldn’t help but frown thinking of Mariel and where she was right now. “The press usually does come to put things in their sport section. We usually have the same person do all are events, but he’s unavailable today. I’m not sure they sent anyone else though.” Not that she directly asked, but Victoria had answered before really thinking about if it was a real question or not.
Giving the man a smile as he talked to Annie she glanced over towards where he pointed, “She seems to be having fun. “ That’s what Victoria wanted to see, the kids having fun. Though the older ones she was hoping weren’t being too much trouble. Teenagers could be a hard group to work with. She let her brown eyes watch them for a bit. She’d be after Bart if he gave them any static.
