Aidon reentered the transportation work area and made his way to his cubicle. He had just sat down and exhaled comfortably when the familiar voice of Armen Recard filled the air. He stood up, his head looking past the short cubicles and towards his boss.
"Morning, Armen," he called. Thinking it bad to call across the office and say that he, a supervisor, wasn't sure what he was supposed to be doing at the moment, he shuffled out of his cubicle and approached Armen.
"So, er, I'm not too sure what the job plan is at the moment, Armen," he said, awkwardly. He looked into his boss's eyes, giving him a mixed expression of confusion and guilt.

Melissa quickly placed the old Muggle Magaxzin on her desk. She had to hurry because Mr. Recard was here and most likely waiting to pick up the portkeys they were supposed to make. So she took out her wand, slowly swept her wand over the magazine making sure that she had covered every inch of it and then sharply tapping it with her wand and said "POR-tus".

"Alright!! "Melissa said punching the air with one fist. Then she remembered where she was and looked around hoping that no one had heard her. She quickly picked up all the portkeys she had made and waited to see who would be working with her on making the other 4 Portkeys.

Ami walked in to her tiny cubicle and placed all her papers down. She was so exhausted from the events of last night.

As she sat down she felt her eyes closing, while her body tried staying awake and getting some work done.

"I need coffee..." Ami mumbled as she rested her head on her palm.

This was going to be a long day for her.

Lana curved over to her very OWN cubical, such nice words, OWN cubical! Heheh, she placed her fresh cup of coffee on a coster she bought for the desk she knew it would obviously come in handy she loved a fresh cup of coffee! She placed all her quills on the table going up in size! And of course who could forget the folders and labels... she put in all her welcome forums in one folder letters in another and to do pile in the last one... she opened the drawers and put in her files and other special nicknacks of hers

She lay back on her chair and tied up her golden curles, put on her glasses and reached for her coffee now to start reading before she began she put up her hand to wave slightly at the woman oppisite her cubical she smiled "Good day," she said in a real american accent and smiled

Alright. Back to work as usual. It seemed the regime change hadn't changed much. Not that Jayden minded of course. Muggle item research pretty much meant field trips at work everyday.

And Merlin knew how much Jayden hated being stuck behind a desk all day.

Maybe he could sneak buying a gift for his Jade while he was out.

He rubbed his hands together and headed for his desk. It was time to start his day.

Now. Where were his colleagues?

Rose was really looking forward to work..especially now that she was the Portkey General. She was really excited about her recent promotion and promised herself to live up to that responsibility.

She entered the work area holding a coffee in one hand and spotted one of her colleagues. Rose gave him a smile. "Good morning, Mr. Monroe. How are you today?" She'd never really met him before..or had she?

Rose leaned against a desk nearby and waited for Ms. Lawson and Ms. Young to arrive.

Georgie walked in... she looked around at a couple of people were already here, she didn't really know what to do, she saw Rose and remembering her from the meeting walked over.
"Hello Ms. Wallace, how are you?"

Rose took a sip of her coffee and gave a warm smile. "Hello, Ms. Lawson." Rose placed her coffee on the desk and offered a hand. "I'm lovely, thank you!" Oh, no. The coffee was starting to make her a little hyper. "How are you this morning?"

Georgie smiled and relaxed a little.
"I am fine, can not wait to start!"

Holding some files in his left hand, pressing it against his chest. Rylan made his way towards his first day of real work. He had been a bit nervous during the meeting but now that he found out that their Department head was pretty friendly, he relaxed.

The files he was holding where his tasks. He needed to find the unchecked floo networks and probably repair them. Rylan was still waiting for an answer from Inez so he figured he should read which ones were still unchecked.

But first, he needed a place to sit. The ex-hufflepuff looked around for a good place and when he found one on the right, near the pathway in the middle and close to the door he entered the space. It looked empty with no personal belongings he could find so he figured he could sit here. Sitting down on the chair, his eyes immediately saw his full name indicating that this was his space now.

He had his own working space, how cool was that?!

"I'm brilliant. As always." Jayden said with a smile. Jayden was one of those people that just didn't believe in bad days. They took the fun out of life.

"And you, boss?" He glanced at her coffee. "I see you're about ready to tackle a day in Muggle London."

He then nodded a greeting to his fellow Portkey researcher.

Rose smiled at her excitement. "Yeah. Me neither."

"Good to know, Mr. Monroe." Rose was glad that she had such lovely people working with her. It would make things easy, wouldn't it?

"You can call me Rose." The brunette looked down at her coffee and grinned. "Yep. It's going to help me get through the day." They did have quite a long day ahead of them, after all.

Anna was so happy when she returned back to the work area after the meeting. After all she was the Head of the Floo network and that made her feel proud. As she was busy making herself feel full of pride she noticed one of the Floo worker walk beside her. She followed as she saw him moving towards his place of work. As she walked and could finally get hold of the guy she said "Hey there. I'm Anna Smith" hope he knew her. She didn’t want to feel embarrassed as she was the head and if nobody knew her that would be sad.

Rylan looked around at his desk. He should make it more personal now it is his? It looked pretty dull to him. Maybe a plant or picture frames with photo's of his family and friends? Taking a mental note to decorate his working space later, the man then opened his file and looked at the networks needed to be checked.

There were quiet a lot. So far only three or four had been checked and he knew he had some work to do. He sighed as he leaned back in his chair and it was then that a voice caught his attention.
A woman's voice... Still leaning back against his chair, Rylan focused his dark brown eyes on the woman standing near and smiled at her. "Hello! I'm Rylan Seong. Nice to meet you An..." he trailed off as something clicked inside his mind, hadn't he heard about a Anna before? Wasn't she...?

His eyes widened for a second and he quickly stood up, shoving his chair back a little too harshly as it banged against the wall behind it. "I'm sorry" he quickly said and bowed deeply. "I'm new and... i knew your name sounded familiar but i was too slow to recognize it"

What a GREAT first impression to the Head of the Floo network system right?

Anna was about to go to a shock when she didn't gt any reaction of her standing in front of the guy. Doesn't anyone know who i am here? Point to be noted, get more into socialization in the work place she thought and narrowed her eyes as she saw him introducing himself still relaxed. Okay, so he didn’t know she was the head, but at least she was a woman. Shouldn't he have that sense to stand up? She thought again after some time.

For a while she couldn't understand why he stopped mid sentence, what was up his mind she thought and stepped back as she saw a quick motion in his body too quick actually. And was about to laugh as she saw the chair bang the wall behind as he got up. "Oh, Oh, relax, not gonna bite you. Please sit." She said. It was better if he kept sitting rather than giving her shocks like that. "Hope it's alright here. Make yourself comfortable. I'm there in my office if you need me. And don't shy to ask question." She said and smiled at him.

Jayden nodded. "Rose it is then." he said with a smile. That was easy enough to remember. Unlike his first boss... she had a difficult name...

Hmm... there were a lot of women in the transportation department, wasn't there?

He smirked. "Yeah. The muggles aren't that bad though. I actually prefer the muggle counterpart to a lot of magical things." Like cars. Cars were way better than any for of magical travel.

Plus... he felt the magical population needed to learn the joy of traveling. They were always much more concerned with instant arrival.

Rose smiled back. "Oh. Congratulations on your engagement." Rose took a sip of her coffee before she added hurriedly, "I heard you say that during the meeting."

Hm. Didn't they have to leave soon? She started to wonder what was taking Ms.Young so long.

Rose nodded at his next words. "Yeah. I like the muggle world as well..especially.." Er. What were they called now? "Cell phones? I think they are quite useful." She had one of those..and she used it quite often to talk with her family.

Leo was stuck. Not literally. He was just at the end of his creative ability for the day. His task was to think up a new broom feature, and get to work on how to make it possible, but he was just creatively dead today. He had sat there for almost an hour so far, trying in vain to think of something that the wizarding community might want. He hadn't had a single letter in the last month requesting a new sort of feature, and he wasn't sure what to do. So for the time being he sat there and tapped his quill against his desk, trying to think.

Suddenly the idea just fell right into his head! What if, when a person fell off of thier broom, the broom stayed stationary instead of falling high speed toward the ground? And even better than that, what if it also had aharm to cath a person when they fell past a certain distance? It was perfect! People would be sure to love it, and it would make the sport ten times safer. He couldn't believe it hadn't been thought of before. It was possibly the most genius feature Leo had ever some up with.

Frantically he began drawing diagrams of what he wanted. He'd need a net charm, an automatic freezing charm, and he needed to put them together. To top that off Leo needed to research the biggest distance it was safe for a person to fall, he didn't want to take out the falling aspect all together, because people would be less entertained. But he did want to ensure the safety of the faller. He needed to try to put a netting charm in a semi sphere too. This was going to be quite the task, but Leo was up for it. With any luck it would be finished in time for Presley's fourteenth birthday in September. Or Maine's birthday!

Georgie looked around...when were they gonna start and where was the other person.
She hoped they were ok!

Inez hadn't recieved any progress reports or finished assignments from her employees yet, which wasn't too concerning seeing as many of the things she had asked them to work on were large tasks she just decided it was time she check in on them.

The Department made her way out of her office and down the short hallway to where the employees worked in the cublicles, her high heels making no noise on the carpet. She stopped in the front of the large grouping of desks and noticed a few employees here and there.

"Good morning everyone, how's everything coming? Do any of you need any more instructions or help with your tasks?" She hoped they were doing alright but she wouldn't mind at all helping them with their work or going along with them if they needed her too.

Holli looked up at their new department head, giving a tired smile. Ugh, she needed more sleep with this kid inside her. Three months to go. *gulp* And she had no clue what she was actually supposed to be doing for her task. She was hoping it was pregnancy brain and she wasn't just turning into a complete idiot. Make a list of where Portkeys could go. The words wouldn't go together in her head, though.
'Could a Portkey go... Uh... In a field?' she asked hopefully, tucking a strand of ginger hair behind her ear. She might be close. Somehow. Probably not, she was just hoping.

Lana looked up startled by the approach of the head. She looked and the others to speak first. But really she didn't need any help the task was pretty straight forward go to diagon alley speak to the quality quidditch supplies, shopkeeper if they needed anymore shipments. But she just needed to set it up really ''Hello,'' she mumbled looking down at her letter again, but not really concentrating on it what so ever

Leo heard his department head before he saw her, but he glanced up from his diagram just in time to see her stop in front of his desk. "Morning," he smiled genially. He stacked his papers neatly and shook his head at the question. "I was about to head down to the charms office to see what could be done about a couple of facets to the new feature I'm working on," he updated her. Because he wasn't the awkward employee who simpy shook their head and kept working. She obviously wanted to know what they were all up to and if they were on task, and Leo most certainly was.

Melanie walked into the magical transportation with a bored look on her face. She was tired of being an employee of the Maintenance department. Rarely anything was ever assigned to them. She wished there was more action that happened in her department, but alas, usually the ministry doesn't need much servant work. She walked over to a man that was working in his desk and tried to put a smile on her face. "Hello there. I'm part of the Maintenance department and I'm wondering if you will need any asistance? I could get you a mug of butterbeer or hot chocolate since I have nothing to do right now. The maintenance department is quite boring." she said awkwardly

Inez took in the small stint of silence as her que to leave them to their work but just as she turned to head out of the large room that housed the cubicles, Holli, one of the Porkey workers, spoke up with a question.

"Ummm...well yes, but Holli you see, what I need from you is a small list of specific places were we could place Porkeys for magical people to use. One's that are considered 'high-traffic' areas like Kings Cross Station that could be used by parents of Hogwarts students who don't Apparate."

Hopefully that made more sense.
After speaking with Holli, Inez decided that perhaps she should wander through the aisles to see if any of the other employees seemed to need any help, or just wanted to talk.

After walking a little bit, the woman came across one of the newer hires. "Morning Lana, have you contacted Quality Quidditch Supplies in Diagon Alley yet?" If not she would love to go there with her. It would be nice to leave the office.
"Oh, Leo that's wonderful." Inez, turned to look at the man talking about the broom features he had been working on. "What all have you come up with?" Inez walked over and stopped at the door of his cubicle, leaning against one of the walls. She really was eager to see what he had been working on. New features for brooms really were needed.
While dealing with her own employees, really the only people she expected on level siz at the moment, Inez wasn't really suprised when someone else announced their arrival.

Honestly she thought the girl worked for her and was just late.

"Oh, well hello there dear. Umm...I'm sure we can find something for you to do around here." She was with Maintance? Well there really was so much for them to do around the Ministry but they seem to think they don't have any? That was strange. "Well if you would like you could go ahead and water the plants in here and in the waiting area and when you are finished with that you can empty each of the rubbish cans."

Yeah that would be a good start.
