Allie walked into the work are, her stuff completly jumbled in her arms. It was an assortment of quills, parchment, ink and, for some reason, the mini cactus that never left her. She walked over to the nearest free desk, and put her stuff onto it. Keeping a desk tidy was going to be hard for Allie, who wasn't at all tidy. She whipped out her wand and started sending her picture flying up to the walls around her desk. |
*cough* Me? Behind? Maybe... Quote:
Running his hands through his hair, he moved out from his work area and towards where the others were. Ah good, stuff to do. "Need a hand with that?" he grinned, standing a a little ways to the side of Mister Recard as he levitated a...thing. He could levitate stuff, not much to really mess up there, but it was just figuring out what it actually WAS that interested Cyryl. Was this a tea cup saucer? Looked like his grandmothers. |

Helena set the box on the ground and took a look around, taking in the rows of bland cubicles. She picked one at random and began to unpack, trying to find the perfect place for everything. Pictures of Christine were placed strategically around the workspace, and her favorite Holyhead Harpies poster was hung where anyone who happened to be passing could see it. She stepped backward out of the cubicle to see what it was like coming in, and managed to run straight into the man from the cubical next to her own. "Oh, wow! I'm.. I'm sorry I didn't even see you there!" she stuttered. |
Quote:
"Oops! Sorry." he muttered in surprise, taking a step away from whoever it was. Looking behind him, he grinned and shook his head, waving off her apology. "No, no it's alright. I'm in the way." Was he in the way? Eh. Taking a quick look to the side, he noticed the cubicle next to his own, and it definitely looked more exciting than his own. "This one yours?" he asked, pointing to the cubicle and summoning the saucer to him afterward. He WILL hang this thing up sooner or later. |

"Sorry. I'm really picky about my decorating. If I'm going to spend hours on end here, I want it to feel like home. I'm Helena, by the way," she said, turning around to face the man as she offered her hand for a handshake. |

Looking back into the cubicle as he played with the saucer in his hands, Cyryl shrugged after a moment. He didn't really know the woman so he had no idea what else she could put in there. There were a lot of pictures though. "No, it's alright. I know what you mean." About wanting it to feel like home. Merlin only knew how he'd survive in a CLEAN cubicle that was a boring color. "Nice to meet you Helena." he smiled, shaking her hand. "I'm Cyryl, your cubicle neighbor." Person. He definitely gave himself a mental note to figure out a better term for that. |
sorry I've been MIA for a bit. :D Jen kind of just stood there for the moment, she suddenly felt like she was a lost child or something. She looked around for Katrina, maybe she'd feel better if she had someone she actually knew some what near her. Upon hearing the plea for help from the head boss Armen with helping place the final few things, Jen pulled her wand from her holster and began to levitate a jar of Floo Powder near a wall where it eventually found it's home on a table. Turning next to help move a broom to the other side of the room, Jen really didn't care for flying...in any form, but she did have to admit, the brooms looked nice decorating the work space, made it feel kind of like home in a weird twisted sort of way. "What's next, sir?" She asked Armen with a smile. |
Holli ran in. 'I'm sorry, guys, I'm la-' and Holli noticed everyone was having a meeting and she had just burst in shouting. Whoops. Holli walked to her new desk she had randomly chosen on account of the situation, and everyone watching her, and sat down at the meeting thing. |

"Does anyone else want to work on the plants?" he asked, seeing as most of the others were still getting themselves acquainted or just now arriving. |
There. James was finally done with "decorating" his cubicle, along with hearing an announcement about how to make the working areas more ..lively. Well, considering the walls were plain and white, along with the outside of the cubicles, everything mashed in together. Bleh. It was an ugly look too. But nonetheless, people were giving ideas on how to liven up the place. As for James, he wasn't much of a decorator. Hence why his wife and kids decorated the house all the time, while he mostly watched and placed things where they couldn't reach. Even his cubicle looked like a mess from him trying to decorate it. Oh well, he could always fix things up later. Right now, he had to somehow liven up this place. What would a transportation work place look like anyway? Probably some brooms here and there. Taking his wand out and levitating items onto the wall, he thought about taking decorating classes. Which he desperately needed. "This doesn't look so bad, for a starter" he said, happy with a few items newly placed on the walls. |
Holli realised they were decorating. Cool! 'Wingardium Leviosa!' Holli said as she levitated the floo powder pot in front of her. SHe could sometimes do non-verbal, but sometimes she just looked like she needed the loo. Not an attractive look. |
Everyone. :D Watching as his employees began hanging Transportation items around the walls, Armen clapped his hands together. "Great job guys, especially Aidon, Jayben," 'Those names were fun to say back to back...' "James, Jen, and Cylrl!" He looked around the room at all of the Magical Transportation items that now decorated their little workspace. "So now that that is finished....we can begin planning the Borr decorating." Yeah that was right, all the work they had done so far technically didn't fall under the Minister's 'fix this place the air's too stuffy' memo; Armen just thought it looked nice. heh. "Alright what I need all of you to do now is begin working with Aidon and Cylrl here," he said clapping the men on the backs, "and coming up with a list of pants, fowers, vases and anything else you think would liven up and make this work space a bit more airy. After we are finished with this, I will most likely send a few of you to go pick the items up, got it?" he said tossing them a pad of parchment. "Now get to work!" he grinned, walking around slowly to check out the magical transport items around the room...it did turn out quite nicely. |
'Ooh! Ooh! How about a venus fly trap!' Holli grinned mischieviously. That would be so cool! |
Excuse my lateness... SPOILER!!: The Boss Man Jayden was still chuckling at his 'mistake' when Armen approached him. "That looks great Sir." he said admiring it. He watched as everyone else around the office took a wall and pitched in. Ah. Now it felt like the Department of Transportation. He walked around admiring everyone's work. He headed toward his desk and leaned against it as his boss announced the next brainstorming project. "I've always been a fan of cherry blossom trees. And peach trees." Plus, if there was a peach tree in the office there would be a quick and easy snack readily available. |

"Any other ideas anyone?" he looked around the room. They were bright employees surely there were others ready to speak up and give some help. Just then the memo in Armen's poket turned white hot, reminding him he had somewhere to be. "Ahhhh!!!" he began, startled by the heat emitting from his pocket onto his leg. "Umm...excuse me. It seems I am late for a Department Head meeting with the Minister and my collegues to discuss the very things we have been working on here. Keep up the work and I will be back to check on you and hopefully have some good news when I return! Wish me luck!" and with that, Armen jumped up and hurried towards the lifts. SPOILER!!: Dept. Head meeting memo |

Aidon turned around as Armen mentioned his name. Realizing it was a word of praise, he smiled brightly as another potted plant blossomed from his wandtip. The plants were at least six feet high, which gave them a magnificent look. As Armen told the others to join him, Aidon turned around to the rest of his coworkers. "I s'pose we should do a sort of mixture or pattern," he suggested, figuring it was time to change the plants. Quote:

"I love cherry blossom trees!" he exclaimed. They really were beautiful. Quote:
"Uh, Armen..." he said but it was too late. Their boss had already run off towards the lifts. He hadn't told them who was to be in charge. His brows furrowed, Aidon turned to the others. "Well...I'm gonna keep on placing plants," he said, walking around and waving his wand. |

Ok, her last experience with a cactus had been truly terrifying for those around her, and a small, sensible, part of Allie was telling her she should never go near one again, let alone throw one across a charms classroom, but cacti were so awesome |

Aidon turned around after sprouting a large rosebush and placing it near a large window. Since Armen was gone, it only made sense that one of his administrative staff took the position of authority. He nodded to himself as he agreed with his thoughts. He moved over to Holli and Allie. "Holli, I believe venus fly traps eat flies or any other kind of insect that happens to get inside its trap." He nodded, smiling. "You might be able to get some dried flies in Diagon Alley. Plus, they will help us get rid of those pesky flies that somehow make it inside the Ministry." He chuckled and turned to Allie. "Are we talking those big huge cacti or those little tiny ones that are the size of a fist?" He implored. He took a step back to address the entirety of the coworkers. "Well, let's surprise Armen for when he gets back, shall we?" he said loudly. "As long as it's not a harmful, or man-eating plant, I think it'll suffice. So let's get to it!" He was sure no one would put plants like Venomous Tentacula or Devil's Snare in the workroom. He walked around the workroom, placing various plants on desks and on shelves that he too conjured up. |

Anyone ^_^ Finally placing the tea saucer onto the wall, Cyryl was rather surprised when he felt something hit his back. Meep, him? Yush, he was here. When he took this job, he didn't think he'd be working with actual plants and flowers, which was stuff you'd find outside, but nonetheless, he was quite pleased. If he had to work in this cubical thing all day, than he wanted flowers in here darnit! A little bit of LIFE would be nice. Yea, he still got into the cool department. Looking around as Armen moved away, his thoughts turned to the venus fly trap that someone mentioned, and then...then ducking for his life. WHAAA! Although, it did give him an idea. "Who's up for getting flitterblooms!?" Raise of hands?! Yea, he GRINNED at that. "Psychological purposes. Could make people think this area is more 'airy'." Air quotes around 'airy'! |

Under her breath, Allie conjured a few cacti in pots and started placing them round the room, trying very hard not to trip over anyone and cover them in minature cactus spikes. |

"They have a nice swaying property." he said matter-of-factly. It would make the room appear as if it had a breeze to it. They would have to be careful though. They mustn't get it confused with a Devil's Snare. But of course, he assumed that the one picking up the plants would be able to tell the difference. |
Having just seen the memo about ALL Law Enforcement Employees needing to re-test for their Apparition licenses, Katherine decided she better head back to the Work Area to better formulate what needed to be done to get ready for the influx of wizards and witches needing testing. Stealing a glance out the window, she sighed before looking back at her notepad and jotting down a few things in a list format: * Obtain and confirm Law Enforcement Employee Listing |
