The Minister's Office Conference Room serves as a meeting area for the Minister of Magic, Undersecretaries', Advisors, Supervisors, Liaisons, and any other individual or group they need to meet with. Administration at the front desk keeps track of who has scheduled a meeting in the conference room, so you'll need to check in at the front desks for all available times if you need to meet here.
The room is fairly large and features a long, oval-shaped meeting table in the center of the room. A refreshment table lines the left wall, and during the times in which a meeting is scheduled, Administration fills the table with drinks, such as coffee and water, and a wide assortment of pastries and other treats. The right side of the room has been left open and has an adequate amount of space for people to move about or conduct a demonstration.

Esperanza Jordan was so excited to start work in the Minister's Office! As a secretary she was sure she would get to meet all manner of important people. And a party? On the first work day? She was so excited to meet her coworkers!
She was so excited about so many things.
Esper had scoured the memo at least six times in order to determine appropriate attire and when to arrive: a good first impression was a necessity, especially since she would be spending time with these people every day for...a while. How awful would it be to be known as the girl who showed up three hours late on the first day of work? So she was determined to be on time, if not early. Who knows, maybe they needed some help setting up! Was party-planning under her jurisdiction as secretary? She would have to ask.
Nothing could dampen her spirits and the novelty of walking through the Ministry Atrium and going up the lifts to Level One, not the frigid cold weather, not the run in her hose she had to keep repairing, and not the fact that she was the first person to arrive at the party. Uh-oh. She had meant to be early, but not this early.
She couldn't just wait alone, could she? That was awkward, and who knows how long it would be till others arrived? But there was no place else to go...so Esper quietly sat down and poured herself a cup of tea.

When Tiffany got the invitation to the office party she could not have been more excited! Even though people typically dreaded going to work, Tiffany was absolutely and utterly THRILLED. She had hardly gotten a wink of sleep last night due to the constant thought of getting to go in to the ministry for her first day on the job. So it wasn't anything like what she was used to back at Witch Weekly, BUT it was THE FREAKING MINISTRY OF MAGIC.
And she was going to be working as an advisor ON THE FIRST FLOOR. Meaning she'd get to be around THE MINSTER OF MAGIC. So her excitement is totally justified. Mhm. She put together the perfect first day of work ensemble. The cool lilac color was meant to help her relax and her Chanel purse was a MUST. She couldn't possibly imagine experiencing the first day of work without it! AS IF!?!?
Anyways... She skipped towards the conference room, just as the invitation had said. Before entering she quickly straightened out her skirt. She took a quick peek in and noticed that only one other person was in there. Awh. That's kind of a let down. But nope, it would not have any effect on her mood! She cheerfully walked up to the woman and beamed. "Hi there! I'm Tiffany Price," Yep yep. She held out her hand for a shake.

Lawrence was glad to start work and feel important again. Staying with annoying kids over the winter break was about the worst thing he had ever experienced in his life. A party on the first day, that would be a great start for this year, meeting his new and old co-workers and boss.
He had absolutely no sense of fashion, so after asking his sister for help and getting some advice on what to wear this day, Lawrence walked through the lobby and stopped outside the conference room. He checked his watch, making sure that he was not late. Nah, Mr. Isaacs should not be here yet. Walking inside, Lawrence took less than a few strides before stopping again. Two people he did not know. "Who are you?" he asked, looking around to check that this was indeed his level. Oh well then they must be new employees here. "I'm Lawrence Lee." Since the two women were about to shake hands he headed to the meeting table in the middle and sat down.

Ainsley click clacked her way into the conference room. The blonde could only hope that this year would be way less chaotic so she could do her job without having any added difficulties. That wasn't asking too much, she thought.
Her arms were loaded with sweet treats, and she juggled them, trying not to drop anything. She most likely could have made it easier on herself with the use of a little magic, but this way was just fine by her for the moment.
As she made her way in, she beamed at the three people that were already there. Making her way over to the table, she set down an assortment of homemade goodies. There was cauldron cakes, cookies, brownies, and fudge in almost every flavor imaginable.
Now with her free arms she turned to her coworkers. "Hello there. I am Ainsley Scarsdale, and it is a pleasure to meet you." See said to everybody as she made her way to each individual person. The blonde held at her hand, and waited for everybody to take it. "Please help yourselves to some treats that I made from the heart." She hoped they would try them, and even more that they would all like them. She spent hours perfecting everything.

He did have a few things that needed going over in his office before he headed over to the Conference Room so the Senior Undersecretary had opted to get to work a little earlier so he could get it done without running too late for the party. A glance at his clock told him he was making good on time but he wouldn't push it, so after reorganizing the parchments set on his desk Gavin headed over to the Conference Room. By the looks of it his newest employees had already arrived. Punctuality, something he could greatly appreciate in his emlpoyees. Already making good impressions look at that.
Now came the hard part; actually socializing. That would involve him walking around and doing greetings if he remembered correctly. Deciding he'd better get it over with, the man put on a smile, hoping not to look as uncomfortable as he felt. People were never his thing. "Mr. Lee, Ms. Scarsdale, glad to have you both back with us. Good holiday, I hope?" His had been nice enough, he wouldn't deny that.
"Did you bake those yourself?" He asked, gesturing to the treats the woman had with her.
He looked to the women on the other side of the room from him. "Ms. Price, Ms. Jordan, let me officially welcome you to the Minister's Office. I'm Gavin Isaacs." A smile for them too but he wouldn't explain further. Surely they'd done their homework and knew his title. Who showed up to work without knowing who they were working for, right?

Oh, here was everyone! Thank goodness she hadn't had to wait too long. Esper shook the hand of the woman closest to her - Tiffany - and grinned. "I'm Esperanza Jordan," she announced to everyone. "Or you can call me Esper. I'm the new secretary."
She waved to Lawrence, the man who had greeted Tiffany and her in a slightly rude matter. Esper decided not to hold it against him, as he was probably confused by the new faces in his department. Or maybe he was new, too. Or maybe he just had a bad memory...
Esper hurried over to help Ainsley as she set down all the food and treats. "These look wonderful! I didn't know we were supposed to bring anything..."
But she was interrupted by Gavin Isaacs. Wow! She was in the same room as the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister.
She had expected him to be taller.
"Thank you, Mr. Isaacs!" She smiled and crossed over to him, offering a handshake. "I'm so excited to start work in this office, it's such an honor." She noticed he looked slightly unconfortable. Ah well. Probably not her fault, right?
She hoped she wasn't laying it on too thick - after all, she was just a secretary. But it was still an honor!

Though she was sad to leave Witch Weekly, she had moved on to bigger and better things. And this would be just the beginning. Hopefully she could even use this job as a pushing off point! Oooh! Just as Tiffany started introductions with the only other woman in the room, she heard the door opening. OOOOH GOODY! ANOTHER ARRIVAL! She could feel her heart doing that boom-ba-doom-boom thing. Maybe this is Mr. Gavin Isaacs? AKA the new boss! Her excitement could not be contained because SO HAPPY TO BE HERE, duh.
Who are you. UHUM, excuse moi? RUDE. The real question is, 'Who are YOU', but she'd keep this to herself for the time being... Because if this man was her boss, then she'd need to make a good first impression. Yep. They hadn't technically met in person... Even though he had probably read through her application. Either way she'd control herself. But just then the man corrected himself with an introduction. Good. That's more like it. Lawrence Lee? Oh. So he wasn't Mr. Gavin Isaacs or Mr. Gavin or Mr. Isaacs or what would be the best way to address your new boss? Uhum...
Uhuuum anyways. Tiffany momentarily took her attention off of the woman she was introducing herself to, in order to turn to this other man. "Hey! Ahem, I mean, Hello, I'm Tiffany Price," Oops. Need to be professional. This isn't a real party after all... MHM. Totally professional.
SPOILER!!: Ainsley & AH FOOD

OOOH ANOTHER ARRIVAL! Tiffany was SUPER thankful for that. Two was definitely not a party and neither was three. But four? They could totally make that work... AND FOOD!? Okay, they could DEFINITELY make this work. She quickly ran up to the new woman who had introduced herself as Ainsley and gave her a huge smile. "I'm Tiffany Price, it's SO nice to meet you!" she said giggling.
Oh, from the heart? That's SO sweet. Except... They all looked like sweets. Uh oh. The brunette didn't want to be rude, but she also didn't want extra calories. She had A WHOLE OMELET this morning!? But alas... she didn't want this woman to think that she was rejecting her baking. And first impressions. Sigh. Tiffany walked over to the table where everything had been set down. What was the smallest thing she could take? Goodness. Couldn't people bring some celery to parties or something? Hm. She'd have to bring a vegetable tray next time.
Deciding on the cookies, she grabbed a small one off the plate. "This is so sweet of you," she told the woman with a smile. "Everything looks so delicious," and unhealthy. But shhh, she wouldn't say a word about that. Instead she took a bite of her cookie. A whole omelet and now a cookie!? Boy, was she really letting herself go. Tiffany made a mental note to remember to go out for an extra long jog tonight. Her usual 8 Kilometers weren't going to cut it after eating cookies. "I'm so excited to start this new job!" she revealed in between bites. Small talk small talk doing some small talk.
SPOILER!!: Mr. Boss eeeep!

Lawrence was SAVED. By his colleague arriving to the party - with food! It was going to be really awkward with the three people. Now Lawrence was not a food-lover, but he still stood up and walked towards Ainsley. "Good morning, Ainsley." He greeted, smiling. Then reaching towards the plate in the middle, he grabbed a brownie and took a bite out of it. It was delicious. Swallowing, Lawrence complimented, "You have a decent baking skill, Ainsley."
Turning to one of the new women, the ministry advisor said with a serious expression, "Please. Don't talk when you're eating." Everyone knows new people are excited for their new jobs.

"Good morning, Mr. Isaacs, it's good to see you again." he said, returning the smile. "Yes sir, it was good, I hope yours was pleasant too." No it was not good at all but who was he to talk to his boss like that?

A wave? That's it, really? Lawrence mentally raised an eyebrow. An introduction to an unfamiliar person was kinda mandatory to him, but he could tell through this new lady's conversation with others that her name was... Esper, secretary. Okaaaay. It was good to get to know people better. "Oh and uh, welcome to Level one." he said casually to Esper.

Lawrence could not read minds. If people thought that he was being rude he could not tell. But was that woman disappointed when he introduced himself? Probably expected that he was the minister himself which he hoped he would become one day.
"Hello Ms. Price, or Tiffany if you prefer it." He preferred to call people by Mr. or Ms. Last name but most of the time the other people preferred to be called by their first name. He could never understand this. "Welcome to the Minister of Magic's office. May I ask what division you are in?"

Party! She was looking forwards to this one. And she'd missed her job during the break and what a better way to start off again than with a party. It felt good to be returning to her job. Since last year it'd been coming to a new one. Now she wasn't one of the new ones anymore. Not to mention that her first arrive wasn't the most pleasant since they weren't really in the ministry building, but why to think about that now, it was better left behind them.
And regardless of how much she was excited, which wasn't a lot nor a little, it didn't show anything on Lavone's face. Hers was composed as ever. You never knew what was going on inside her head. If anything she appeared like it was a regular day at the office, not like her first since a while. Those were the looks but she did feel the new atmosphere deep inside and she liked and welcomed it.
After dropping by her office quickly she headed to the conference room where the party was taking place.
Lavone slipped into the room and her eyes did a quick scan of the faces. Her lips twitched in a small polite smile. "Hello, everyone," she said greeting the lot whom she recognized some of and assumed the rest to be new. "Lavone Calverley," She introduced herself. She felt like she wanted to get to know her colleagues whom she didn't get to know better over the last year as well as be introduced to the new ones. Probably one of her position's negatives, as a personal assistant for the Senior Undersecretary that she had to be by his side all the time which might not allow much time to work with the others on the same level as her.
And speaking of which. The young woman stepped closer to her boss and nodded. "Good day, sir, I hope you had a pleasant holiday," She might or might have not known most of that, being an assistant and all. But she was being polite.

It didn't bother him too much when she crossed the floor, nor did it when she offered her hand. Though the man hated the gesture, he'd grown accustomed to it after nearly two years on this level that was known for its formality. Handshakes, he hated whoever invented them but they were expected and Gavin gave a firm but brief shake of Ms. Jordan's hand.
"I'm glad to hear it." He said with a chuckle. An honour working on his level? There was something he didn't hear everyday, though it made sense, them working the closest with the Minister himself. "I trust you'll put that enthusiam toward your work. We've hit a bit of a trouble with our Secretaries in recent months and with the start of the new work year it'll be good to have the added support." Merlin yes. Such a...chirpy one, wasn't she? Gavin regarded the woman with a touch of curiosity, trying to place her in his memory because he had seen her before. For the moment he let her ramble on while he rattled his memory that was proving to be a little fuzzy. Finally, it his him and his lips quirked up in amusement.
"I believe we've already met, though not officially so it's good we can remedy this." Oh yes, he remembered her and Stephen down by the mirrors. Poor lady. He had wondered how she managed to find herself under the sway of someone like his bestmate but he'd been too caught up in his own image to think much of it. "Mirrors can be awfully distracting as they've proven to be."
Ah but she'd heard great things about the workers here? "I'm not surprized. They're a hard working group of individuals. Hung in there through the mutants and the lock out." Horrid time that was.

No it was not good at all but who was he to talk to his boss like that?
"Likewise Mr. Lee." As odd as it was for a man who disliked people, he actually thought it was good seeing his employees again. They'd grown on him somehow. "Glad to hear it was good. Spent with family?" Depending on the type of family you had, it could be a good thing, yes? Not everyone suffered from the dysfuntion that could befall a family.

Ah and there was his PA now. She of all people would have known about this considering she'd been charged to get in contact with the Event Coordinator on the level. With the understaffing of Secretaries it had become for the best that he spare his Personal Assistant for the good of the level.
"Good morning Ms. Calverley. Yes it was wonderful. The venues you suggested were top notch, my 7 year old sends her approval." He replied, the look of amusement on his face yet again. There wasn't a moment that they were in France that Avery didn't enjoy.
"And you? I trust you had a good holiday as well?"

It was excellent to be back in the Ministry building again, and there was an absolute spring in Albert Kettleburn's step as he entered the conference room and took a look around at his employees. His employees in his office in his Ministry. All was well with the world again.
They even had some shiny new toys, thanks to some careful investment and trade programs Albert had Gavin look into.
He wanted punch. Was there punch? It was a bit sweet for his tastes, but today, of all days, Albert deserved a cup of punch. MERLIN, was there CAKE? "Gavin!"

"Hello Ms. Price, or Tiffany if you prefer it." He preferred to call people by Mr. or Ms. Last name but most of the time the other people preferred to be called by their first name. He could never understand this. "Welcome to the Minister of Magic's office. May I ask what division you are in?"
Tiffany thought about it carefully... Ms. Price? Or Tiffany? Well she was all professional now, right? So she should go by Ms. Price and make things all official! "Tiffany is absolutely perf!" Naaaaaah. Ms. Price sounds WAY too old. Mhm. And way not her. Besides she loved her name. And the brand. Her favorite Tiffany bracelet was dangling on her slim wrist to prove it.
What division? OH that was easy! "I'm an advisor!" MMHM. She had read over her job description, like, fourteen times. Need to be extra prepared, yah know? Then she lifted an eyebrow as she looked curiously at the man in front of her. "What division are YOU in?" Maybe they'd be working in close proximity or something? Or together? Or... yeah she'd just wait for the answer... All this thinking was making her hungry, but she really didn't want to eat another sweet snack. She'd just wait to eat her salad later. No need to pack on extra calories. EW.
SPOILER!!: Gavin
[QUOTE=DaniDiNardo;11627277] Such a...chirpy one, wasn't she?
Tiffany noticed another new arrival out of the corner of her eyes. AH, she was just ITCHING to go introduce herself, but considering that she was now speaking to her boss... that'd be rude. And not recommended. So she'd have to get to that woman later. Keeping her attention on her boss she couldn't help but notice how familiar this man looked. She hadn't recognized the name when she read the letter, but after seeing him... He looked SO familiar. Had they met before or something?
And then as if on cue, the man answered her questions. Oh. So they had met? But not officially? What. Mirrors? Huh? What was this man-- OH WAIT! The gala! Of course! She should've known. This was the guy who just stood in the corner and didn't really say much of anything. Oh no! Had she been professional then? Because if this man actually did remember the mirror room, then this wasn't her first impression, THAT WAS. Meaning that whatever he noticed there made the impact. AH! THE INTIMIDATION IS SO REAL RIGHT NOW!
But wait. That means that he saw her amazingly beautiful ensemble for the night. So if all else fails... At least she looked presentable? "Oh my goodness! I completely forgot about that," she admitted with a chuckle. Well that wasn't completely true... But it wasn't a lie either... "Yes, I... I guess they are," she smiled this time.
Well this was slightly awkward... Tiffany hadn't really prepared much else to say... She was nervously trying to find something else to talk about when he spoke once again, PHEW! "I heard about all the trouble the ministry had! It must have been very difficult to deal with," The infestation. The rubble. It must have been chaotic. "Hopefully things will run much more smoothly around here now, and I fully intend to help make things easier in any way that I can!" Basically that was an 'Aye aye, at your service!'
Second impressions can be everything too?

OH MYGOSH! Was that THE minister of magic? Yes, technically the first floor is known as the minister's office, buuut it was hard to recall that she, Tiffany Price, would actually get to work with the man himself! It was totally cool and she was totally star struck. It's not every day where you get to go to an office party with THE minister. Like woaaah.
She spared absolutely no time to go up and introduce herself. You could call her an eager beaver... She put on her best smile and flattened out her skirt as she made her way over. "Hello, Mr. Minister Kettleburn.. Sir," What? "I'm Tiffany Price, I'm very grateful to have joined your wonderful staff," and dazzling smile for the finish!

SPOILER!!: Gavin
There was Gavin. She didn't see much of him last year,, but that was to be expected considering the mayhem that the ministry was in. "It's lovely to see you as well." Ainsley didn't do much on her holidaym but that was what she wanted. "It was perfect. I hope yours was well."
Oh goody, he noticed the treats. "I did actually. I just love to bake. I am hoping to get a garden going soon so I can try my hand at some veggie dishes." You couldn't get any fresher than pulling cucumbers out of your very own garden, and that sounded delightful.
SPOILER!!: Esper
"It's a pleasure to meet you Esperanza." What a pretty name that was. She seemed sweet, and it nice people were always welcomed around her. It should made her day better when she was able to work with people who weren't so grumpy. Esper it is then. Welcome to the team.
"Oh no dear, you didn't have to bring anything. I just love to bake and thought that I would share." It was nothing really. She didn't want people to feel bad for not bringing anything. That was just how she operated.
SPOILER!!: Tiffany
This one was sweet and energetic, how refreshing. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well Tiffany. I look forward to working with you."Weren't nice people so awesome? Ainsley definitely thought so. The blonde only hoped that everybody would remain this way as the work year went on.
Ainsley blushed at the words sweet. "Thank you kindly. It really wasn't any trouble." Sure, it had taken her awhile to do everything, but when it was something that you enjoyed it didn't matter. Ainsley was genuinely pleased at the response of her treats.
"What is it that you will be doing?" Yeah, Ainsley kind of briefed herself on everybody and their job descriptions, but it was still good manners to ask and see what the person had to say.
SPOILER!!: Lawrence
[COLOR="DarkSlateBlue"]
"And there was a familiar face. "Good morning Lawrence. It's so great to see you again." Was everybody going to be new the year? Not that it really mattered though, because Ainsley did enjoy meeting people.
Oh good. He too was eating some of her treats. Blushing once more she responded with "Thank you! That's so nice of you to say." What a sweet man. Wait a minute! What did he just say to the new employee? That was rude. She was just about to open her mouth to defend her when somebody else caught her attention and made her lose her train of thought.
SPOILER!!: Lavone
This one seemed familiar, and she was almost certain that she had seen her around last year but she wasn't sure if they had officially met or not. Ainsley had a very good memory so this struck her as a bit odd. Walking over to the woman she held out her hand. "Lavone right? Pardon me, but I'm not sure if we have officially met." She almost said that considering the mess the ministry was in last year, but decided to keep that little tid bit to herself for now.
SPOILER!!: Minister
It was excellent to be back in the Ministry building again, and there was an absolute spring in Albert Kettleburn's step as he entered the conference room and took a look around at his employees. His employees in his office in his Ministry. All was well with the world again.
They even had some shiny new toys, thanks to some careful investment and trade programs Albert had Gavin look into.
He wanted punch. Was there punch? It was a bit sweet for his tastes, but today, of all days, Albert deserved a cup of punch. MERLIN, was there CAKE? "Gavin!"
It was then that the minister of magic himself came in. "Good morning sir." She did not want to ramble and seem like she was trying to suck up or anything, which her kindness often came out seaming like sometimes.
Did he want some treats? Ainsley knew that he could see the treats laid out so if he wanted some he could get some. Why was she so nervous? The blonde had already worked with the man for two years now.

"Hello, Mr. Minister Kettleburn.. Sir," What? "I'm Tiffany Price, I'm very grateful to have joined your wonderful staff," and dazzling smile for the finish!
Oh, new employees! Albert smiled at his new young employee with delight, offering her a hand as she approached. Her excitement was palpable, and Albert appreciated that enthusiasm. Being an employee for the Ministry of Magic was very exciting, yes. Being a member of this staff was doubly so.
"It's my pleasure, Miss Price. We certainly have need of your expertise, and I hope Gavin is making you welcome. Are you finding everything you need?"

And another employee had greeted him. This one was familiar, however, and Albert gave her a warm smile. It was easy to be nice to his staff, honestly, since they were all so competent and good at what they did. He might be hard on some of the other employees in the building, and very hard on his Department Heads, but he thoroughly enjoyed those who worked for him directly.
"Ainsley, my dear. How was your time off for the holiday? I hope you spent it with loved ones." She didn't need to look so nervous. He didn't bite, except perhaps fake bites for his grandbabies.

The minister himself used dear, see Gavin. Ainsley loved using terms of endearment. It made people feel appreciated and welcomed. Gavin would just have to learn to love it because she had no intentions of holding her love back for anyone.
"It was lovely, and very relaxing." Which is what she needed after last year. "I hope yours was well." She often wondered what the man did in his spare time. Of course she often worried about those kind of things with several people. It came with her job. Ainsley realizing once more that Mr. Kettleburn was a person just like her, she visibly relaxed.

At first he didn't notice the entrance of the Minister amidst the employees. Too many to keep track of for a man that easily failed at social gatherings. They weren't his place. The Senior Undersecretary turned slightly at the sudden calling of his name. Was there something he needed?.....No, this was a party, a welcome back party. Gavin had to remember that. "Albert!" Gavin turned fully until he was facing the man and in a position to offer a hand shake if necessary.
"Help yourself to some of the sweets Ms. Scardale brought. I heard they're homemade." Which admittedly didn't inspire much confidence with the man but that was just his own general mistrust of people.

Second impressions can be everything too?
Events had a funny way of letting you meet your employees before you could get them into a more formal setting. He for one found it refreshing, a change to the atmostphere that sometimes settled on this level as he'd realized during his first meeting in which they insisted on last name basis only out of professionalism. Gavin wasn't one for rapport anyway so it didn't bother him too much and he was quite accustomed to not referring to them by their first names.
"Outside of the mirror gallery, did you enjoy the event?" It had been for them afterall. Carefully planned and thrown together within certain time constraints. After so many chaotic twists and turns he and the others had decided some normalcy would be appreciated. For him it was, though it didn't seem like Emily was enjoying herself all that much. "Heard there was a Quidditch Gallery but never got a look for myself." And look at that, Mr. Anti-Social was making small talk. This was meant to be in history books!
As far as all the trouble went, they were already trying to ensure they didn't have repeats. Did he think they would have uneventful years entirely? No but he did know they were cracking down on things that could go wrong. "Rest assured we've already checked and double checked the building. Everything seems in tip top working order and we're looking to have a productive year filled with quite a few projects." Some that would be requiring assistance from Level 1 but they could get into that later, this was a party.

There was something he hardly heard, a vacation that was perfect. His hadn't been bad but he wouldn't call it perfect. Too many external factors around making things easily worse than they should have been. "Mine was well spent, yes." That's how he'd describe his, well spent. He enjoyed it and so did the people closest to him.
"A garden? Interesting. Have you thought of taking a stop in Enviromental Protection? I think the Department Head might have a few useful tips and gadgets that could get you started on a lovely garden." He wasn't one for that sort of thing himself but he knew others were and it seemed the logical choice. Otherwise she could consult books...or her own expertise. If she could bake, who was he to assume she was no good at gardening? He could only hope she didn't take offense.

Tiffany quietly continued taking small bites of the cookie. That way she wouldn't be caught with a huge mouthful before she had to speak. It was a tip she learned over the years. Ah. She was good at this. Speaking of which, it was her turn to speak once again. See? The trick worked because she didn't have to go speaking with her mouth full! "Oh, of course I look forward to working with you as well! It'll be a lot of--" She wanted to say fun... But would that be unprofessional? Were they allowed to have fun? Fun wasn't on the job description... No. She had to watch herself. Be professional. "I mean, it'll be super enjoyable to be working around such nice people!" Better?
Would would she be doing? Working in the minister's office of course. Level one. Didn't Ainsley already know that? Wasn't she... oh wait. She was talking about her position. Well duhhh. "Oh, I'm going to be an advisor! I'm very excited." Even though she really didn't know what advisors did... Besides the job description of course. That much was given. "What position are you in?" Should she have done her research or something? Nah. It would've been creepy.

Hm. Exactly what had she been doing in the hall of mirrors? When she had unofficially met her boss. Who she didn't know would be her boss? It was kind of hard trying to remember all the bits and pieces of the night. Mostly because she chose not to remember much of it, other than her outfit. It had been rather dull for her. She was stuck babysitting someone's random kid for a while. Then the mirrors where she met some stuck up lady. And honestly it was kind of lonely without having an escort. She'd have to keep that in mind next time. Escorts are a must. Especially when you don't know anyone.
Yet, when Mr. Isaacs asked her about the night, she felt the need to lie. To reassure him that it was wonderful. Of course the venue was beautiful and everything looked so nice. She didn't want to let him down. "Oh, it was wonderful," she said with a smile. "The food was magnificent and everyone seemed to enjoy the venue." She didn't have much to say about anything else though. Quidditch Gallery? They had one of those? Man. Maybe if she hadn't spent so much time with that stupid baby, she could've had more of an opportunity to explore. "Oh, I actually didn't get to go see that either. I wish I had," meh. Not really. Quidditch was only fun to watch because the players were fun to watch, if-you-know-what-she-means. "I was, er, tied down with other distractions during the dinner, but I'm sure it was fabulous, like the rest of it was!" She was trying to be encouraging. Because she could tell that there was a lot of work put into the gala.
Tiffany smiled as he reassured her of the damage control. Well that was a relief! She did not want to have to work with any infestations on the loose. That would've been chaotic to say the least. "Oh, I'm glad." It was good to see that the ministry was back on its feet again. "With the infestation it sounded like a lot of stress, but I can see that it was dealt with quite well! The place looks wonderful," she was talking about level one of course. She hadn't had a chance to walk around the rest of the ministry yet. Hopefully they were all okay too.
SPOILER!!: Mister Minister XD

"It's my pleasure, Miss Price. We certainly have need of your expertise, and I hope Gavin is making you welcome. Are you finding everything you need?"
Woah. It really was the Minister of Magic himself. In the flesh. Right there. Shaking her hand. It was real. See back at Witch Weekly, she did have to interview countless celebrities of course, but never the Minister! He was like, THE celebrity. And SHE was going to get to work with HIM. Wow, Coco was right! Good things do happen to people with a good sense of fashion!
Tiffany smiled as Mr. Minister Kettleburn said her name. HER NAME. Fighting the urge to fangirl was getting more and more difficult by every passing moment. But she refrained from doing so. She'd just have to call one of her friends up and talk to them about it all when she got home! yeah. That'd be a good plan. Tiffany blushed as he mentioned the need for HER expertise. Never in a million years would she have thought that she'd get the opportunity to work for THE Minister of Magic. Weird. "Oh of course, Mr. Isaacs is great!" It felt weird to call her boss by his first name. So Mr. Isaacs it is. "And everything is lovely, everyone is so welcoming here."
Then she looked over at the sweets that Ainsley had brought with her. "Would you like me to get you anything, Sir? Ainsley brought some wonderful sweets! I recommend the cookies," Maybe he'd eat them all so that she wouldn't have to take anymore. The cookies was delicious don't get her wrong. She just couldn't afford to eat anymore. She had a figure to watch, duh.

Zach was punctual as always except for the fact that he needed to drop by his office to check on the paperwork that was piling in there. The problem with being and having a holiday is that paperwork does not go for a holiday. He shook his head. He was never a party person, well, he was a party person but today is not the right day for it, or so he thinks. Oh well he might as well socialize.
He saw the Minister and the Senior Undersecretary who looks rather happy to be back and greeting people. He approached them and said,

"Good day, Minister, Mr Senior Undersecretary, Sir" looking at one after the other. "I hope both had a lovely time over the holidays?" he said directing the questions to his superiors.
He then looked around to see some familiar faces and some new recruits.

SPOILER!!: Gavin
Ainsley nodded as he talked about his vacation. Gavin wasn't exactly the warmest person so she figured in Gavin language "well spent" was equivalent to nice.
"What a fantastic idea. I will have to pop in over there soon and see what tips I can get." This whole garden thing was seeming more and more fun as the minutes ticked by. "I need to put some faces to names anyways." Oh, she would have to do some baking first. Ainsley never liked meeting someone empty handed. The blonde had a hard time trying to contain her excitement. She could just squeal with delight right now.
SPOILER!!: Tiffany
Her cookies were a hit, and that just made her beam even more. She wanted Lawrence to see how well Tiffany was doing with not talking when her mouth was full so he could see how out of line he was for his comment. It looked like he was caught up in a different conversation though. Oh well. Ainsley had a feeling that her co-worker wanted to say fun, and Ainsley wouldn't disagree with that. "I couldn't agree more." Nice people were the best.
An advisor? "How lovely." Of course she didn't know Tiffany all that well, but she had a feeling that she would be great at that position. It was all in her attitude. "I think you are going to make a admirable advisor." It seemed like they could work together and that would make Ainsley's job easier. "I am a media liaison." She just had to try REALLY hard to keep stories that weren't favorable to the ministry out of print.
SPOILER!!: Zach... not sure if you meant to quote me, but hiiiii

As Ainsley looked around she saw yet another familiar face. Maybe it wouldn't be all new people this year after all. "Hello there Zach. Hope your holiday was well." Did he want some treats?
Heather hadn't really mingled much lately but it felt good to stretch her legs and get back to what was the real world. She had remained silent and just nodded hello to everyone and listened to what everyone was saying or talking about, and that was just in her nature. She was sociable, but she just had it in her to listen for a minute and put name with faces.
She didn't bother with food or drink just listening. To everything. And watching....everything.

Was it weird that she was super pumped for work? Ever since she got the owl from Mister Senior Undersecretary, she couldn't help but feel super giddy about getting to work at THE ministry of magic. It was just so exciting! Especially working on the same floor as the minister. Wow. That's when you know, huh? "Oh, thank you! Tiffany replied with a small giggle. "I really hope so because I don't really have a back up plan!" She could probably get her way back into Witch Weekly again, but after she had left, she'd be embarrassed asking for her old job back. No. She would not dare going down to that kind of level. Asking for her old job back. Pft. No. She was beyond that. Better than that. She was THE Tiffany Price.
"Media liaison..." Tiffany repeated curiously. That sounded fun! Well... Not that fun, but still, it had to be interesting. "That must be straining, what sorts of things do you have to deal with?!" There were probably a bunch of crazy stories out there. Of course, she wouldn't know, thanks to the media liaison of course.
As Tiffany's eyes wondered around the room for just a moment, she noticed a woman who was just... standing there? Oh, well they couldn't have that! It was Tiffany's goal, of course, to meet ALL her new colleagues! This quiet one, included. Of course there had been some others she had missed because they were engaging in other conversations, but this woman she was all alone! Perfect opportunity. Turning to Ainsley again, Tiffany gave a small nod towards the woman who was standing there so silently. Taking a step towards her, Tiffany called out, "Hi there, I'm Tiffany. You should come join Ainsley and I, her cookies are delicious," and calorie ridden, ahem, but that was besides the point because she was trying to make friends with these people. They were all going to be working together anyways. The other ministry employees, eh she could be unfiltered with them. But these people, they'd end up being her family right?

Joćo entered the room at 7.55 sharp. He sat somewhere randomly in the middle. He didn't want to be in the centre or anything. His hair was still short, but at least it looked like he had a new hair-cut. He did, in a way. He looked his most sullen, but nothing suggested that he was less effective.
He brought out papers and stuff to take notes, and waited for others to arrive.
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
He'd had some last minute things to run over in his office but that didn't mean he'd allow himself to be late for his own meeting, especially not when the memo had said sharp after that 8 am. A part of him figured he should have made it later but no, one had to show up early on the first day, it said a lot about you.
Entering the Conference Room, he was pleasantly surprized to see Mr. Neves already seated.
"Good morning Mr. Neves. Looking sharp. Is that a new hair cut?" He made his way over to the small table and poured himself a cup of coffee. Not as good as Level 3 but he liked it and it was far safer than the coffee down pass that hole in the wall Emily had him try.
"Would you like any while we wait?"

Lara was pretty sure she was the first one to be here in the ministry. She needed to get in the zone and know all the things before the meeting began. She wanted to be in the know and not a clueless new employee which she actually was. She hadn't been a long employee for a long time, even an employee at that. Once she got to the ministry she thought of getting her boss coffee, doughnuts, cookies and other types of pastries to see which type did he prefer. For future reference. But then she thought it would be best to delay it.
The blonde was keeping an eye out on the conference room entrance, so when she saw Mister Isaacs nearing the door she was right there behind him in a beat. A fast walker she was.
Once he entered she was right there next to him. "Good morning," she said. Next, her eyes cast a general look around to see that only one was present. And since she wanted to be known and pass the 'new' label she figured it would be best to introduce herself. "Lara Black," she nodded at the other man. "New PA,' Obviously. She was the man's shadow, better get used to her.
Lara waited till her boss was seated and picked the seat right next to him. He already had coffee, she wanted to know which type was it. Could she maybe sniff it? Taste it? Would that be too weird. She better not.
"Need me to go grab anything from the office, Sir?" She asked. When was she going to get tasks done.
