Dianna pointed at the red seats and table where she came from.
"I think there was an empty seat there beside that girl, I forgot who."

"Yeah it is, isn't it?" Gavin mused in agreement with a nod. "But I assure you it wont take long before it feels like its no big deal. Annnd I do know where the Office of Misinformation is as I'm the same division.," he assured her with a smile.
"Gavin McNally, senior reminscator," he introduced, "and our work area is the blue stations right up front here," the thirty-something finished, pointing out the correct workstations for her to know exactly where to go.
Jade smiled back, "Well, it does feel a little overwhelming. I'm Jade Gemstone btw, one of the new Memory Restoration assistants. I'm really pleased to meet you. I really admire the work of the reminscators."
She look in the direction that Gavin pointed to see the blue coded desks and chairs. It was nice to see that each area had a different color. It definitely made it easier for the newcomers like Jade.
"If it is not a really bother, Mr. McNally--I was wondering if you knew who is my boss?" She pointed to a piece of parchment in her hand, "All it said was my position and the division. Nothing about who I report to."
Landon was glad that Neria was in her comfort zone and not the type who would take her time to warm up to the environment. Very quick as he always was, the twenty two year old decided he liked her - yep.
When another new girl arrived, Landon put up his best smile yet again. "Hello Rachel, I am Landon. You would be working with us," he told her - not failing to notice that this girl was not like Neria. Shy, yeah. Well there was one in every department. Nevertheless, gentleman as he was - he would not back away from welcoming her.
He didn't say much when the two girls started to chat up. That was until Neria started joking around. His brow rose when she started mocking the 'paperwork'. Oh really now? Noticing her immediate reaction to her own mocking, Landon couldn't help but keep up the charade of judging her. Like he had minded what she had said.
But a grin soon broke through, seeing her defensive style and awkward expression. "It would be fun working with you, Miss Neria." he said, chuckling softly. "With both of you," he added, turning to look at Rachel as well.
Thank Merlin. It didn't seem as though Landon got offended about what she had blatantly said. Pixxi scowled at Landon when he called her Miss. Neria had almost gotten the feeling that he was flirting with her. She felt a blush creep up her neck again, so she turned away from Rachel and Landon and started fiddling with some papers on her new desk. 'Boyfriend. You have a boyfriend. Landon is a colleague.' she thought to herself. She closed her eyes and calmed herself again.
"Are we expecting anyone else?" she asked Landon, still with her back turned. She picked up the scroll with instructions on how to get into the Ministry and information about her colleagues. She ran her finger down the scroll and turned around, "It seems like we're missing a Mr. Roland Baims," she said before looking back up at Landon with a serious expression. "Were you the only one working in this division before the Ministry hired us, Landon?"
"Yeah, I'm new here aswell," Neria said while shaking Rachel's hand. "Landon here just told me a bit about what we're currently working on," She leaned in closer as if to tell Rachel a secret. "Paperwork. Exciting, huh?" Neria grinned towards the girl, but gave Landon a quick and horrified look. Had she insulted him by mocking the fact that they were just doing paperwork? She hurriedly held up her hands in a defencive way towards Landon, "Oh, I didn't mean it like that! I am actually very excited to start this job." Now it sounded as though she was mocking the Ministry and the way they ran this department. Neria hadn't felt this awkward in a long time...
Paperwork?! She let out a small groan at this. "Very exciting..." she grinned, but stopped as she saw how worried Neria had got from saying that. "Well paperwork could be exciting. There is always the danger of a papercut." She wasn't a big fan of paperwork if you coudn't tell. She laughed a bit then turned to both of them. "Seriously though, I am excited to be working here. And in this department especially!" Accidents and Catastrophes really sounded like her!

She stayed scilent as Neria and Landon spoke. She probably came across as shy, which was the last thing she wanted. She coudn't help her nerves.
Aw, that was sweet! "I look forward to working with you too aswell!" Even if it was just paperwork.
She watched Neria at her desk and looked to the one next to her. "So can I just grab an empty desk?" she asked, walking over to one. She didn't really have anything to put on it but if her bag was on it, it was hers!
Gavin would happily do both but it wasn't entirely so easy to do so at the current time. "Well if by boss you mean department head, I can't seeing as our past one needed to step down and no new one has been appointed yet," he answered, giving the information on Iridesca first.
"As for desk, I'd need to know your division first since the work areas are broken up."
Blake looked at him, "There's no department head?" her eyebrow raised at the question. "How odd." she remarked.
She nodded, "I'm on the Potion Spills and Contamination Response team." she told him looking around the office at the desks and the confusion.

He stayed quite when she turned and got more stuff settled. The pause making him realize how much he needed something to drink. And a quick bite too as a matter of fact.
He would have left without any announcement if Neria hadn't spoken again. Roland Baims? Landon wasn't sure if he had heard that name before - he hadn't even gotten a memo that such a person was arriving. "Maybe he is running late." Landon shrugged before shaking his head at her next question. "No. I was not alone. You guys are an addition, yep" he said, eying her stuff. "Do want any help with that?

She was still living the best years of her life...Hogwarts didn't end her happiness or anything. "I assume you did...?" assumptions weren't always a good thing, but since the other woman had asked, she assumed that Zora had went there. Hmm. Kammy wondered if they had known each other.
Zora smiled."Of course I did and besides I have just graduated. Hogwarts was the best school ever!"she replied happily.
Hogwarts brought her lots of happy memories indeed. Whenever anyone else asked about her school life, she would be extremely excited. She was glad that she had a chance to work here however on the other hand she was sad that she had to leave from her be-loved school. "So which houses were you in?"Zora asked.

Kammy felt a little pinch of pride at the mention of her house...Kammy was a proud Ravenclaw. "Ravenclaw. Ah....I miss all my peers. They were quite...interesting, to say the least. What about you?" she asked curiously. fidgeting in her chair.

She grinned."Because of my passion and bravery, Gryffindor of course!"she raised her voice a bit and continued,"yea...I miss all my schoolmates. Bradley sat at his desk, a little bored, looking around himself at all the people who had suddenly turned up. He didn't join in as he really didn't know any of them and wasn't the type to just go up to someone often. No instead he sat there and watched everyone mingle, his work sitting in front of him on the desk.

Beware.
Gavin watched as Landon caught his name being called and identified himself to his new collegue. "You're welcome," he said to Rachel as she thanked him. He once more tried to return to his desk and was nearly there when a woman entered the office area.
Looks like we got a mad rush of new employees...
Taking a deep breath, Gavin came up to her, noticing the look and behavior she had taken on and inconsciously slipping into the behavior he had held when division head. "Yes...may I help you?" he questioned simply still welcoming but with a slight air of authority.
Natasha sniffed haughtily as a tall man with short dark hair approached her.
And about time too.
But the man looked busy, so perhaps she'd forgive him this once. But he'd soon learn to sort out his priorities.
She lifted the corners of her mouth in a way that vaguely resembled a smile and proffered a hand. 'Natasha Montgorse-Ayre, Memory Analyst for the office of MisInformation.' She paused awkwardly before elaborating: 'I'm new here and I need to be shown where to go.' She squirmed uncomfortably - she didn't enjoy feeling not in complete control of a situation.

Imogine had not heard from either of the other Accidental Magical Reversal Agents, maybe they were running late, or maybe the new people were instructed to come first and the older employees were comming later. Either way, Imogine left to go get some water from the breakroom.

Ah, a Gryffie. A lion. Kammy smiled. "At school I seemed to get along the best of all the other houses with Gryffindors! That's pretty cool, though."
Kammy rather thought that Zora was right...they should be excited about starting this new chapter in their life. "I know, I am just so so lucky to be given this opportunity to work here. What made you want to jump straight from school to working here?" she asked curiously, because she remembered that when she was that age she did NOT want to have such a serious job quite yet. Even with being a hard-working Ravenclaw, she just didn't think she could have handled it.

The girl seemed so different than herself, but she was still a colleague and Neria was determined to make the best of it. "Hey, Rachel. Do you wanna go out for a bite?" she said while stretching her neck to see her better. "Maybe Landon will accompany us to a nice little pub where we all can get to know eachother better?" she looked at Landon and gave him a very convincing smile. "If Mr. Baims turns up, I'm sure Mr. McNally will give him further instructions." she added, even though she was a bit concerned about the new colleague that hadn't showed up yet.

Rachel had just put her jacket on the back of her chair when Neria spoke again. She really was a sweet girl. "Um, sure..." she said checking her watch. "I don't know the area very well though, so you better know somewhere good!" She felt silly saying that, but she'd only just moved to London, so it wasn't her fault. She smiled at her colleague. It would be nice to get to know them a little better.

He was senior in the division he believed but he wasn't sure he was titled boss.
"That would likely be the new department head since there arent division heads anymore," he commented, too late remembering the last time he had commented on that it wound up causing a long discussion on why. Hopefully that wouldn't be the case this time. "Unfortunately she hasn't made her appearance yet."

"Not at the moment," Gavin answered truthfully. "I do believe one was been picked but so far they have not made an appearance as far as I know." And he would know...he did believe he was the most informed having access to the paperwork that flittered between the departments.
He nodded as she gave him her position, the answer clueing him into what division she was to be in. "That would be the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad which works at the red desks, over there in the middle of the office," he informed her with a polite smile, pointing to the correct area. "Feel free to pick an unclaimed desk and get settled. I'm sure your collegues will help you with any questions you may have."

"We work here..." he stated guiding her to the blue desks near the door. "Feel free to pick an unclaimed desk and get settled and I'll try to answer any other questions you may have," he added moving to head to his own desk.

McNally? Natasha didn't recognise the name. He's not pureblood and yet he's managed to become a senior reminiscator? Ah, things at the Ministry are worse than I'd feared...
She couldn't honestly say that it was nice to meet him, so she said nothing as Gavin led her to a group of blue desks near the door. She didn't feel comfortable knowing that not all of the people she was working with were purebloods, but then she was used to that as there were many suchlike in her Hogwarts house. If only she'd been in Slytherin...
Natasha snapped out of her reverie and sat down at the desk furthest away from anyone else. What did he mean when he said 'Get settled'? Hopefully this would not entail having to 'get to know' people...

Jade smiled at Gavin. "Well, I definitely picked a great time to transfer from South Africa then." She said with a laugh. "I'm sure that once things settle down, things will become much more clearer. Thanks for clarifying it though-- it was a bit puzzling just to get a piece of paper with no info. Although I hope that we'll get to work together in the future."
She shook Gavin's hand and started to turn to head over to find an empty desk but she stopped and turned back to Gavin saying "Oh, it's a small thing really but my name isn't Jane it is Ja-ade. It can get confusing I know--I find that people here keep on mistaking my name for Jane." She laughed, "I guess that Jade is just too unique."
She turned and headed towards an empty desk in the empty section.

The reminiscator wasn't quite sure what to make of the woman, but seeing as nothing appeared outwardly wrong, Gavin left the silence be. And his fellow employee be in the same manner. His gaze was away as Natasha snapped her attention back to him so he remained unaware, the man deciding to focus once more on his normal duties.

Gavin smiled as he listened to her comment, glad to "Most likely," he agreed with a nod. He returned the handshake and let her be as she moved to claim a desk for herself. His face fell slightly as she pointed out the mistake he had made on her name.
"Jade...sorry," he appologized for the mix-up and correcting himself, making a mental note of the name to avoid it later. "That's what I meant to say just slipped up," he added truthfully in his own defense, it was just proof he'd been handling a lot of newbies lately. Keeping everything straight would be a task.

OK, Natasha was actually getting kind of bored now. She'd been siting at her desk for, what, four minutes? Already her fingers were itching to start casting spells all over the place. She looked over at the other people nearby.
Well, this is it. Time to 'socialise', she thought to herself.
Glancing over at two women holding a conversation, she sidled over to them to introduce herself. As she neared them, she realised that they were talking about their Hogwarts houses.
'Natasha Montgorse-Ayre, Memory Analyst,' she said by way of greeting. Hmm... not the most informal of greetings. This really isn't my thing... She took a deep breath and visibly relaxed. 'Um, I was a Gryff too... But that was six years back - it seems like a long time ago now.
Jade turned back to look at Gavin and smiled reassuringly. "It's okay. I guess that besides the shake-up with the department head, you've been dealing with the incoming of the new employees, am I right? Getting my name wrong is a tiny mistake considering all the chaos. I just wanted to point it out before calling me 'Jane' became a habit."
She turned to head over to a empty blue desk to put away her things and get started working.

Kammy had seen out of the corner of her eye that another woman was approaching them. Hmm, must be everyone's first day, eh?
"Why hello there, Natasha. I'm Kammy, Kammy Patricia. And this is Zora," she replied politely back, gesturing to first her and then to Zora.
"Memory analyst? How legit," she commented, using lingo that she had picked up from her cousin's American friends. They said the not-really-a-word word all the time! "What exactly is that, might I ask?" She was genuinely curious. It sounded very hard...
Another Lion! Yay! "Oh, cool...I was an eagle," she replied with a smile. Six years ago..so she would be around...24? perhaps? Kammy wasn't that great at math! Even simple adding!

Natasha was relieved - they seemed friendly enough.
'Nice to meet you,' she replied. Patricia? The name rings a bell... She gave a curt nod in the direction of Zora.
She wasn't quite sure what the word 'legit' meant exactly, but she chose not to express this apparent ignorance. 'It means I have to assess memory modifications, make sure they've been performed correctly, that kind of thing,' she said. 'Downside is, I'm on call and could be having to work at any time of the day - or even the night.'
Hopefully the pay's better then.
Ah, so Kammy was a Ravenclaw during her time at Hogwarts? 'My second favourite house,' Natasha said. Of course, they would assume that her favourite house was Gryffindor...
Natasha paused and took another look at Kammy. She was quite tall, with long, blonde hair and looked about the same age as herself - twenty-three. Hopefully she'd be a hard-worker, what with her being a Ravenclaw and everything. She paused again, before speaking again. 'Are you pureblood, then? I seem to recognise your surname...'
