Albert Kettleburn EraAll historical records pertaining to Ministry of Magic RPG under Minister for Magic, Albert Kettleburn [IC January 2081 - December 2086; OOC June 2013 - January 2015]
The closer the two legged creature got to her, the faster and harder the pygmy flapped her wings. No, she wasn't as big as an average sized granian. She was just under half of that size actually, pony sized almost. But that didn't mean her wind her wings caused couldn't create a mess.
A few flaps and more paper scattered about, but she was airborne! The small creature whinnied as she flew as close to the ceiling as possible, weaving as she continued toward the strong scent at an alarming rate. She had to get out of here!
OOC: Remember, guys, not to play the outcomes for the PG. She's not caught until we say she's caught.

He slammed the door shut and stood in front of it, putting his coffee down on the nearet desk - with any luck it wouldn't be knocked over by the wind created by the Granian's wings. It was a pygmy by the look of it - it looked like an adult but it wasn't big enough to be an ordinary one. He'd had to deal with these in the German ministry a couple of years ago...
"Somebody close the greenhouse door..." he said, trying to think of a way to catch the poor creature. "Quickly!" She must be missing the outdoors and there were a loooooot of plants in the greenhouses. It would be dangerous and expensive to allow the poor thing in there.
Luckily, another colleague walked in. Marina nodded at his suggestion, "I think they're already... sealed?" Also it was a bit long way to get inside before either one of them to stop it, right? However, the little thing was making a cute mess as it flapped and freaked out. "Maybe we should... use magic to get her down?" Her, him, whatever. Marina wasn't sure of using her wand against the poor thing.
Her wand was in her hand in a second as she moved over to look at the greenhouses. With a flick of her wand, the entrance was sealed. Their precious plants were saved.... hopefully nobody was in there though. "Should we get someone from the Magical Creatures department to deal with her?"

Rufin nodded in approval as Marina sealed the greenhouse entrance. Good, that was one less thing to worry about. "Use magic? I'm sure there's no need for that." he said, raising his eyebrows slightly.
"Good idea, I'll go." he said, catching his coffee as it was about to fall over. "Don't let her out... and put your wand away, we don't want to freak her out any more." He opened the door a tiny bit and slid through quickly, closing it behind him.

Hadley had found directions that the Pygmy Granian had moved to the Environmental Department. Oh gee...
She spotted a few Environmental workers and ran towards them with the food, "I.. I'm Hadley. Atticus told someone to get some food, maybe it would be lured out with it. But I think she must have eaten a great deal when she escaped the Creature Holding Room."
She had no idea what to do with the fruit, insects and dead ferrets she had grabbed up to feed her with. Was she still hungry? Hadley didn't even feel that she wanted to try and re-capture this creature, she didn't look happy.

Marina tucked her wand in the holster. "I don't think she's freaked out because of my wand, though," She shot a look at the man before he went away to bring someone.
Meanwhile, Marina tried to gather as much of paperwork as possible, using her arms at first but since it was no use, she took her wand out again and used it to collect the wasted papers in one pile. With her free hand, she opened a cupboard and stuffed the papers in it temporarily. But that didn't prevent from more paper to float around from higher shelves and places.
With a sigh, she knew this wasn't going to work. But almost instantly, a woman walked in with something in her hands. "Oh! Hi. Well, you came in time. Let's place some of the food on my desk over here.." Marina worked quickly to remove everything from over her desk and levitated it to another desk. "And let's stay as far away from her as possible? Maybe she'll come down to eat?" It made sense to Marina.

almost immediately there was a chaos of wind strewn papers fluttering about the office out of instinct Timbers first reaction was to duck as the pygmy flew past making its way closer to the ceiling.

Rafael didn't have to step out of his office to know their was a creature in his department. He HEARD the damn thing destroying everything it passed.
But he wasn't going to storm out and shot the beast out of the air. No.
He was calm and collected and was going to deal with this in a control manner.
"I don't care how you do it," He'd slipped out of his office and shut the door behind him wand in hand as he cast at the greenhouse doors so they wouldn't open to anyone. "I want that beast out of here now." What was the creatures department doing with a... that thing was too small to have wings.

Yes, aside the Pygmy Granian flying around the room, the wands many of the other people had drawn - including Rafael - were the first things Atticus noticed as he entered the other department's work room. If any of them shot a spell at his little creature, they would suffer huge consequences - he would personally see to it. Atticus wasn't a very vindictive person - until someone messed with his creatures. They were all intelligent people though, so surely they had enough sense not to stun the poor little Granian.
"Putting your wands away might be best." They might be tempted to cast a spell at her if they had them in their hands. Not mention the Pygmy Granian likely was at least a little freaked out by them. She wasn't stupid after all; she had probably noticed the spells that the others had cast, even if they weren't directed at her.

What beast? Marina was about to ask Rafael when he curtly ordered them to get it out. She raised her eyebrows at him, though, when he kept a straight face. He wasn't joking. The woman definitely wasn't going to hurt or cast any kind of spell at the little creature! She took one step closer to try and catch her manually when someone barged into the room.
Atticus! Well, he was one second away from losing his creature to recycling. Heh. Following the man's orders, and finding out that Rufin was actually right about the wands, Marina tucked her wand into the holster. Her eyes gazed up at the Pygmy and stayed tune for any more instructions from either one of them.
There were so many things happening at once - all these white things flying around with her, things moving on their own when the two legged creatures waved those stick things, and many more two legged creatures coming in - and still the Pygmy Granian couldn't find the outside that she KNEW was nearby somewhere. All these things were so distracting! She didn't like it! She circled the room, searching for a way out, but none presented itself to her.
As she neared the area all the two leggeds seemed to be gathering, she noticed the food one of them was holding some food. She wasn't that hungry since she'd just eaten...but it DID still look pretty tasty.
She continued her flight over the group but not without a quick glance at the female two legged one with the food. One of her hooves might've also clipped the shoulder of one of the two who had just entered as she was momentarily distracted.

Rafael's dark eyes cut over to the other Department, and he made a show of putting his wand away. Not like he needed it, but if it would get the bloody creature out faster, then he was all for it.
"Get him out, Atticus." He spoke to the man in a strained tone, doing his best to not just cast at the thing while it was destroying his work spaces in front of him. How did it end up in here anyway? Sigh.

Caitlyn wanted to take out her wand to put the creature into a unharmful bond so that he collegues could get the Pygmy Granian back into it's cage where it belonged. But she realized that may hurt other people. She watched as the creature flew around the room. She took aim at one area in the room and waited for the creature to head in that direction so that she could catch it with her hands when she came around. It wasn't much of a plan but at least it was a plan.

Hadley watched the two bosses discuss Atticus's creature. The poor creature, she must be frustrated, wanting to get out so bad but not being able to see an exit. Hadley put the pile of food down on a desk which had been emptied. She had noticed food crumbs on the floor but wasn't sure it the Pygmy had eaten some or not. Nevertheless even she still ate when she wasn't hungy.
She stepped slowly away from the food to allow a good distance for the Pygmy, but on second thought, "Atticus, do you think I should leave it here on the desk or hold it out for her?" she asked her boss.
If she could hold the food then maybe the Pygmy might eat it from her hands and they could gently guide her back rogue holding area... And make sure there was a fresh and full supply of food for her.

"Her," Atticus corrected Rafael, rubbing his shoulder where the Pygmy Granian's hoof had bumped into it. It hadn't hit hard enough to actually hurt, at least. "She's a female." He was fairly certain that if the Granian was paying any attention to what they were saying, she likely wouldn't appreciate being called a male.
He glanced over at Mrs. Bergeron-McIntyre as she took a place on the other side of the room. Perhaps she thought she would catch the Pygmy Granian? Atticus was a little doubtful, but if nothing else, the creature might turn around and fly back towards their group instead of away.
When Ms. Willowgrass spoke up, Atticus turned to her. Should she continue holding the food or set it on the desk? Hm... "Leave it there for now," he said, walking over and picking up an apple. The Granians he had worked with in the past usually liked apples. Hopefully this Pygmy Granian would be no different. "Let's wait and see how she reacts to this first." If it worked, and she decided she desired food over the escape she was looking for, then this might all be resolved with relative ease. If not...they'd just have to be more creative.
Extending the hand that held the bright, juicy apple, Atticus let out a brief, low whistle to get the Granian's attention. No words necessary. She could figure out what an offering of an apple meant.

Rufin slipped quietly back into the room. He knew there would be little he could do - Granians were very headstrong creatures - but he wanted to be around in case he could help. He stood in front of the door, making an 'is-there-anything-I-can-do' motion at the people already in the room. They seemed to have it relatively under control... good. He glanced at his desk... Oh Merlin... that was going to need a lot of sorting out - and he'd only just finished organising it. His little Draconia was still standing though, luckily. He couldn't bare it if the poor little plant got hurt. He looked back at Atticus who was offering an apple to the creature and stood still, hoping it would work.

Melanie walked around the deparments, looking over to see if the Magical Creatures needed her to help out at the department. "Hello, I'm one of the Maintenance crew. Does this department require help?" she said to one of the workers. They seemed to be quite busy at hand already, but it never hurt to ask them. More people could be better sometimes.

Hadley stood nervous as Atticus held out the apple. She hoped it would work, because she had no idea how to settle the Pygmys. She didn't think it would intentionally cause anyone harm, she was just so frustrated though and accidents do happen. She waited to see what she would do next, keep running or go to the food?

Of course it was a female.
Rafael sighed again and would have said something had this worker that wasn't from either of their departments entered the room. "No help is required from Maintenance." If they needed more help with their current situation, it was from the creature department, and not level one.
He shooed her out with a hand while moving far behind the beast, and with his other hand he drew his wand and sent out a gust of warm air. Hoping to scare her directly towards Atticus.

The Granian continued to fly around as more humans entered the room. Some with food. She took great notice of this and slowed her wings, landing on a far off table to look at the man holding a treat. He was one of the ones that had brought her to this strange place. She flapped her wings, lifting herself over to a closer table, inching closer to the man at her own pace...

Hadley, who had begin to step ever so slowly backwards to give the creature room to get some food from Atticus, now had to scramble backwards and duck as the Pygmy went much faster towards him.
She was brave enough not to yelp, but she didn't want to have a collision with the creature, either.

Atticus let Rafael attend to the Maintenance employee who had just shown up. He needed to keep as still and quiet as possible as he waited for the little Granian to take notice of the apple and to hopefully come over and take it and let herself be led back to the holding room.
And suddenly, she did notice and had begun to slowly make her way towards him. That's right, girl, come to Atti... Come get the tasty apple...

It happened so suddenly and the Pygmy Granian flew so fast that Atticus didn't have time to move out of the way. All he could do was take the split second before the collison to brace himself, and then- THUMP! The air was knocked out of him and he fell flat on his back. The apple he had held rolled out of his grasp. Hopefully the Granian would follow after it without doing anymore damage to him and/or one of the people there would pick it up and continue trying to catch the creature and leading her back to the holding room, as all he could do at the moment was try to get air back into his lungs.
And hopefully no one else would think it wise to shoot a gust of anything at the Granian. Looking at you, Rafael.

"OH MERLIN!" Hadley said loudly as Atticus went down. She was about to see if he was okay, when the apple he was holding rolled out of his hand, towards her. She grasped for it and held it at arms length, trying to coo the Pygmy to it.
"Yumm, tasty apple," she said quietly.
"Are you okay Atticus?" she asked.
Hopefully he could recover before the Pygmy tried to eat the apple from her hands.

Timber had been carefully picking up the chaos of papers and knocked over office supplies while at the same tiime trying to stay out of the way as the creature department head attempted to lure the pygmy out of the enviromental office for a moment it looked to be working until something went wrong and the pygmy seemed to literally plow Atticus over. Timber put his hand on the pot of a near by delicate plant that was wabbling dangerously close to the edge of the desk it was sitting on after the pygmy zoomed past it. once the plant was steady and the winded department head had time to catch his bearings once again. The Granian was slowed by the impact with the tall man that had brung her to this strange place, and she grounded herself, galloping away from all of the other humans (especially from where the gust had come from). Only then did she spot the apple.
Food!
She was hungry after all of this escaping. The creature took cautions steps towards the apple, and when no one attempted to capture her, she snatched it up and gobbled it down.

Though it seemed like hours, it took scarcely a minute for Atticus to finally get enough oxygen in his lungs to speak. "Yeah... I'm fine..." he responded, though his voice was quiet. But Merlin, if this was what it felt like to be hit by a Pygmy Granian, he definitely did not want to be hit by a normal-sized one.

And then a hand was extended to him. He looked up but didn't quite recognize the man. Must be one of Rafael's employees then. Atticus accepted the hand, though, and pulled himself up. "Thanks," he told him with a smile.
Now...for the Pygmy Granian.

So she was hungry. She even followed the direction the apple went...
New idea.
"Follow my lead," he told the other who were helping. Then he grabbed another apple and gently rolled it across the creature's path...which also happened to be in the direction of the door leading back to the Creatures Department side of Level Four.

Now that she had had a nice tasty apple, the Pygmy Granian was ready to continue her esca-
OHHHHH. Was that another tasty apple she saw before her?
But it was rolling away from her! Where was it going? Why wasn't it towards her so she could eat it?
Folding her wings in (as she had been preparing to fly again in order to escape), she trotted after the rolling apple, completely unaware that she was heading for the area she had previously been escaping from.
