Albert Kettleburn EraAll historical records pertaining to Ministry of Magic RPG under Minister for Magic, Albert Kettleburn [IC January 2081 - December 2086; OOC June 2013 - January 2015]
"Healer Donovan, I'm sure you are more than capable of overseeing their evaluations, are you not?" It begged concerned if the Ministry's Head Healer hadn't thought to proceed without needed to be prompted. Wandy shook his head. It was the stress that was affecting his thought process. Poor, POOR Healer Donovan.
"If you'll begin those, I'll take care of this." Thank you. That would be all.

How she wanted to speak to Anthony and give him a piece of her mind about interrupting the work day with this nonsense. That’s exactly what it was. “Grown adults forced to do evaluations. We have our own healers for that.” They weren’t children.
Her eyes moved back to the one man that said, “The healer isn’t even here? Well lovely, we are forced out of our work to stand around and wait on someone who isn’t even here.” She gave a frustrated sign. Seeing a familiar face she did force a smile. “Brad how are you?” Was he enjoying the helping of torturing the ministry employees? “I’ve been wonderful other than this memo I got about interrupting my work day to come here and do something that my own healer is very capable of doing.”
Hearing someone else she glanced up and watched as he asked the woman her name and stuff. She could care less about that. “Are you from St. Mungos, because if you are. My appointment is now and I do need to get back to my job. I think you would understand that since you are clearly here to do yours. So can we please move this along.” Tapping her foot in frustration as she looked at the healers. She was very close to turning and going back to her desk she had work to do. "Exactly Brad, we were here before her and we have appointment times." She wasn't trying to be mean, but she had things to do other than be skipped in line just because a younger prettier female was there for the healer to hit on.
Wandastian really hadn't needed to respond to the sarcastic blond woman, but her attitude was just oozing contempt. WHY could these Ministry people see the dangers they were in and presenting to others?
"Ma'am, you are overworked; an explicit sign of a stress condition." The signs! Oh, the drastic AMOUNT of signs. "Healer Donovan should have been attending to you all before I arrived. If he is inadequate in any way, I presume you'd take that issue to Healer Cresswell."
He shifted his gaze back to the Healer in question, a pleasant smile in place. "It seems you have some work to do, Healer."

Health Evaluations were just like Quidditch physicals, right?
Nothing to worry about. Ellis Recard made his way to the Healing station at his scheduled appointment time and entered the the queue behind a guy (Ferris) and a few others waiting for the Healers to call their names. The Quidditch public relations worker had felt fine and wasn't entirely sure why they all had to have a health eval but he was just assuming it was for insurance reasons or something.
He'd not been in St. Mungo's since he took that bludger to the head as Keeper.
Recard took a deep breath and looked around the room. There were quite a few people there already but none of them looked ill, mostly just annoyed. He noticed his manager Vic there as well as a redhead leaning against the counter.
Suddenly the memory of his past physicals came back to him--he might have to take his clothes off. He wasn't in bad shape but he hadn't done an official team work out in years.
His shoulders deflated slightly as he took a step forward as the next person was called.
Brad gave Vic as warm a smile as he could make at this moment. "I've been better." Especially without these people poking their noses in places where they obviously don't belong. He smiled. "I understand completely, but my hands are tied here." He had no choice. Hopefully she'd notice that.
Brad balled his fists. This Epitaph was already getting on his last nerve and he'd just gotten here. "I'm definitely capable. I just don't want them sitting here waiting and someone else going first while I have a patient back in the room already. Patients should be treated in the order they arrive. Especially since they have appointments." He hadn't checked yet but he was going to say they did anyways. He clenched his fists tighter. Brad wanted to punch him badly but knew that wouldn't end well for him or Anthony.
Bradley was just about to head back to help Kaden when Ferris showed up near the back of the group. Oh no. He was not letting this wackjob near Karten. The guy was already anxious enough. He stopped when Epitaph said he was going to grab him as well. "All right. Just so you know I've already been helping him with his anxiety issues."
Brad saw the other man show up, but he couldn't hang around Epitaph anymore. He was going to say he'd take care of this one as well. He turned back to Vic and Deacon. "I'll be right out for you two shortly. Just - just have a seat."
"If you'd please join me back here Kaden." So he could vent. Brad waited by the exam room door.

Victoria turned her gaze towards Brad, "He is not doing anything wrong, you sir are the one that is. I really do not have time for this." She glanced at her watch and then back to Brad. "Take your time Brad you will have one less to evaluate." Her eyes turning back towards the man. "If your whoever has an issue with that then they will have to deal with it." She turned and headed back to her own department.

Pushing his way into another room, checking for employees that might be hiding or trying to get out of being these VERY IMPORTANT examinations, Wandy proceeded to the Healer Station. Many people are already turned up, looking none to happy about it. Well, that was essentially too bad. They were all so sick. With each passing second, the signs and symptoms presented themselves.
He contemplated possible stress-relieving activities while \slathering on more hand sanitizer. Some zen gardening would've been spectacularly lovely right about now.
Healer Donovan had his hands full, so Wandastian took the next 'patient'. Oh, she was a HAPPY one. Her grinning face was what the Healers loved to see...but perhaps she was covering up something much more traumatic. Yes, yes...Wandy had seen it many, many times. Very unfortunate.
"Healer Donovan, allow me to take this one." The very busy Healer received a wide smile. It was explicitly clear Wandastian was leaving no room for arguments. "I need your full name and your level." The appointment book was indicated.
Well this was just lovely, wasn't it? It was quite like watching a Quidditch match between the two Healers, that woman from another floor, and everyone else standing around waiting to be evaluated. Tori was immensely amused AND taking detailed mental notes about all of this. Yes. All the arguing made for GREAT newspaper material.
So.
Her name.
She cleared her throat slightly and blinked up at this NEW Healer, this much cuter one. "I'm from level...... six." That was, what, Transportation? Yeah, because seven was sports, and five was cooperation... Tori was totally rocking this.
"Last name: Smith, first name... well what do you have me under? I actually go by my middle name." She was pulling that one out of her butt and counting on it + her good looks and charming smile to work. Smith was a very common name, so it was easy to assume that a busy and important department like Transportation would have a Smith in there somewhere. Little did she know that there was, in fact, a Smith on Level Six.

What…What? Health what?
Max squinted his eyes at the memo he received from Anthony, and wondered WHAT was this all about. Does St. Mungo’s know that the people in the Ministry are VERY busy people? It is THE government, for crying out loud and these loons can’t just barge in and TELL them to suspend their work so that they could run their dumb tests on them! Just so they know, being a Ministry employee is not some kind of walk in the park job, so OF COURSE they’re bound to get stressed and cranky at some point, yes? Well, what do these Mungo’s healers know anyway?
Rolling his eyes, and jamming the memo inside his suit’s breast pocket, Max made his way to the Healer and Care Station. Upon entry however, Max stopped and squinted at Brad and Jamie’s station. MERLIN. IT IS THE UGLIEST CREATION he has EVER seen. The white walls did not scare him, given that they worked in an abandoned Asylum, but the smell? Yech. Max made a face, almost gagging at the scent. Slowly but surely, he approached the Head Healer, and gave his supervisor, Fuller, a nod. “This better be worth my time, Brad. I have a nephew to rescue.” Max leaned on the counter and watched the others as they lined up.

Wandy listened as she ranted and raved, solidifying all his assumptions about her dangerous stress levels. He hadn't remembered asking her for the excess of information, but if she wanted to do this out here in the open without the privacy of a silencio'd room, he could accommodate her.
Cracking a file open and scribbling things down here and there as she spoke, Wandastian nodded; 'I'm-paying-attention' noises sounding from his lips. Hmm. Mhm. Go on.
Oh, was that it, then? Glancing up, he seen that she was stalking away. Wandastian called her back...and if she wouldn't listen, he had little scruples in tracking down her department head and giving his analysis. Yes, Wandy was deeply concerned and with one as angry and stressed as she, it was his CIVIC DUTY to HELP.
"It's unfortunate that you had to suffer for this long, but don't you worry!" The scribbling continued for a moment before he closed the file, quickly sprinted after her, and stuffed the light purple potion in her hand. "If you feel like you're about to have an episode, this will help you to remain calm. You may go back to work now."
OFF TO HELP THE NEXT PERSON!

Level Six. A rather busy level, yes.
The Healer quickly searched by surname and indeed found a Smith.

"Yep!" Tori Anna John Smith, twenty-six years old, chirped helpfully. "I go by just 'Jo' for short, please." Her sharp eyes missed nothing and it seemed like this hot-hot-hot Healer was as suspicious of her as she was of him.

Kyle was annoyed to say the least. And she was confused. What on earth was Tori doing here? She felt her eyes widen and her eyebrows furrow momentarily as she heard the name the healer had said. Should she cover for her? Should she? It was daring. She wasn’t usually daring. She’d do it.
“Jo! Hey, I didn’t know you were coming in today” she grinned at her and then smiled over to the healer in question. “Jo was awesome when it comes to testing out brooms; sad to see she’s working in the Floo Network now” she grinned and gave Tori Jo a quick look. Almost questioning what she was even doing there. "When did you get back from Mumbai?" she said in a hushed tone, practically feeding Tori the information. What. She wasn't an informant or anything.
Yes. She knew that Tori was a reporter – Charlie had mentioned something other like before moving away. Still her speaking bit was over. She just sat back and waited now for someone, anyone, to test her for whatever issue was going around the ministry now.
"Excuse me...was there an issue with the food or something?" She asked nervously as she tugged on the sleeve of her jacket. "I mean...I don't want to become a wood-eating-thing again." She muttered and glanced around at the people around her.
What was wrong? Why was she here?

Why was St. Mungo's even at the Ministry? If it weren't for the memo Jack got, he would've thought the Healers were still in their hospital curing people of spattergroit. And now they had to get health evaluations? Did they not know how busy he was? It was preposterous.
The room he entered looked much like the asylum he had to work in. Overall, it wasn't the most comforting feeling. He looked at the clock to see when he could leave. It seemed to be almost running backwards. This better be worth my time, he thought grimly.

Hearing Healer Donovan's first name, Wandastian assumed he'd be taking that particular evaluation. So, instead of inserting himself, Wandy left the man to it.
Poor, POOR stressed out Healer Donovan. He needed a little something to cheer him up after such a disastrous, time-consuming start.

Jo. What a clever nickname...
Skimming down Ms. Smith's file, the Healer noted a discrepancy with hair color but this wasn't something too unusual. Many woman changed their hair styles these days, forgetting to update vital information in company records.
Wandastian was seconds away from suggesting they proceed back to a private examination room, when the employee leaned in and began whispering. Normally, the come-ons were lost on him, being the rather awkward man he was,...and this time really wasn't any different. "Ma'am, I appreciate your willingness to comply." Had the young woman needed to inch in just to inform him of this? Was she concerned he wouldn't understand with all the commotion crowding the space? "I can assure you I won't ask you to do anything too strenuous..."

Suddenly, there was another rather perky young lady...speaking at him. Wandastian stared her down, keen eyes dissecting her every word and movement.
She seemed to be a nervous little thing. Stress did that, of course. So, it wasn't uncommon. All of a sudden, you have a notice posted, demanding you attend these evaluations. No other information provided. It was all going to taken care of shortly, however...
"I'm sorry, ma'am. If you'll take a seat, either myself or Healer Donovan will be with you shortly."

Ok. Health Evaluations? What was the point of this? It wasn't as if the ministry employees needed to be olympians or quidditch players in order to do their jobs, right? Right. Besides it wasn't as if they were doing rigorous work here at the ministry that hurt them, what was the point of this?
Saxon found this all very weird. Very very weird. Then again, that pretty much summed up the wizarding community all the time. She walked into the assigned location she was meant to be and when she walked in she realized a few people from her department were already here. So, the girl stood off to the side a bit. Hoping that she could blind in or something, not be noticed, and wouldn't have to go through this unnecessary procedure.
...and this one was just a walking textbook example of stress.
"I'll be seeing this fellow, as well." Wandy would save his life. He would...and potions would be administered. Strong potions.
Flipping through the pages of the appointment book, he glanced at the nervous-looking young lad. "May I have your full name and level?"
Ferris was not one for reaching out to other human beings for help, but he did send a panicked look in Bradley's general direction. The two did not interact much, save Ferris running away from him, but at least he was a familiar enough face. This other man was a stranger.
And Ferris wanted to pass out.
He was starting to topple over from the sheer stress of another human being talking to him. Or looking in his general direction.
"Overworked? I will have you know that I love to work and I love my job. So there is no over worked here at least with me at all. " That was the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard. "Stress.. I will tell you about stress, having three children, one that is stuck at that blasted pathetic attempt of a school with no communication and then to come to the only thing normal and enjoyable my job to have it interrupted by something so uncalled for.
Bradley couldn't help but smile as Vic went off on the man. She was officially his favorite person at this moment. He couldn't help but smirk as he looked over at Epitaph. Now if more employees acted like this, maybe the evals would stop. Or Mungo's would try and medicate the whole place. Like the other man seemed to be doing right now with Vic. He had a feeling she wouldn't drink it. Fingers crossed she wouldn't.
----------------------------------------------
And then there were more. Brad gave the ones Epitaph snagged for himself a slight smile. Poor people. He would defend all of them if any problems arose that they weren't all right with. That was part of his job in his mind.

Oh good. Another familiar face. Of course Epitaph would ignore this one and take Karten. Poor Karten. Brad was still trying to figure out a way to snag him away from the other man. He couldn't help but laugh lightly at Max's face. This station had to be an awful sight for the architect.
Brad leaned a little closer to Max. "I can assure you it's not but unfortunately neither of us have a choice in the matter do we." He whispered enough so that Mr. Mungo's wouldn't hear him. Shame about his nephew. Hogwarts was a crazy place. Brad's future kids were never going there. Ever.

Brad looked up from what he was doing and saw woman trying to blend into the background. He didn't know her, but everyone deserved to be saved from crazy Mungo's guy over there. "I can help you over here Miss. I just need your name and level you work on." So we can move your appointment up and get this whole thing over with for you.

"F-F-Ferris….Karrrrten." Meep.
See? Poor guy was freaking out already. While Epitaph wasn't looking he made motions for Ferris just to come over by him. Brad would make sure to get Karten in and out as fast as he could. Did not need that guy passing out in front of everyone. Would probably make the Mungo's people freak out more than they already were.
Ah forget the subtlety. Brad walked over to where the man was at. "He's from specialities Healer Epitaph." He gave Ferris a smile. No need to freak out.

"Karten, Ferris." Wandastian was convinced he'd never seen a more nervous fellow in all his years...and he'd worked with this general consensus. That was why there was NO ONE more qualified to fix the STRESS PROBLEMS plaguing these individuals.

He had a feeling she wouldn't drink it. Fingers crossed she wouldn't.

Ever.
Oh. So now Epitaph was sending people his way. Sigh. At least he was saving this poor girl from the strangeness that was these Mungo healers. "If you could just tell me your name and department." That way he could find her and cross her off and yada yada. She was still going to have to wait in line a bit.

Wandy was about to repeat his department level question when his fellow Healer chimed in.
This Donovan fellow was going to be a problem. It was as plain to see as the nose on his face.
"Thank you for that information, Healer Donovan." Unfortunately, Wandastian would still be assessing this poor, anxious employee himself. Severe cases and department heads were priority, of course. He and the others would attend to them personally.
Health evaluations, whatever next? Adam had rolled his eyes at the memo, but nonetheless noted his appointment down on a sticky next to his lab bench, so that he saw it as soon as he walked into his office after lunch. It took him only a moment to organise his area for when he got back, before he turned on his heel and proceeded to the elevators.
He honestly didn't think he needed this: he got a checkup every so often, had been to see healers with his children numerous times, and if anything urgent or out of hours ever came up, Stephen was always on the receiving end of Lorelai's owl. Approaching in charge healer looking people, he glanced around.

Oh. Darn. Someone had seen her already. Saxon had been sure that if she'd just stay around in the back, keeping quiet and to herself she would not be noticed. Perhaps she could've spied on what was going on here and had reported back to Mariel. Obviously, that wasn't happening.
Sighing Saxon walked over to the man that had addressed her and gave him the smallest of smiles. Name and department, or level, either worked."Saxon Kildare. Magical games and sports. Level seven." She answered easily. The blonde wanted to ask what the point of this was but held back. He would probably be telling her or something. If not she could just try to listen to other people.

Dang. This nutjob wasn't giving up easily was he? Neither was Bradley. "You're welcome." He then gave Ferris a look that said he was truly sorry. He wanted to tell Karten it would be okay, but then Crazy over here might take that in the wrong way. Seems he already had.

Bradley looked down the giant book and found her name. She seemed about as enthused about this as he did. Then again, that seemed to be the general consensus from the people coming to receive their evals. "Right Miss Kildare. If you'll just go into the examination room, we'll get this over with so you can get back to work." He pointed towards the makeshift little room.
Benji strolled into the Healer and Care Station, this would be amusing wouldn't it? He already knew he was perfect and furthermore the picture of perfect health. He was Benjamin Remington II so how could he not be? Hmm?
It's not like if there was something unhealthy about him, which there wouldn't be that these healers would make him change. But with his father's recent health issues and what not maybe he should? He did have Carrie now and Conan was as close to a child as Benji would ever have. So he wouldn't take this seriously, unless there was something wrong, then he might. But probably not.
He stepped in and was unsure who to speak to. But come on, he was him. Which meant someone would obviously notice the devilishly handsome man in the room and ask hi if he had been seen yet.
Athena Smith was not one for these types of things. In fact she wasn't a fan of this at all. Walking into the healer station with a lollipop in her mouth she strode over to the, unappealing, table desk and sat on it, not even looking at who was sitting behind the big appointment book. "Athena Smith" she looked at the people around the room. "This is my floor." Were they listening to her? "My appointment time is now and this better be quick i'm a very very busy person." in other words lets get the show on the road mr!

That's stress." So the only stress condition Victoria could see was the one this man was giving her.

She turned hearing the mans words and looked at him like she would her children who have just pushed her to her limit. "Suffer? What the hell are you talking about? Seriously you come in here, don't know anything about me nor anyone else in this ministry and start saying I'm suffering? What I am suffering from is a headache that your ridiculous voice is giving me. There is no possible way you can say I'm suffering just from telling you that you are wasting my time. Did you get your license from a chocolate frog box?" She was never this rude, but this man had tested her limits.
Looking down at her hand she glared back up at him. "An episode? What type of episode are we talking about? The type that are brought on from useless people wasting my time? Yes then I will be having one." She dropped the bottle letting it break on the floor."[/b] Wow that potion really does work I feel better already."[/b]
Turning she headed out of the area, but stopped, "Thank you for your time Brad. I hope they do not bother you much longer." It wasn't his fault the annoyance was there. Now it was time to head back to her own department. Turning she left the healer station.
"May I get your full name and department level?" He asked the next fellow.
Ellis had been people watching as he waited in line for the Healer to get to him but was quickly pulled out of his quiet reverie by the shouts of who appeared to be Victoria and a Healer.
When she smashed the potion he had slipped into her hand onto the floor. Ellis's eyebrows shot up and his mouth fell open. What was all THAT about?? The man wasn't sure if that was something to be worried about or not but before he could think much more on it or see where she had gone, the Healer was asking for his information.
"Yeah, uhh..." he said looking at the guy and pointing back at where Vic had been and the smashed potion. "Um, Ellis, Ellis Recard. Games and Sports. I know it's not my place but is that woman alright?" She wasn't sick was she? He sure as hell didn't want to catch anything if his manager hadn't taken her potion.
Benji strolled into the Healer and Care Station, this would be amusing wouldn't it? He already knew he was perfect and furthermore the picture of perfect health. He was Benjamin Remington II so how could he not be? Hmm?

Wandastian, not being moved by such charms, noticed the new face step into the area and motioned him forward. Unfortunately, everyone was considered equal in his very professional eyes.
Equally stressed, angry, and SICK...that was.
The fellow was very caviler in his approach and that lead Wandy to make some preemptive notes on a spare bit of parchment. "May I have your full name and level, sir?"

Well, well, well. Wandastian had been wondering when this particular face would pop up.
"Ms. Athena Smith, what a pleasure to see you again." He was all professional grace and nicety. Healer Cresswell's assistant, as she'd called herself, dealt with the children of the building. He'd heard some whispers of her losing a child just earlier that day...
Stress. So, SO very stressed and BLINDED by her workload. Yes, yes, it was quite difficult to get on with your business and discerning your priorities when your mind was a addled with hardships and traumas. Healer Cresswell had her working in an asylum just last year.
The poor dear!
"Just follow me back, ma'am. We have a lot of work to do and hardly any time at all to do it." URGENT. It was URGENT.

The blond woman's tantrum had not been profoundly out of place. STRESS caused even the most level headed minds to snaps and shatter beneath the weight of their hardships.
That poor woman.
Wandastian, being the helpful gentleman he was, fully planned to write a letter to her department head, requiring her to take the potion and possibly to put her on weekly doses. He'd need to think on it a bit further.
O.O.P.S. was a nasty bit of business, you see?!

"She's simply suffering from O.O.P.S., a stress condition brought on by being overworked and dealing with traumas." Wandy paused and considered the fellow a bit closer. "Do you know that woman, sir'?"

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh snap. Someone was helpin' her wit her game! BOOYEAH! Tori could SEE the journalism trophy in her sights now!
"Hey---- heyyyyy girl, so good to see you!" The redhead beamed at her new accomplice, never mind that she had little idea who she was, and nodded along with her new-found-friend's story. Right, Jo, Floo Network worker, from... Mumbai?!?! "I just got back," she whispered back to the girl. How awesome was she. Quick, think fast with this information.... "My adopted family was so happy to see me. They don't get to travel much, you know, but I had missed them. So many missed birthdays and anniversaries! They loved all the gifts I was able to bring though, even the Muggle ones." Yes, this ginger could think on her feet.
"Thanks for asking though, I'm so excited to get back to work!"

It hadn't just been Jo that was being meticulously considered and observed, of course. Anyone and everyone who could be suffering the effects of illnesses, such as O.O.P.S., loquentes ieiuniumtis, or zuccherotosis...Well, any Healer worth their salt would be on their guard with so many potentially infected. The mission was to save lives and protect the public, and Ministry, from themselves. Stress did ugly, HORRIFYING things to people. Dear Ravaora and Loranys had already seen to so many in such a short time.
Truly inspiring work.
It was because of that, however, that Wandastian was a bit more cautious proceeding forward. Poor, POOR Jo. If there was something the matter, Wandy would discover it...and eliminate the issue. She was in the best hands under his care.
"Ms. Smith, please follow me back to a private room...where we might talk a bit more openly." Secrecy was of the utmost importance to the staff of St. Mungo's. It was truly a shame when that privacy needed to be breached, and patients had episodes. Very, very difficult to maintain order in those instances.
Leading the young woman back towards one of the many smaller examination rooms, Wandy held the door open and paused for her to step inside. "Make yourself comfortable, Ms. Everything will be over soon."
