Holli walked in with some flies for the Venus Fly Trap. She walked up to the plant and fed it it's flies. She had been told to look after it and so she would! She watered the plant, and sat down at her desk thing. |
Esteban had promised Gina that he would do what he could. So that brought him down to level 6. He needed to talk to his wife, he needed to know where this level stood, but he sure hoped that it wouldn't be suspicious. No couldn't be, he was her visiting his wife, surely that's not a strange thing to do. He stepped into the inter office or the by the cubicles and began to look around for her, or at least a friendy face. |

Katrina was sifting through papers and sipping her coffee when she noticed that there was someone there. "Excuse me, sir, are you looking for someone?" she asked politely. He seemed quite lost. It was only right for her to help someone who needed directions. |
Quote:
"I'm Esteban Rivera, International Magical Cooperation." He said, because he was sure that she would ask what Department he was in. |
Quote:
"Pleasure, I'm Katrina Rayne," she said with a smile. She needn't say which department she was in... it was pretty obvious, at least to Katrina it was. |
Quote:
"Jenelise Hill...well Rivera now." He added trying to think of if Jen had ever mentioned this woman he at home before. "Is this your first job at the Ministry?" He was trying to make polite conversation. |
Quote:
"It's my second but in the same department," Katrina answered. She would offer him coffee... but she only had one mug. "Would you like me to leave a note for your wife? You can also try a paper airplane," Katrina offered. Which would make the most sense. "Unless you're here for another reason?" Not that she was implying anything, of course not. Because she might just point towards the boss man's office and tell him to head over there for any other memos. Katrina wasn't quite sure how he didn't know where his wife was either... |
Quote:
"I always thought Transportation would be a fun place to work." Esteban added taking another look around the office to see how many people could possibly over hear him. He then turned back around. "How are you liking the way things are going in the Ministry?" Esteban really hoped that sounded casual enough to sound like two friend talking. At least then if they were over heard it wouldn't sound too crazy. |
Quote:
She nodded, still cradling her beloved coffee. "It is a very fun place to work, we have a great boss and all of my coworkers are lovely people," Katrina said with a smile. She did enjoy working here in the Ministry. "You never answered any of my questions," Katrina noted. Perhaps he hadn't heard? Katrina didn't like being interrogated, it felt... odd. |
Quote:
"Oh I'm sorry," Esteban said in respsone to her, he had after all not answered her questions. "No, no need for a note, it was nothing important really, just seeing how her day was going. If you could just let her know I stopped by." Esteban said thinking he wasn't getting very far in his mission, maybe this was the wrong Department to get started in. |
...no idea what's going on...fyi Jen had been feeling a bit dizzy through out the day, so she was trying to do the majority of her work at desk. Which meant writing paperwork on floo network related things and doing a bit of filing. At this point, Jen wasn't bothered in doing so. As she worked on the paperwork somewhat slowly she tried not to focus on her coffee craving that had been trying to distract her all day. After a while of working nonstop on paperwork, Jen got up from her desk and began to walk around the office area, hoping that her day at the desk had helped with the dizziness. |

He had failed at his first attempt but he knew if he put his wife on the job she would be able to get things done. "How is the day going?" He asked her still smiling. The site of her gave him butterflies in his stomach, he loved that about her. |
Leo hadn't been assigned any work so far today, so he sat down at his desk, double checked everything that needed to be submitted, and organized it all into neat piles. What to do? He wondered, looking around. Come to think of it, he hadn't seen his boss around lately. Maybe something was going on with that...Well, as long as he had spare time, Leo pulled out a fresh sheet of parchement, and started on a letter to his little sister. It was her first week back, and she hadn't written yet, he was starting to get a little worried. |

Esteban had started leading her back to her desk, where she sat back down in her chair when they got there. She took a drink of her water, since she couldn't have coffee, and looked at Esteban with her eyebrows raised. "A bit dizzy, but that's all." She told him. "Why are you down here Esteban?" She questioned. She loved being around Esteban but this was a bit weird. |
Corin strode into the work area, the latest issue of the Daily Prophet folded neatly under his arm, a large cup of orange smoothie in one hand, his briefcase in the other. He turned into his cubicle and set his things down beside his desk, then started to prepare himself for the workday ahead.... .... until he happen to glance up at the divider of his cube. Icy blues narrowed as they zeroed in on.... Dust. There is dust on his cubicle. He tried to ignore said dust and focus back on getting his things out of the briefcase. But he keeps looking up at the D U S T. Not thick enough to draw with, but very lightly spread across the surface of the divider. He moved to shrug off his coat, his brain giving the command to hang his coat like he always does.... ..... Instead his arm moved to grab the spare paper napkin from the orange smoothie, and started WIPING the dust away. WIPE. WIPE. WIPE. WIPE. WIPE. There divider all done! Of course he had three walls. *Silent groan* |
Melissa worked into the work area. "This place is awesome," she thought to herself. She picked out one of the remaining desk that weren't occupied yet. "This place needs some decorating," Melissa thought to herself as she looked around and saw that others had already decorated their work stations. "I must remember to bring some pictures of the family and my favorite places that we've visited and hang them here". She placed her jacket on the chair and went to mingle with the rest of the staff. |
Maine walked into the work area, her bag slung over one shoulder and a cuppa coffee in her spare hand. Setting them down on her table, she looked around the workspace. It felt nice to be back after the weekend. Just as she sat down, she heard a soft groan. Looking up, she saw one of the employees glare at their cubicle. Of course she'd help. That's what Maine's for! Wand in hand, she walked over towards the older man and whispered "Tergeo," her wand sweeping over the walls of the cubicle. Hand extended, she introduced herself. "Good morning! I'm Charmayne. Charmayne LeBlanc." |
Melissa had read the HoD's announcement about starting work on making the Portkeys for the staff of the Department of Environment Protection. She had picked out 4 items from the list they had posted and started working on the first one. She first pulled out the Muggle Pocket Watch. "This should come in handy. No one would suspect that it was a Portkey at all." Taking out her wand, she performed the Portus spell by slowly sweeping her wand over the pocketwatch and then sharply tapping it with her wand and said "POR-tus". The pocket watch glowed blue and trembled briefly before returning to its normal appearance. "One down, 3 more to go", Melissa said to herself. |
Katrina reclined comfortably in her seat. Yes, she had seen the memo on the board, but it didn't exactly mean she had to start owl'ing everyone right away. It meant she had a limited time to do everything and it was early. So right now, she had at least forty-five minutes to relax and drink her coffee and read her Daily Prophet in peace. Katrina had stopped reading the paper at home altogether... unless she wanted to look at the newspaper in the toilet and wonder what she had missed out on. So with her eyes on the black, white and grey print, and took a sip of her coffee on her desk. Perfect morning. |
Tim wandered into the Work Area and looked around so he found and empty desk and sat down.He puthis Jacket around his chair. He had a sip of his coffee and went to see more staff members. |
Leo sat down at his newly redecorated desk. Decorated, for Leo, meant that a picture of his family, and an undecorated christmas tree now adorned his small work area. He pulled out his planning notebook and a pen, and began the days work. He would need to report to Armen at the end of today, and would like to have something useful to say. Of course, it would make his life wayyy easier if the two people he was supposed to be working with were anywhere to be found, but they weren't. SPOILER!!: Leo's Notebook Leo put the last one, and stared at it, trying to figure it out. It was a fun idea, but he had no idea how to make it work. So he unceremoniously crossed it off. That would have to wait for another day. |
Melissa started working on the second portkey. Picking up the empty beer bottle, she slowly swept her wand over the beer bottle making sure that she had covered every inch of it and then sharply tapping it with her wand and said "POR-tus". The beer bottle glowed blue and trembled briefly before returning to its normal appearance. "Two down, 2 more to go", Melissa said to herself, wondering whether how her other fellow co-workers were faring with their items. |
Armen walked into the main working area of the Transportation department. The room was full of cubicles belonging to members of each division, but their walls were just low enough he could see peoples' heads popping in and out of them with the work and projects visible. "Morning everyone, are we all doing ok today?" he asked looking around at the mass. "I am always here to help if you need me." |
Melissa was about to start working on making her third Portkey when she heard her Head of Department's voice in the work area. "Oh No! I do hope that he's not here to pick up the Portkeys. I'm still working on mine. He's going to think that I'm incompetent and fire me. I know he is," Melissa thought to herself. She needed to speed things up a bit. Picking up her third item which was an old tennis shoe. She slowly swept her wand over the shoe making sure that she had covered every inch of it and then sharply tapping it with her wand and said "POR-tus". Okay 3 down, 1 more to go. Melissa reached out to pick up her last and final item. An outdated Muggle Magazine called People. |
Ryan walked into his Office Space and sat down.He pulled out his Note Book and Coffee and began to work.He wasn't really working just coming with new ideas for the Floo Networks. He didn't want to stop he was having so much fun. |
