Emerald Skye noticed another employee walking into the room. Boy, it sure is getting pretty crowded here!

"Hi," said Emmy eagerly. "I'm Emerald Skye, I'm new here." She added casually and holding out her hand. "Are you new or have you worked here for sometime?" Emerald was curious to know about people. It's always important to know as much employee as possible. It'll make work here easier and more fun. She doesn't want to work in a place without knowing half of the workers.

Boy, another employee. Time to greet new people!

Emmy waved at the worker that just walked in. "Good morning!" Duh. "I'm Emerald Skye..." Duh. The same greeting over and over again. "and I'm new here." What else...what else?? "Are you new too?" Blah! Not too good.

Emerald is desperate to greet new people. And it seems she's a little too desperate.

"Ahhh." said Emerald awkwardly.

"So what's your job in this department?" Emmy changed the subject quickly. It's not exactly normal talking about other people's girlfriend is it?

Charlotte turned to face the next person to come in to the room. "It's a pleasure to meet you Nils," she said. "And call me Charlotte please." She hated being called Miss Reynolds. She preferred to stick with Charlotte, or one of her many nicknames. "Looks like we'll be working together; I'm a Task Force Agent too. I am also new."

"Pleasure to meet you Gavin," Charlotte said. She never called people Mister or Miss; she thought it was weird. Hopefully he wouldn't get offended or anything. "Well, then, Gavin, I hope us newbies live up to your expectations."

Iridesca too a deep breath and then opened the door from her office and walked out into the open area. She was so happy to see that everyone was already starting to get to know each other. This made her usual smile even wider.

She walked out into the big room with her smile and with a flick of her wand towards her throat, her voice was magnified a little bit....not too loud, but just a little bit.

"Hello everyone! And welcome to The Magical Accidents and Catastrophes Level Three! I'm so excited to finally see everyone's faces and to get started on things. I'm still waiting to hear an update from the field from a few of our employees that are out there working with various breaches. While we wait, feel free to visit the Conference Room. I have set up some fruit and vegetable trays with some different types of drinks for us all to enjoy and get to know each other a little bit better." She took her wand off her throat and then walked through the area smiling and noding her head at everyone.

"Thanks...I've always thought so," Gaven absently mused having not expected that type of answer. He nodded simply to the younger man's words as he listened.

He could sense a feeling of let down or at least awkwardness to his revelation, Gavin doing his best to brush it aside. "I'm a reminiscator...I implant the new memories when we have to modify someone's," he explained though he could have sworn he had said something to her before.

"I'm sure you will," Gavin said looking at both charms officials now. "If you ever have a question, feel free to ask. I do remember what it was like first starting out," he offered, the words holding some truth to them...noth times he had started.


Gavin hadn't noticed the head's office door opening at first, though as Iridesca walked further into the room, Gavin had noticed and turned his attention to her as she spoke. The former Gryffindor listened to her words, nodding in understanding and after putting the last finishing touches on his desk finally stood up again.

"Shall we?" he asked speaking to no one in particular but looking to Frida beside him before heading towards the location indicated. She was his closest friend still in the department and he had headed out of the flat without much to start with since Ryan had been being a pain.

Remins...?

Daphne's blond brows knitted together in deep thought. The title sounded familiar but the sole Hopton daughter could have sworn it sounded a little different back then when she first heard of it. Still, the girl imparted a polite smile towards the Gavin McNally. "Mister McNally," she managed to utter before there were more voices filling the area. The open floor plan seemed like a good idea, Daphne was sure, however, she could easily come up with reasons why she already disliked it. There was barely any privacy. "Uh," she started, aware of someone else addressing her--a Sky or something. That was an interesting name. Then again, there had been a trend about a thousand years ago to name their children after Celestial bodies. Daphne wasn't all too bothered by the uniqueness of her coworker's name.

The introductions didn't go any further. Their presence was required in the conference room. Daphne concluded the loud witch was the one in charge of the Department--in other words her boss. The blond gave her clothes a brief look over, just to make sure there wasn't a strand of hair clinging to her pencil skirt, or an unsightly stain of an unknown substance or the other on her blouse or blazer. Once she felt sure she at least looked presentable, Daphne followed the more confident employees. They seemed like they knew the place so an easy way to learn the layout of the place was to keep close to them.

Ow. That was expected! And very, very loud! Emerald smiled at that announcement. It sounded a bit like a party! Emmy smiled to herself. There's nothing better on the first day of work than PARTY!

"Oh!" Emerald said distracted from the announcement, then she got to her sense again. "Oh! That's nice." Uhhh... "I'm an obliviator, or did I already told you that?" Not good. Come on...something else... "Umm...hey! Have you ever tried Muggle soda?" This is an actual question that Emmy wants answered!

Alex walked into the work area, with a box in her arms. It was hard to be the new person sometimes. She walked quietly to her desk and took out her two picture frames. One showed a picture of her best friend. Another showed a picture of her brother, who is one of her best friends. She put everything on her desk, sat dow, and sighed. She was homesick.

Gavin stepped into the office and had returned to his desk as another day dawned, his cloak folded over his arms thankful devoid of any snow anymore in his trek up to the department. Next time he had to find a better place to apparate from to avoid prolonged exposure to the elements now that winter was upon them. Hanging it up behind him, the reminiscator took a seat at his workstation, pulling at a file or two to go over as he awaited any news of another assignment.

Special Memo from Iridesca:

A group of butterfly shaped papers flutter into the Work Area Cubicles. Each one is addressed with a different name an seems to be on a mission. The blue colored pieces of paper flutter around and then land on the different desks all at once. When opened, there is an announcement inside from the Department Head:

Gavin looked up from his work as he spotted a butterfly shaped piece of paper fluttered onto the desk in front of him. It was only then that he noticed the whole bunch of nearly identical notices flying and landing on all the desk in the room. The reminiscator couldn't help but raise a curious eyebrow as he put down his quill and picked it up, his hands opening up the folded note so he could read its contents.

Liason? With the Minister's office?

It certainly sounded like an interesting and worthwhile opportunity. And he had the necessary requirements both in grades and the people skills that his collegues and friends agreed with. Besides being one of the long standing employees in the department he did know all about what they did and what went on. Not to mention it was a promotion of sorts AND would allow him more reasons to be up near a certain someone. Gavin decided to give it a try and made plans to stop by the department head's office when he had free time since he was in the middle of something.

Hayley walked into the Accidents & Catastrophes work area. "Oops!" the redhead thought as she walked to the green area she was assigned to. "I'm a little late. I hope I don't get fired on my first day. But there was traffic in the muggle world and the elevators were all full so I had to wait sometimes... Gosh. Today is not my day. Oh look! A butterfly paper thing-y!" When she sat down at her desk, she opened the butterfly paper and read over what it said. "I don't think I'll go for that job," Hayley said to herself. "I mean, I just got this job and I'm really happy with it."

After an hour of working, Hayley decided to take a little break, since she got nearly half of her morning work. "I do need to meet the other workers in my work area," she thought. "Hello there," she said to the worker in the cubicle next to her. "How are you on this lovely morning?"

Gavin looked back up as he caught a hello from someone, spotting a new face of a recent hire. "Hello," he said returning the greeting with a polite smile, setting down his quill and leaning back slightly in his chair. Sometimes it was nice to have a little diversion for a few minutes. "I am well...and yourself?" the reminscator added turning the question back on her to return the favor as was only right.He wasn't about to be rude.

"I'm great!" Hayley said her co-worker. "I'm dumb. I forgot to tell you my name. Well, it's Hayley Topps. What's yours?"

"Quite alright," Gavin reassured her when she realised her oversight. He was sure she would have gotten to it eventually and there wasn't any rush. "Nice to meet you Miss Haley Topps. The name is Gavin McNally," he supplied trying to decide what to say next. "Um..settling in alright?"

"Gavin... That's a really nice name," Hayley said while playing with her necklace. "I'm settling in just fine! I still need to bring some stuff to have on my desk." She then made a mental note to remember to bring in a few pictures of her friends and nieces and nephew.

Skye was dressed in a midnight blue dress just above the knee with Mary Janes and a black trench coat, carrying a brown satchel with all her things. She smiled broadly, and walked to her desk. She sat, running her fingers along the edge of it, her blonde hair swept back in to a French plait. The navy glimmering eyeshadow brought out the blue flecks in her brown eyes. She was taking out her things, when a note fluttered on to her desk in the shape of a butterfly. She read through it, and raised her eyebrows. Liason? Hmmm... She thought, twiddling her sapphire ring with her finger, thinking about it.

Gavin couldn't help chuckle at the comment but not at all at the woman for he wasn't rude and didn't find her foolish...rather amusing. "Thanks...I've always liked it, and my fiance does too."

Fiance...now that still took getting used to, he mused with a smile.

Opening the door to the room Bradley walked in and looked around, his first day, new job. He was a little nervous, but he knew he had to just get stuck in. Biting his bottom lip he continued to look around wondering what he should do.

Hearing the door open, a plus or downfall of being in the area right by said door, GAvin looked over to see who had entered. It didn't take much to see the man standing there was a little lost and the reminiscator got up to his feet to help remedy that.

"Hi there," he greeted with a polite smile as he walked closer. "Are you a new employee or looking for someone?" he asked trying to gauge what was up to see if he could help.

Bradley looked over at the man that had greeted him and looked him up and down, not in a bad way. He smiled slightly, "Hello, I'm new starting today i believe" He told the guy holding his hand out for it to be shoken. That was the custom here right? was where he was from. Maybe it was different around here. He went to pull his hand away but decided to keep it there, see what happened.

While he waited for the other guy to answer he looked around him at the desks and the other people who might be his friend one day, and well the room itself. Which he felt was rather home-y if that was word. Looking back to the guy before him he added, "I'm Bradley Wills."

"Well then welcome," Gavin said taking the man's tentatively offered hand and giving it a shake before letting it go as he listened to the younger man continue. One step down in getting introductions...now for placement help. "Nice to meet you, Bradley. I'm Gavin McNally of the obliviator division. Do you know which division you were placed into?"

Now he was confused, Division? What? "Division?" He quoted, um..."No sorry..." Now he felt he was doing something wrong, like he should know and then suddenly fit into that group of people and get to work. Um...

"I'm sorry.." Now out comes shy Brad, he thought as he dropped his hand.

Ah...a light bulb seemed to go off in his mind as to part of the confusion when Bradley was concerned. "No no. No need to be sorry," Gavin said summoning a file from his desk. There had to have been after all a reason they had been given an employee list that updated itself. "Just have to take a look..." he mused quickly scanning through the list before finally coming to the man's name under his old division, his eyes brightening slightly.

"Ah...it seems you're in my old division, Experimental Charms," Gavin informed the man, motioning for him to follow him as he walked towards the purple cubicles. "That would be here," he added with a smile.

Bradley nodded when he was told his division, he should have known that. Now he had made a bad inpression of the man. Sigh. He smiled at the guy - whom he didn't really know - and followed him towards the desks which would be his for a while. Stopping at the tables he turned to the man and thanked him.

"So this is your old division? so you know a lot about it?" He asked making conversation. Brad looked over the desks and over at the other people he would be working with, they seemed nice enough and he was already looking forward to working with them.

"You're getting married?" Hayley asked Gavin. "You're like, what, 22 or something?" He looks so young...
