... Okay, could she leave now? Poppy rolled her eyes and rested her hands on her hips. She needed the entire mirror to apply makeup. She liked looking at all of herself. This puking woman was ruining her makeup routine. She hadn't even finished applying it and her next makeup routine was in twenty-four minutes. Oh, Merlin. Helena smiled at the woman as she also moved out of the way for her, rolling her eyes as the older lady moved all of her things. It's not like Helena was going to vomit all over her make up. She really did feel much better once the water had hit her face, though.
Deciding that she looked fine without any make up on, she figured that Ryan wouldn't mind seeing her look a little ill. Better to look ill than covered in make up. Helena turned away from the sink, to find the elderly woman looking at her with her hands on her hips.
Oh. Well then... "I'm sorry... am I in your way?" The blonde offered her a bittersweet smile. "Well I'll not bother you any more.... Though, I think these might be of some use to you." Helena opened her bag and took out a packet of make up remover wipes. Honestly that lady had far too much make up on for her own good... How could she even see past her makeup?! |

The cold outside are starting to make my lips chap.' "Oh Minister's Office. How's that going for you?"she asked with sudden sympathy having to work in close proximity to Borr.
Annabeth looked at Dacs, "No, I just heard about everybody coming to fix their make-p, and i don't really know a lot of people yet, so i thought that i would come and say hi! Also i kind of needed the loo." she told her, she never carried around any make-up, and nor did she want to, she was not a really girly girl. Quote:

Did she not see her tag-- Okay, so her tag had been lost. Still! Poppy smiled at her. "You ought to do something about that forehead of yours. It's big enough for a Quidditch match." Poppy said patting the woman's back, then giggled. Annabeth smiled, "Nice to meet you Poppy," she said, Annabeth looked quizzingly at her at her remark, how was her forehead big?!

Merlin's Beard! Did the woman have no boundaries whatsoever? 'H... hello,' she muttered, detatching herself firmly from the woman's grip. Now her clothes were all crinkled. Great. 'All wrong? I can assure you, Ms. Pricklepot, that I am not doing my makeup wrong. If anyone is doing makeup wrong, it would be you,' the blonde said coldly, turning back to the mirror and applying a thin coat of mascara. If this was the kind of person they were hiring now... *shudder* Once she was satisfied, she turned around... and was seized once again by the dastardly woman. Was there no end to this torture?! And no an orange lipstick was going to be forced upon her! 'Orange... washes me out,' she managed to mutter before Poppy grabbed hold of her chin. Bloody stupid woman. Oh, look who was trying to act like she knew about makeup. "Meh meh meh washes me out!" Poppy repeated Lizzie mockingly, with a strangely high pitched voice, while bobbing her head. She firmly grabbed her by the chin and told her to pucker up before applying the orange lipstick. She would be the one to end up looking like a clown with orange lipstick smeared all over her face, so she should just stay still and let Poppy beautify her. When she was done she turned her face to the mirror and clapped her hands. "You look divine!" She said giggling. She would find a boyfriend in no time with those neon orange lips. Poppy was proud of her work. She would enlarge her eyelashes and add some yellow eyeshadow but she didn't want Lizzie to look that beautiful. She didn't want any competition! Quote:

I will be here whenever you need help covering that face of yours." She said as she waved goodbye. Hopefully she could have a whole team of Aurors to protect her from that dark and dangerous witch! She was obviously jealous of Poppy's beauty and wanted to kill her. Obviously. Quote:

"No, no, you're good, dear." Poppy said hiding behind Lizzie. She looked too fabulous to be puked on. Lizzie, on the other hand, no one would be able to tell the difference. It didn't seem like she was going to get sick anymore, though, which was good since Poppy was part of the Maintenance Department and probably have to clean up after her. Gross! She better no throw up. Pricklepot then looked down at the woman's hand. What was she offering her? She picked it up and read the package. Make up remover wipes? These things exist? Poppy looked at the woman and raised an eyebrow. Who would ever want to remove makeup? What would be the point in even putting it on if you were going to remove it. "Aren't you a thoughtful little thing?" Poppy said covering her mouth and she giggled, after tossing the wipes in the garbage. Quote:

Poppy flipped her little white curls. She should consider herself and her forehead lucky enough to be in the presence of such a fabulous witch. But anyway, it was time to help the needy. "I know just the trick to make that forehead of yours actually look normal. All you need to do is apply some hair growing paste on it overnight." Of course, the hair would cover all that empty and vast space. Or she could entirely fix her skull, but that would be painful. Oh well, beauty was pain after all. |

| No Damien didn't have to go potty, he was just looking for somewhere to hide and clear his head. The loo seemed like the best place for it. Heh.
Strolling into the men's room he glanced around and when he was sure there was no one in there he pulled his wand, conjured a comfy armchair and plopped down. Yes, the armchair matched the decor and it was right inside one of the changing rooms. It was PERFECT. He stretched his legs out so that his feet were visible and he leaned his head back and sighed heavily. What was he getting his family into? |

He hadn't a clue where Damien had been heading until they neared the men's facilities. Then it was all slowing down and hesitation. Maybe Damien hadn't meant right, right away. And if the South end of Diagon hadn't been mentioned, he would have waited across the hall.
As it was, concern ruled over logic and with a small knock to the door, Sabel slipped inside. "....Damien?"

"I just wanted to know if you had a proper place to stay now, Sabel. I -- I just wondered if you were on your feet yet?" He had a tight look about his eyes that indicated he was both tired and stressed to the gills. |

Despite everything, it brought a faint smile to his lips. "I....that's a good question."
Tucking his hands in his pockets, he wandered over to the change room Damien had scuffled into and nudged the door leaning shut with his shoulder. He made the decision to close the door fully once Damien's next question came up. He could already feel his stomach twisting about. "I....am looking into getting a place with an old friend." His hands dug deeper into his pockets, eyes watching Damien from under his brow. "But given your tone and attitude, I'm starting to debate the wisety of that and the streets are sounding much safer. What's going on, Damien?"

I have been... wondering if my actions will come back to bite Gemini in the end. I am just keeping an eye out on her when I am not there to properly protect her is all," he said a bit cryptically. Sabel wasn't dumb. On the contrary, the kid was quite intelligent and often picked up on what was being said in between the lines. He hoped this was one of those moments where Sabel had clarity.
"This old friend got a name? A criminal history... a brain in his head? Or her. Is it a her?" he rambled a bit. |

"This old friend got a name? A criminal history... a brain in his head? Or her. Is it a her?" he rambled a bit. Letting out a slow breath, Sabel drew one hand across the back of his neck and scrubbed it. "Paranoia is unbased fears and assumptions that have no solidity in logic, Damien." They both knew the risks, the 'what ifs' were just formalities of hope. "We won't let anything happen to her or your child." His eyes found his friend's, intent with promise. "Or to you."
He couldn't speak for everyone, but he wasn't about to let Jackson Junior grow up fatherless. No matter what it took. "Simon...he's from Hogwarts. Clean as a whistle. You'd like him." Resting his head back against the door, he cast his eyes about the room as if checking for any indication that someone might be listening in on their private conversation. The her was a ship set sailing. Not something Damien needed to know about right now. "...Was it the letter Evander got?" Because before the worry had been present, but not actualized. Not like this.

Damien actually rolled his eyes at the kid. "You know if things in the Auror field don't work out for you you could make a career in Philosophy." Always philosophysing at him and all that. "And I am the last of my worries. If something comes down on my head I will have brought it upon myself. I won't have anything happening to Gemini, the baby, and my dog, though." Yeah. Not even his DOG.
"Think of it as a catalyst for action is all. And I am having to think responsibly before I can strike is all. It will be revealed in due time," he said pointedly. He did NOT want to discuss things here, even if he was sure there was no way in hell that someone could be listening in. |

Like Damien's first reaction, a smile failed to find Sabel's lips this time around. "There's no career in Philosophy. Just a lot of talk and no action." And he didn't mean the guns blazing action either.
Turning his eyes to the ceiling, he frowned a little. He was sure he already knew the answer, had already heard it at one point or another, and really he didn't blame the man for his choice, but it was different being on the outside looking in than being on the inside looking out. "You don't have to strike. That child needs both parents, Damien. While you may think it honorable to die for them, you'll do nothing for either of them dead. Trust me, I know." If Damien knew him, he would know that Sabel wasn't talking about being cowardly and backing out to save his own skin. Someone long ago had told him to chose his battles wisely, and now, it seemed that same logic had to be passed on.
As for the rest of it, he would have to mind his curiosity and concern and wait.

"Who said anything about dying? That's one thing I in no way intend to do. I merely meant that I don't want my sticking up to these... people... to negatively effect my wife and child. They aren't above the threats," Damien said and paused for a long moment. "But they will be hard pressed to catch any of my team or the entire MLE when they aren't ready to act. You are just letting your personal feelings cloud this is all. No one's dying..." |

"Perhaps."
Turning his head, he stole a glance at one of the mirrors. "Look at us, older than our years while still clinging to youth." His frown deepened. "The Cult has robbed enough from people with the airs and fronts of benefiting the whole. There's not much benefit if no one is of a sane mind to receive it." His eyes flicked back to Damien, determined and solemn. "I am full frontal to my duty Damien, personal feelings has nothing to do with it anymore. We won't let you down."

| "Just be careful is all I ask. And not just for yourself, but where your friend is concerned. Wouldn't want innocent bystanders to get involved," he said as he rose from the chair. With a flick of his wand he vanished it and stretched.
"And I know you all won't fail in your duties. If you do I will fire you all," he said with a smirk. He meant it, but he also knew they would do their jobs. "Have you lot decided who is getting stuck with me, yet? I won't be out in the open as much, but I will be there nonetheless." |

His head and his eyes dropped, his thoughts trailing so distantly he didn't really hear Damien at all. Perhaps it was better it had happened this way, that it had happened now. After all, would she miss him if something did happen?
...."I can accompany you if you wish. Emily was working on organizing the group when I left." His words came distant, eyes not looking up to meet Damien's. He didn't really care where he was placed, as long as he was doing something useful besides sitting at a desk. As long as he wasn't waiting about, he didn't care. And his expression to the floor said it all.

| Damien wasn't typically stern with Sabel, but this... whatever it was going on with him was hitting a nerve. "Where's your head at, Dakest? Huh? Look at me when you speak to me and get your thoughts off of whatever it is that's making you so mopey. You are acting like a kid again. Come on! You have a very important job to do and if you are stuck in your headspace you will likely get yourself or someone else hurt. Do you understand me?" he said in a stern tone as he pushed past Sabel and out into the restroom.
Placing his hands on the edge of the counter he looked into the mirror and frowned. Did he REALLY look that old? Sheesh. He should probably sleep more. But that damn dog kept him up when Gemini wasn't tossing and turning or making him go cook at 3 AM. Bah.
"You come with me you better be on your best. You got it?" |

"You come with me you better be on your best. You got it?" Sabel could feel the muscles in his jaw tightening, the anger and rage rising at each of Damien's words. While he knew that Damien was right, keeping everything so bottled up was killing him. He needed to talk to someone, that much he knew, but then he also knew that there was no time and there was, in essence, no one.
His body jerked a little at Damien's push past him, an action that had him steeling his emotions and shoving them deep within. Damien wanted a robot for a partner, he could have one. "Yes Sir." It wasn't snippy, it wasn't rude and it wasn't disrespectful. It was the complete opposite. One hundred precent devotion and understanding. Damien would lead and command, he would follow. Damien was right, letting his mind wander from those two points of understanding would only bring about distractions and hesitations that could cost a life.

| "The first day you walked into this office I TOLD you not to call me sir. Don't get your knickers in a twist and start disrespecting me, boy," he said as he eyed Sabel in the mirror in front of him.
"When patrol is done I will take you out for a drink and we can talk properly, but I need you to focus right now. Turn it all off and focus on the job, okay? It's what we all have to do," he said with a sigh. |

He wanted to shrug at Damien's offer, but he knew that would be disrespectful and coming from a place of irritation that had no home between him and Damien. Instead, he did his utmost best to put the anger that had risen as a result of Damien's words or a defense to them, he still didn't know, aside and focus on the important things Damien was saying. The things he knew he needed to hear. "Understood."

| Damien nodded his head and then rolled his neck to try and release some of the tension built up there. "What's that YATI kid's name? You know him?" he asked after a moment. Yeah... he hadn't bothered asking at all. Heh.
SIGH. He could HEAR Gemini scolding him for being stern with Sabel. Sighing once more he turned around and looked at the boy. "Look... I only get on you about these things because I care, Sabel. I mean that. I know I shouldnt play favorites with you lot, but you annoy me the least. I already told you I see you as a... son. I am just trying to make you the best you can be." With that little slip he straightened to his full height and smoothed down the front of his waistcoat.
"You will patrol with me... but I think I need to take you to see Gemini in the shop first." Yep that was how things were going to be. Nodding once Damien placed his wand back in its holster and made for the door. |

Nodding once Damien placed his wand back in its holster and made for the door. "Legend. Legend Chosen. He's...a fellow Gryffindor." Yes, he still retained that old system of classification. Even if it was a year later. Once a Gryffindor, always a Gryffindor. And Hogwarts had always been home; he would never dismiss what had happened there, or what would happen.
Damien's little speech pulled him out of the brief memories and he found some of the bitterness seeping away. Just a tad. But overall, there was the undying need to live up to Damien's expectations. To be the best he could be for Damien. The man had done a lot for him, and it was one of the only ways he could think of repaying him. Maybe time would give another opportunity, but for now, he couldn't let him down. In any way.
He didn't say anything, just nodded a little and followed Damien. He wouldn't let Damien down. Or Gemini. Or their child. Whatever it took, whatever was required of him, he would see that their family stayed together.

| continue in the office Wow that kid's parents had high expectations for him. Clearly. Who the hell named their kid LEGEND CHOSEN? Uuuugh. Damien hoped Gemini didn't want to name Baby Question Mark something ridiculous like that.
Meh. Damien turned in time to see the nod and then pushed the door open and held it for Sabel to follow. |

Emily entered the women’s bathroom on level two, it was more spacious than she had expected. But it would be a quiet place to do this, so she wasn't complaining, even if she found it strange to be learning occlumency in a bathroom.
Leaning against one of the sinks, Emily studied her reflection. How much had she improved? Or would Izzy be able to flick through her mind like a picture book the way Ignatius had? Either way, she wasn't going to take any chances. Withdrawing an unbreakable crystal phial from her pocket, she pulled out the stopper. She didn't care what Izzy saw, or what she thought, but there were some things she couldn't under any circumstances see.
Putting her wand to her temple, Emily slowly and carefully extracted a few memories and dropped the silvery wisps into the phial. After replacing the stopper she pocketed her memories and returned her gaze to the mirror... she did NOT have creepy eyes. Did she?

| Vanessa the Snot Girl l Rachels Rule | rock, tumble,&roll ❆ adorable coffee bean Wandering back up to level 2, Isobel had to think that she was quite looking forward to this. She hadn't practiced too much recently, and had a feeling that she was going to be a bit rusty. So really this was as much a practice for her, as it was for Emily. She wandered into the bathroom, glad that Emily was already there. Armen was a bit annoyed that she was staying late, she hadn't told him why, as she knew he really didn't like Emily. As far as he was concerned, she was just doing paperwork. "Hey Em." She smiled at her, hoping this wasn't going to be too tough on the girl. She knew it had been horrible when Evander had taught her back when they were training, so she did know what it felt like. At least she'd had him there to hug her after all the horrible bits.
"Have you had lessons before?" Because she was sure that she'd heard Emily talk about it a few weeks ago. She wasn't too sure though. "Evander taught me, so you're really learning from the best." She nodded with a smile. That was one of the things she was grateful to Evander for. Things were getting better between them though, it was good.

Emily looked up and locked away her thoughts as she heard Izzy enter. Good, time to get stuck into this. It was something she was dead set certain she wanted to do, she needed to learn. She couldn't help but wonder if Squid knew this was going on. And she couldn't help but wonder if Izzy would tell him anything about it to him later. It didn't matter to her if she did, she was a big girl, no drama. "Hey Izzy," she greeted, putting on a smile. Her colleague wasn't so bad after all, especially if she was willing to teach her. "I've had a few.." she trailed off. Sure she was improving, but progress was slow, and she was a little impatient. Emily nodded at the mention of Van. He was a good man, trustworthy... and epic. She definitely had a lot of respect for him, and so if he had taught Izzy, and Izzy was teaching her... it was almost like learning from the master himself.
