The same. Huh. While he was a man that believed in coincidence, there was a limit to just how much he was willing to accept...and this was certainly not one of those times. But at least the matter had been fixed and there were no more fires in the area.
"Looking forward to it," he said with a quick wave back to MLE Head. He reports were always very detailed, so it should only take him the afternoon and good part of the evening to get through. Hopefully his son's sitter wouldn't mind him being a few hours later than expected.....
"Alright, I'm going to move the plants that survived into my office," he told the remaining two employees. "If you both have a moment to spare I wouldn't mind the assistance."
But he wasn't really waiting for a response because he had things to do, so he picked up one of the planters and made his way towards his office before anything else bad could happen.

João had only climbed down two floors, but his cheeks were red with excitement. He had never actually stepped inside this floor, so he had slowed down to look around. There wasn't much time to lose, though, so only after half a minute's examination later, he was by the reception.
"Excuse me," he addressed to the receptionist there, "I'm João Neves, the personal assistant of minister," it was obvious he ENJOYED the title and expected everyone to respect that, "and I want to report a malfunctioning cabinet and request help."

Aron just happen to be nearby taking a few scorched soil samples to examine in the privacy of his own home since the equipment in the lab was less than reliable at the moment, so he heard the young man's request and quickly tucked the vial into his jean pocket and strut over to the desk. He flashed his receptionist a quick wink that meant 'I've got this' and then turned to the personal assistant.
Although he felt this was more something that Maintenance could handle, he wouldn't put it past the Ministry's current conditions for this to require more than just a quick fix. "Aron Ashburry-Hawthorne, Department Head," he said as he offered his hand for a quick shake. Although he assumed Neves already knew that. "Before I go down and take a look at it...could you describe more what exactly these malfunctions are?" He was already drowning in problems. Needed to make sure this one was worth his time.

Seemed pretty standard and something that any one of his employees could handle, but he needed to head over to the Minister's Office anyway to deliver a report. He preferred to do these personally, especially given how wonky everything had been around here recently.
Not to mention everyone else was all over the place making repairs. Busy time. Buuuuuuuuuuusy time.
"Should be a quick fix," he nodded as he took a confident step towards the stairs. "Worst case will be to remove all the enchantments on it and you'll have to sort things manually." Merlin was he glad that the cabinets on his level hadn't gone turbo. Although he take manually organizing paperwork over fires that destroyed his babies any day.
"Alright, let's go."

"Alright, let's go." Oh? João smiled again and it was a much friendly one this time--but it was short lived, because the next moment Mr. Ashburry-Hawthorne was saying they MIGHT fix it manually, and his heart spasmed. He didn't even try to keep his smile, but replaced it with a frown.
"Of course," he said and avoided unnecessary talk. In any case, he could hope until the man saw it, so he turned around and headed towards the stairs. He didn't trust anything here. Mr. Ashburry-Hawthorne could take the lifts if he wished, but not this Brazilian and Assistant of the Minister. | |
