Albert Kettleburn EraAll historical records pertaining to Ministry of Magic RPG under Minister for Magic, Albert Kettleburn [IC January 2081 - December 2086; OOC June 2013 - January 2015]
Of course the French girl was excited to see beautiful flowers. But she wasn’t as excited about the flowers as she was to see attractive men arranging flowers or at least being in the vicinity of the flowers. Still, for some reason she couldn’t help but grin when she heard Sky singing.
“belle chère voix…" she bit her lip and flushed slightly as she spoke. “Yes, after this, I think ministère employés should get together and go danse” her accent was stronger now as she had spent most of her break back in Paris visiting her brother Ed, other than those days she spent with her little brothers in London.
Her eyes did flash over the nearby men...bonjour chaudasses she grinned and glanced at both William Walter Williamson and Rusty...and well, all of the men in the vicinity really.

"So pleased to hear that, Ember. You're such a positive light on level four and it's appreciated." Harmony beamed at her employee, every word she spoke dripping with sincerity. They were cut from the same cloth, her and Ember. It was nice to have a kindred spirit in the workplace.
As the red head started to braid the stems of several bright flowers together as if she'd done it many times before, she glanced over at the woman next to her and smiled. "I'm still hoping to inspire others to join us for some yoga at the ministry. Perhaps you can help spread the word on that." She'd so appreciate the support.
And as Ember moved on to help those around her, Harmony continued to work meticulously on her flower crown. She hummed quietly to herself as she did, a cheerful tune that was sure to get stuck in the heads of those around her. You're welcome.

So many flowers! It actually made Alex smile quite a bit being here and she was pretty sure that Emmalee felt the same; she nearly missed Daphne's responses about the Ministry and where she worked. "Ah, so we'll practically be neighbors! Creatures and Environment Departments work together quite a bit; we share a break room and conference room even, but of course we have our own specialized work areas. But yes, orientation every year for those new employees - a sort of fresh start to the new year." Alex nodded, picking through the flowers as she glanced over at Emmalee.
"Clematis. Definitely. Daisies are too common." Besides, that purple was super pretty. So Daphne was the mother of two - ten years apart? Which meant, she was probably around her age and that just made Alex slightly self-conscious, for about a minute. "Boys or girls?" she asked casually. "Do you have photos?" Mothers always carried photographs of their children, didn't they?
"I'm definitely going for some of these" Alex said aloud, as she selected a few of the golden pagodas

Dropping the flowers, Emmalee turned, her expression obviously apologetic. "That.. was insensitive? I only meant to say that you must be very good at what you do to be able to restrain a loose one like that and, uh, still have all your pieces."
Pursing her lips, because THAT hadn't come out any better, really, Emmalee turned back to her flowers. Daphne suggested daises, Alex selected clematis, Emmalee had also pulled over some moly - though she was skeptical of putting something she considered rather valuable in a bouquet that Charley would clearly knock over that night. Setting the moly aside to at least grab a stalk to store away, she selected an assortment of both daisies and clematis to bundle with the stargazers.
She looked over at the other women and smiled as Daphne discussed her children and Alex followed up. She'd just be over here, adding some decorative greens, not putting her foot in her mouth.

Then after the hugging happened she noticed Emmalee was there. She smiled and remember working with her. She nodded towards her and said, "Hello Emmalee nice to see you again." Using her proper manners her mother only taught her so well.
Still not knowing quite what she was doing, Daphne picked up a few random flowers that seemed to match well and gathered them in her hand. She didn't know if being around two Environmental people would help her or just make her look even more inadequate. She decided that it was probably the first one. She didn't see Alex and Emmalee as the type to flaunt their talents while pointing out somebody else's flaws. Good, good.
She turned to Alex as the woman joined them at the station. "Neighbors, that's right. Emmalee was telling me how our departments are on the same level," she said. At least she already knew three people on her level. That would cut out the awkward 'first day and not knowing anybody at all' routine. She picked up a few pieces of greenery to add to her flowers and situated them in her bunch, as well. "I don't know what I'm more excited about. My first day on the job or next year's orientation," she added with a smile. Of course it was really her first day on the job. Without the job and the love of it, still being here for the next orientation was a moot point.
Daphne shrugged as Alex chose the opposite flower Emmalee had been asking about. She guessed Alex would know more about that kind of thing anyway. "My oldest, Kate, is a girl," she said, already rummaging in her bag for pictures. "My youngest, Ryland, is a boy, only three weeks old." She pulled out a picture of a blonde-headed girl and a little boy with a hospital nursery hat still on his head.
Daphne looked toward Emmalee with wide, bright eyes as she talked about dating a guy who worked with dragons. Then just as quickly, her bright eyes turned into a mixture of sadness and shock as she realized what Emmalee was trying to say. "I'm sorry to hear that," she said, keeping her words short so as not to upset the woman. She shook her head. She'd known of a few others who'd passed the same way, but she hadn't known their friends or family members.
Daphne gave a slight smile, though, when the woman spoke about her still being alive and well after restraining a loose dragon. "Well, lucky for me, I just did the researching part. I was there for the restraint but as more of a guide than an actual restrainer," she explained. "I was there for strategy, which is more of what researchers do at a restraint." She still could have been hurt, because as anyone knew, dragons were quite large and could move very quickly without humans ever seeing it coming.
They were soon joined by someone who must have been a friend of both Alex and Emmalee. Daphne didn't interrupt, but she did pass the woman a small smile before getting back to her own flower arrangement.
There was something odd about level 4 employees and it didn't even matter which department they were from. Not that it was any skin off Rusty's nose, just an observation. He couldn't help smiling a little bit though.
"Is it that obvious? I have no idea how to... bouquet." He sort of gestured at it all. Helplessly. This was a bad idea. Merlin.

Ember smiled kindly at the man. "Hey--it's okay. Not everyone is good with flowers--" she said as she finished braiding her crown and placing atop her already brightly colored head. "Well..first...you should pick out what flowers you want--and do you want them..for your home? For a girl? For..." she thought for a moment. "OH! If you gave them to a motherly figure--HOW NICE AND SWEET WOULD THAT BE?" she squealed, squeeeezing her hands together excitedly as she bounced on the balls of her heels, picking up a few flowers so that she could make some bouquets as well. "Because who you make it for...could determine the colors.." she smiiiiirked a bit.
LOVE WAS AMAZING, OKAY? Okay. HEHEHHE. She winked at the man. Right.
Turning back to Harmony, Ember almost TEARED up, but held her control and just...smiled SOOOOO big that her mouth HURT. "Oh Harmony!" and she suddenly hugged her and giggled...lots. "I try to be! We should all be positive in a place where what we do affects the lives of other living things!" It was so LOGICAL.
SHE WANTED TO DO THE YOGA. YES.
"HARMONY!" she cried suddenly, probably way too loud--oh well! "Let me make fliers---LET ME MAKE FLIERS!" she said, clapping her hands together and dropping her flowers...everywhere....OOOOOPS. "I will make fliers! And I will PUT THEM ALL OVER THE MINISTRY OKAAAY?!?!" She said and she just...UGH. She wanted them to be PERFFFFFECTO! "And we can have yoga sessions every so often to...." she thought. " 'Release the stressses of the workplace...'...YEAH?" she looked...very dreamy about this...

.................................................. ............................ Ember was very high energy huh? Rusty just blinked. "That would be... uh. They're for my daughter, actually. She doesn't like pink." Sooo that was... about it. And h was getting a slight breather as she turned to the other woman. Rusty eyed the flowers, still completely at a loss.
Oh and that creatures dude was here. And that... made Rusty realise that up until now he'd been the only guy hanging about the flowers. Maybe he should say louder that it was for his kid yeah?
The thing was if he did a crappy job, Lola wouldn't have any problem saying so. Yep. He needed a flower expert.
He eyed Ember again, somewhat warily. So... could she help?
