Abandoned HMS Royal ArthurThe Department of Accidents and Catastrophes still needs a place to get their work done, and this old naval school seems to fit the bill.
Kennedy rubbed the back of his neck. Either there was a draft in here or his Ken-senses were tingling. Or there was a fly incredibly infatuated with his neck hairs.
Brownie points?
That was Emily's voice! Totally her, but...where was she? Most importantly, she did mean edible brownies, yeah? Not like Brown-y points. Get it?
Following her voice his eyes stopped when she appeared next to the instructor guy - Jenkins, right. He nodded at what she said. Blending in with muggles was easy - something he did pretty often - but charms were his best friend when it came to evading them. He stared at her brush in her hand. Were they going to be painting? He was terrible at that. Hopefully she liked stick figures.
The YATI frowned a little in surprise. She'd gone around and...marked people? Ha. Poor idi--
Crap. There was a red dot on his elbow. Had this been real life he'd be dead and probably floating in some random lake or blown to pieces, or be missing an arm. Shamefully, but not demonstrating it, Kennedy squared his shoulders and stepped forward.
Sebastian did see the announcement about this thing going on Accidents and Catastrophes and he was running late. Honestly its not his fault that he got lost finding the Abandoned HMS Royal Arthur. Its been a while since he was in England so his memory about this country was a bit rusty.
When he entered the gymnasium, a lot of people already there including his co-worker, Alex. The Oceanologist was leaning against the wall and listening to the man in front who explained to them about the recent event in the Ministry. Then the man asked them a question about how to evade muggles. Somehow that question made him feel like he was back in school once again. He was not a-know-it-all kind of person when he was in school and he's certainly wouldn't start being one now.
Then one of the instructor talked about disillusionment, transfiguration, blending in with muggle attire, and etc...etc...etc...
Red paint? Elbow? Sebastian quickly checked his elbows. Nope. No red paint here.

Edward looked around for his boss. It seemed interesting and he saw people looking at their elbows and rubbing at them. He glanced at his elbows and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary and wandered about the room, still looking for Mr. Ashby so he could at least be acknowledged for his presence at this training.

"We're going to start by playing a little game, getting you evading and the like. Charles' eyes lifted when he saw someone brandishing a brush that had red paint on it. They narrowed immediately and he stepped forward, GLARING at the woman. "This is my favourite suit. This had better come off." He didn't care WHO she was, she shouldn't be violating his personal space or clothes. He stiffened his back and looked at the woman, obviously displeased. He'd worked with muggles for long enough to not slip up and expose their world. Most muggles didn't tend to invade your personal space, or try to talk to you. If you walked around with your chin up and snubbing them, you'd get along well in London.

Oliver was a good sport for getting things started in terms of evasion. Emily didn't have the patience for introductions and hands up to talk thing. She was far beyond schooling. Plus, it gave her the opportunity to mess around, paint dots on peoples elbows and observe them up close and from a distance without them even noticing. A clueless bunch, weren't they?
It was a decent turn out, and she was pleased to see that MLE were well represented, needless to say, she wouldn't have been pleased if they had missed this.

She wasn't surprised. Okay not so surprised that this was really a disguise for MLE to give them training as her boss joined Emily giving Jade a wink in the process. She shook her head at that-- Bossman didn't miss anything. He was a little creepy that way. Although Jade thought that Oliver would have given an semi-not boring lecture. Not that she would tell him that.
Magical means to evade being spotted by muggles was a good idea but really what was wrong with telling wizards to also wear muggle clothing when out among them and not to mention anything magic?! That was her way of evading detection. But she had to admit to herself that this training was looking to be really fun.
And she checked her elbow just in case. Nope no red paint if that is what that red glowy colour was.
She looked around to see who would step up and show their red elbow.

The smile on the woman turned department head turned more amusing and Simon relaxed. They were in full ministry work mode and not lingering on what happened or might have happened over the holiday break. "Its likely in the cards," he answered with a nod. "One of the tasks of security is to check everything out. Even harder now but..." he broke off with a shrug. It was his job and he would do it to the best of his ability.
"At least its bright and airy, unlike the underground we're in." A place that hadn't been modified by the charms that allowed some comfort in the ministry's true come despite being underground as well.
Mariel's amused smile eased into a friendly grin as Simon expressed the likelihood of his visiting her department. Hers was one a little more remote than some of the others and it was easy to feel isolated. Not that she was exactly the social butterfly, especially when there were more important matters to tend to regarding her job, but she certainly wouldn't mind the occasional visitor, especially when that person's job was to somehow benefit her own workspace. "We'll certainly look forward to it then," she returned in kind. "I'm certain we could do with a security check and have a few spells put into place." It certainly wasn't what she was used to, but they were making do the best they could as she was sure everyone else was. The brunette nodded her understanding, knowing the challenges of all the departments as of late.
"I suppose that's true," Mariel agreed with a light shrug. She wasn't so sure she'd enjoy being underground any more than she loved her condemned airplane hangar, though she didn't know the conditions of his location either. It could very well be cleaner for all she knew. And warmer. "A little too airy, perhaps. February is a bit too cold for that large open space. I've cast some heating charms but I really need to see about getting someone from Climate Control out there." Not his area of expertise, she knew, just where the conversation had led. In fact, she had quite a few work orders to put in and Merlin knew how long they would take knowing most of the other departments would need the same things.

Anthony's stance was casual and easy, the playful remarks rolling off his tongue with superficial meaning. He wasn't running this show today...So, it was nice to relax and enjoy himself. Among friends. Perhaps.
Eyes flicking back to Mariel, his amusement was clear. "The pleasure is all mine...and yes, I did start keeping a running list of patronuses." He shook his head, a tinge of annoyance creeping into his voice, though he wasn't annoyed at all. As a leader in various capacities over the years, it was true he'd never been worked over so hard...but it was also disguised opportunity. Reasons made that bearable.
To humor her comment about his style, Anthony broke away from Victoria and offered a manly twirl, showing off his clothing. "I enjoy my suits." He grinned widely, glancing downward. "...and those are fierce shoes." There was a pause. "I'm equally fascinated and impressed that you were able to survive muggle transportation and walking the short distance here in those shoes. Kudos to you, Miss, for still standing."
Women...How insane you all are.

All she wanted was her bed and possibly a small break, but neither were happening anytime soon so if this thing could just get on its way that would be nice. “Don’t worry they’ll probably be here soon. Most of us aren’t use to this muggle transportation they probably took the wrong bus or something.” She forced a laugh which sounded to forced so she stopped. She hated how forced she was in every situation anymore. She just wanted things back to normal, but it didn’t seem possible anymore.
“Oh Anthony I know you will miss her looking at you, but don’t worry you’ll find a new girl to stare at you soon enough.” He really wasn’t that bad to look at so she wouldn’t be surprised. He was wearing his best what? She did give a curios eye, what man new those type of names. She had appreciated him actually noticing her when her old boss clearly had been ignoring, plus he did seem to have a sense of humor. She just wished she could enjoy it more. “So how long is this thing going to last, do either of you know?” They were department heads they should know things like this, right? Then there was a twirl? Another curious look came over her. Was he? Nah she threw the thoughts off and even if he was she didn’t care. Looking down at Mariel’s shoes she did envy the woman to still care to wear those. Her own flats weren’t looking as nice anymore, but meh effort she just didn’t have it. Since the other two seemed to be conversing now she took the time to blend into the dirty old chair again.
Victoria looked around while Mariel and Anthony talked when she noticed another G&S employee. She gave Langen a wave. If the girl wanted to come over she could.
Sure, Mariel could agree with that, not fond at all of the public bus rides she had to endure. "That's a possibility," she told Victoria with a shrug. If it hadn't been for the past couple weeks she had gotten used to the bus in addition to the map she had pored over she could have very well gotten on the wrong bus or off at the wrong stop. She could give them a few minutes leeway, but honestly they had ample time to get used to Muggle transportation as well having to use it for work now. And that didn't explain something odd to Mariel. "Didn't Charely come with you?" Something seemed very off to her lately and, while there could be very good reason that the woman's fiance was nowhere in Mariel's immediate line of vision, the fact that they weren't together only heightened her supposition.
Tilting her head back towards Anthony, she offered him an appreciative nod. Manners, this one had, and she thought more in the Ministry could take a note there. An amused smile grew at his words however, though she certainly could relate to any annoyance that might be underlying. The faultiness so rampant in the Ministry last year frustrated her to no end and she wasn't the one who would ultimately be responsible for fixing the messes. "That would not surprise me in the slightest," she managed a chuckle, imagining his department probably got sick of seeing them. "I'm certain you have no shortage of challenges this year either though even without the regular patronus." Of course they'd have their own set of difficulties as did every department now, but she'd also expect at least the maintenance side to at least have a hand into solving their lockout problems as well. Another reason why she didn't insist on more assistance with the difficulties in her own department, at least not yet.
Oh a twirl for her, how fun. Mariel allowed an amused smirk to grace her lips before glancing down at her shoes. They were pretty fierce, weren't they? "Please, these are nothing," she said, lifting her eyes again as she casually lifted a hand with a dismissive air. "Of course they have the appropriate comfort charms. I could run a marathon in these if I needed to." Not that she would. Of course she had trainers for anything truly athletic, appropriate shoes for appropriate settings. "I just don't see the crime in looking presentable," she added, smiling more naturally. It was important to look her best, almost as important as doing her best, and she could manage both. She'd think he'd agree as he obviously knew how to dress himself.
Green eyes shifted back to Victoria at her question and she thought over what was written on the memo. "About two hours, I believe." And to be honest, she hoped it wasn't any longer than that. The 28 year old knew enough about Muggles, there really wasn't that much on the subject, was there? And she didn't fancy being bored to tears today. Seeing Victoria's wave, Mariel followed her line of vision. Oh good, there were two more of her employees now. The brunette gave a smile and approving nod to both Langen and Saxon. If they wanted to join them, it'd be alright with her.. but she was just pleased to see them follow through.

He took off his suit jacket to examine to spot and it took all of his self control to not say something he really shouldn't say in the presence of a lady. "This had better come off." he stared at the spot. "This is my favourite suit." It was likely he'd brushed up against something on the way in, since this place was a DUMP.
"Sounds like International Cooperation got the best deal so far. We've got a third floor old office that's been spruced up. It has cubicles and I claimed an office for myself." he told them, not to make them jealous, but to help them understand why he was SO appalled.
It looked like they were about to get started. Mariel noticed the grumpy man in the dungarees move more towards the center of the room, possibly to command attention, and the brunette looked in his direction. In her line of vision however, the 28 year old caught sight of another man, one that was well-dressed. She could appreciate his suit and threw a light smile in his direction, which soon faltered as she became ore attuned to his conversation. Had his suit been ruined?
Mariel took a step towards the man and his friends, leaning a little closer. "Impervius charms work wonders," she offered helpfully with a slightly bigger smile. Especially in the environment in which most of them now had to work. Not that it would really help him now, but for future reference. Mariel made sure all the clothing she wore to work had those charms in place.

Mariel had been correct in her thinking after observing Jenkins' body language, they were about to start, and green eyes flickered back up to the man in charge of this training seminar. Oh was he looking right at her? She shot him a knowing grin. Mhm, she could handle this muggle stuff and look good doing it.
Evade muggles. Merlin, that word made it sound like they were running from mad hoardes and she could not help the soft chuckle that escaped because of that mental image. She was highly amused though she knew that was most likely an inappropriate response and tried her best to focus. This was important for her and her employees and she quickly composed herself as she listened to the offered responses. Blending in.. obvious, no? Mariel wasn't sure what she expected and her eyes began to wander, soon landing on someone she was sure looked familiar (Rusty). Easy on the eyes, certainly, but she had difficulty placing him so she soon settled for a friendly smile in his direction before pulling her eyes away to once again try for attentive.
A tickle of air at her ear startled her and she instinctively swatted a hand in that direction as she sharply turned her head. Nothing there. Odd. She narrowed her eyes, then turned around behind her at the sound of a commotion. What was going on there? Some sort of concealment, she supposed, though she was even more grateful now that she hadn't sat on any of the filthy chairs. Merlin knew what she would have really been sitting on. Alright.. focusing. Disillusionment? She did rather enjoy that charm and she glanced over at the man who offered that answer when her eyes snapped up as she heard a very loud Emily Browne. Though she didn't see her.
Green eyes tried to focus on several spots around the gymnasium as the voice moved.. disillusioned herself, perhaps. Mariel smirked lightly to herself as the woman soon appeared. Nice entrance. Though.. red paint on elbows? She knew the suited man had already been targeted and she sort of hoped her own attire hadn't been victimized. Mariel glanced at her own elbows before glancing up to see Victoria headed up to the center of the room.

Did Jory said something? Just when he was with Evelyn, Josh looked back at the YATI as he was sure he heard his voice. Yeah, he surely said something apparently since he looked like he was laughing. Josh gave him a look before turning back to Evelyn. But then...somebody else was talking to him. When he looked towards the voice, he was surprised to see no one but Joao talking to him asking how he was. Oh? Maybe the guy didn't hate him at all. "I am fine, thank you. What about you? You look...ready to blend in this thing."
Being the personal assistant of the minister himself, Joao possibly knew what the auror wanted to know. Eh...maybe he could try to talk to him later. He stared back again at Simon and Jory talking to each other, to see if they were laughing at him, before returning to Evelyn. The auror smiled at his fiancé's question. "Well..." he looked around the place again for a moment "...eh. Maybe a little bit better. But don't worry. I am not bothered about where i work. I don't care." Smiling a warm smile at her, he stroked her hand in his a bit. "I hope your working place is okay."
Okay...now apparently this thing had officially started. Still holding his love's hand, Josh looked at the guy who was talking and...really? They had to answer questions. Josh groaned a bit. He thought he had graduated from Hogwarts.
And there was Emily's voice coming from nowhere. Never letting Evelyn's hand go, he just listened and stood there in silence. Yeah, yeah. People gave good answers. Good for them. Josh really was hoping this was not going to be a like a Hogwarts class. Especially not a History of Magic class during all he had slept and done nothing else. Leaning towards Evelyn, he whispered "If i fall sleep somehow..." Somehow because he was standing and there was nowhere to fall asleep on "...wake me up should Emily look this way."
He definitely did not want his boss lady to see him sleeping during a ministry wide training. That could be worse than peeing on random spots.
Wait?
Red dots? Letting Evelyn's hand go he quickly checked his elbows. He could see nothing red there. Hmmm. Eh...did Evelyn have one?

Bwahahahahaa!!! She was amused by their expressions, could they tell? Could they? But really, at the end of the day they were gaining an advantage, she didn't just go around painting elbows for no reason. No. This lot were carefully selected - for one reason or another. Funny though how something so nice on her part, was considered to be rude or nasty. It was paint, it could be magic'd away and if not, then it would only go to show that people needed to develop thier cleaning skills as well as their evasion skills. Heh.
The uptight climate controller from last year, the handsome creatures dude -- who rumour has it wore a skirt, her somewhat of a dear friend, Vic who needed to relax as well as one of her more promising YATI.. yeah... she'd selected the group well. Though, the grumpy pants glaring at her complaining about his suit, he was randomly selected, and consider her randomly amused. It was worth the looks she was getting, she'd seen far worse. Emily may have even wiggled the bush at him some more... teasing.
BUT... as much as she wasn't here for dress ups, she wasn't here for painting either, and so in the next second, the brush was banished. "Exceeeellent..." she mused now she was in a marginally better mood. "Now to begin with, we're going to be playing a little game of hide and seek... in an effort to learn or practice our evasion skills. Whether or not you'll actually want to evade muggles, is up to you... but considering the current circumstances, having the skills won't do you any harm." In case there were any party pooper among them. They were welcome to leave if they felt themselves above this. The Minister would be thrilled to know which department it was that was letting them down.
Gaze trained on those she had selected, Emily smiled slyly, "Along with Oliver, Aron and I, you will be our seekers," which meant ... "the rest of you, will be hiding." Fun times, no? It would be a real hoot, they'd see.
"But before we get started, hiding is only half of the task, having the knack to identify those who are concealed or disguised is something entirely different. Can anyone shed some light on how we might go about doing that?" It was a probing question, gauging what they already knew.
Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna
Simon continued to watch as the rest of the group all looked to see if they had been chosen. One man seemed to be freaking out and he bit back the urge to shake his head. It wasn't THAT bad. At first he though their department had been left out but then Kennedy moved and the auror noticed the spot just as the YATI did. Ooops. At least it would be good practice for him. Listening as the basic description of
Hide and seek...wizard style.
That was an interesting prospect and Simon actively noted those who had been selected by Emily to help her, Aron and Oliver seek out those to be hidden including himself. Besides Kennedy and the woman from Games and Sports he knew. He figured Oliver might be the easier to hide from since the other two both had the training of the MLE to back up any natural skills in the seeking department.
"Homenum Revelio would be useful," he answered, finally contributing to the answers. The charm for the finding of bodies blending into their surroundings. His other thoughts dwelling on preparing what he should do once they had to hide.
Professor Pink | Mrs. Bruce Wayne | I'm on a Goat | Glitterpuff | Dumbledore's Defense Squad | BHB
Well....... okay! So this was all just a big game of hide-and-go-seek! William's face relaxed a little upon hearing that. Though he obviously had no clue how to go about finding people... homenum somethinum. Yeah, that could be useful, but wouldn't that be like cheating?
He was just gonna... stand here and look pretty cross his arms. And also try to memorize the people present to see who he was hunting down in here.

Edward heard someone address the group. He checked one more time to make sure he hadn't been 'tagged' with the red paint. He looked around and tried to determine how best to hide. There wasn't much, though there was enough.
He heard the woman asked about how one could detect disguise or concealment. He answered up. "In concealment, there is just something that doesn't quite seem right. It's more of a matter of perception and attention to detail and it may be something as small as seeing depressed ground where it should not be."

Waiting anxiously as a few others joined her with painted elbows - William from her level at their proper Ministry, Victoria, and a couple others she had no idea. Wizarding hide-and-seek? Intriguing and not quite THAT bad, actually.
Relaxing her hands to her side, she took a moment to gaze around at those who would be hiding. Who she would have to be seeking. Homenum revelio. Good one. How else could she identify those who are concealed or disguised? Perception and attention to detail?
"Casting 'finite' to end any charms they might have placed on themselves?" Alex offered quietly.

SPOILER!!: Mariel
Her brown eyes that were looking around the room snapped up towards Mariel again as she mentioned her Fiancée’s name. “Oh he might have had something come up with the girls. He was taking them to my parents this morning. He should be around shortly I would assume.” Truth be told she wasn’t sure where he was. She had been leaving earlier than hi to take the girls to her parents and she had been avoiding conversations with anyone and everyone including Charely most of the time. Her face set in a frown at these thoughts she forgot for a moment to pretend all was alright when she really felt her need to get up and walk out, but that wasn’t happening anytime soon.

Merlin how the hell did this happen. She went from hiding in the background to full out center and seeking others. She dearly loved her friend, but right now she would have rather not known her if it meant not being in this center of the room.
Instead of answering or even paying much attention to the question Emily was asking Vic looked around to the other seekers. Did she know any of them and could they just be her guide through this activity. Maybe she could pair up with that nice looking lead of this, Jenkins wasn’t it. She noticed the man she had helped right before the girls were born. William or something. He might be of help through this and then there was Alex another friend she hadn’t talked to in some time. She had really fallen out of touch with adults since the girls were born. That really should change when she was ready.
So the others she wasn’t so sure of, but she could always talk to if needed. Now could they get started and get this little game over with.

Oh please...
While it still looked like he was in a class at Hogwarts with Emily's next question, it could be a DADA class though, Josh could not help being amused as he listened to the answers. It was not like he thought they were giving wrong or funny answers. Quite the opposite, their ideas could be useful but Josh thought, while they could be helpful, using those magic could cause the disguised person to find an opportunity to go away, since they would figure out you are trying to reveal them.
Yet...
"I do agree with the dude who mentioned attention to detail. There might be something funny at the spot they disguised themselves. But...also it could be made of such mastery that even an eagle would not be able to see anything." And c'mon, they probably knew about all those magic as well and probably better than those. "I would just...go about my business or look like doing so. The disguised person will be watching you. Just do not care if they are disguised and get busy with the next object of the mission. This must be something they are involved with. Sooner or later they will try to stop you so they will reveal themselves...most likely by attacking you. So, i would not bother trying to uncover them, you just need vigilance for the moment they would reveal themselves...that is, if you want to remain alive."
He grinned at eyed Emily a bit before taking his fiancé's hand again. Oh, now that he mentioned this trick, this hide and seek was going to be difficult. At least he was not one of the seekers. "No one has endless patience. Especially not criminals as they rarely tolerate people. Push their limits of patience in a way. They will reveal themselves."

Jackson nodded in agreement with both men who spoke up before speaking up himself. "Generally, a person can only stay still or silent for so long...unless he or she is a tibetan monk or something, then maybe this won't apply. Like the guy said over there, there will be disturbances in the area or force field around them." Jackson paused trying to think of an example before continuing.
"Like say, the wind blowing dust around the place. Where the person is hiding the dust will not fall there. The person only blends in with their surroundings. The spell does not make them porous. Things can't go through them. Light will bounce off them and cast a shadow."
"Yes revealing spells work really well. Using your own senses work just as well too. Sight, hearing and smell."
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
No red paint for Jory. That was just fine with him. Totally over Josh and his funny antic from a few minutes ago, Jory paid attention to his head of Department. Now this sounded like something fun. And you got it right. The YATI could hardly wait to get started.
He listened to a few responses before raising his hand. Well, he didn't raise it fully but when he realised he was doing it, he quickly dropped his hand. Habit from Hogwarts. Hehe.
"I agree with Jackson,'' Jory said. "Magic works great but there can be times when your senses can be better.'' Muggles didn't use magic and their senses worked just fine. Even if they were off sometimes.

Finite. Yes yes yes... that'd work too... as boring as it was. Emily nod her head, though it was clear she wasn't nearly as enthusiastic about this response. "You're not wrong, Carter," she agreed with her YATIL.. That was an MLE thing, no point letting other departments steal their thunder there.

But his second point was more on the money. "You're quite right, even if someone cannot be seen, it doesn't mean we can't see where they are." ... There was perhaps a better way of phrasing that, but she wasn't interesting with word play right now.

Emily nod her head. No need to voice her agreement, it was a waste of breath.
But they had what they needed ... more or less. Wasn't it amusing though that it was her mob that were the loudest in this aspect of training. Where the others clueless or simply overshadowed by MLE enthusiasm?
Either way, the show had to go on.
Emily spared Oliver and Aron a quick look before continuing.
"The objective for our first activity, for those of you who are hiding.. is to blend into our current environment. You may use any of the methods discussed, and if you require assistance in mastering a skill we're here to help.." Obviously, but for the most part, they were fine, were they not?
"Those of you who are seeking, your task is to identify those who are hiding, it's fairly straight forward. Be vigilant, practice the spells we've discussed... though you'll find it too busy in here to use Homenum Revelio effectively.." and then there was the fun bit. Heh. "Of course, as Mr. McQueen was so kind to point out, invisibility does not equate to penetrability.. so for those of you who are familiar with peruvian darkness powder, we have a modified alternative." Hands fishing in her pocket, Emily revealed a couple of coloured rounds. "Seekers, you will each receive three of these, use them well. Though of course, don't feel restricted in what you can do to seek your targets, even a well placed aguamenti can give away the human form."
Did she cover everything? Another quick glance to Aron and Oliver in case they had anything they wanted to add. They were welcome to give the signal to begin, int he meantime, she took a few measured steps away from them, distributing the coloured rounds to their chosen seekers. "Seeker's if you'll follow me outside until everyone is in position," she called, leading the way.
OOC: Seekers please accept your coloured rounds and follow us "outside" until we're called back in. Hiders, ask questions if you have them, and HIDE. Our fellow co-instructors will post for you shortly.

Aron stood with both hands tucked in his jean pants, eyes on the crowd, while Emily spoke. One thing he did appreciate was that Emily was not flowery with her words like some of the other honking daffodils around the Ministry were. Just getting down to business and doing something active to take their minds off their deplorable circumstances. Nothing a little bit of training disguised as fun couldn't hurt, yeah?
"If any of you think you are up to the little trick I pulled," he called out as he started making his way outside, venturing a glance at the woman who had sat at him as the right side of his mouth curled into a cocky smirk. "You need to give yourself a firm tap on the head with your wand and say Cathatio corpedra. I trust you are all familiar with the Disillusionment Charm by now and need not review that." It was a spell taught at Hogwarts after all, or so his wife had told him.
Of course there were other methods to blending in, but he would wait to see if anyone here surprised him before offering other suggestions.
After giving his nose a tap with his index finger, he followed Emily with a confident strut.

Edward listened to the instructions provided and as he saw the instructors (hiders) departing scanned the gymnasium. A quick survey of the location didn't reveal much in the way of hiding spots. He considered different alternatives. As this was training, and not a real emergency, he needed to ensure that he didn't give away any of his past use of get out of trouble in a hurry skills. That probably wouldn't reflect well.
He surveyed the ceiling looking for a place he could hide...there was just not much to work with in this space. Hiding conventionally wasn't going to be sufficient. He was going to have to use a magical solution.
Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna
His suggestion for one of their options seemed to have gotten Emily's approval. Simon knew it was one of the more basis ideas but the auror was laying it out there for the others. But then he wasn't going to be looking for his fellow hiders. Nope...he was going to be disappearing into his surroundings as the department head herself mentioned it. He momentarily switched his focus to listen to the other options being given, a small smile gracing his features as Jory commented from beside him.
Yep...magic was only half of the matter.
Like how not only did one need to blend in, they also had to be aware of their surroundings. One of the easiest way to be found out was for collisions with other people to happen and such that caused unintentional reactions of betrayal. At the mention of Peruvian Darkness powder, Simon couldn't help but get a feeling of deja vu. Aron and his team were well versed in its usage, at least those who had been ninjas at the other training exercise.
Now given the departure of Emily and her group of seekers and the parting words of Aron, Simon was back to debating his best course of action. Part of him wished there was a discret way to summon his broom and take to the air even a few feet up off the ground. The debris litering the floor gave a minor inconvience to not being tracked by footprints or the movement of it accidentally. Levitation would work but having to juggle too many spells made it difficult to control them all at once.
"Good luck," he wished the remaining MLErs still nearest him with a nod, the same Mr. Jackson and Stonewall that had answered their head last. It was a genuine remark not sarcastic to the young YATI or security officer for they all might need a bit of it. Simon then moved to disallusion himself with a wave of his hand, keeping his wand in his sleeve for the moment and easily within reach if needed. Keeping himself invisible for now as he moved would work and he could always switch things up as the deal went on.

Yeah, you hiders. Get to hiding. YEAH. William gave the lot of 'em sharp looks and then, after a long moment, realized he was supposed to be going outside. Oops. He nodded at Oliver and then strode along behind the A&C dude and the MLE creeper.
What were these colored things for?

So they were doing this.. Alright then she turned and listened to everyone and their spells. Still trying to figure out who might be the best person to pair up with so that she wouldn't have to actually seek if she didn't have to. Sighing inwardly as Emily finished she went over and collected the colors. Looking around she frowned, where was Charely. Well no surprise that she didn't know it wasn't like she had been speaking much to him lately.
She turned after receiving the powder. Now what did she have to do? She watched and saw that Emily told them to go outside, did she really have to head out there to play a child's game. She knew she had to look more positively at this and she was not one that was normally negative, but she just couldn't get into it. Giving another sight the thirty four year old headed out of the building behind her friend.

Jory finally recognised the guy with Emily. He had supported that plant sale Hogwarts had when they needed to raise money. The YATI remembered how he had felt when the guy had tested his knowledge on plants. Small was what he had felt. Yep. Jory had been unfamiliar back then with the terms the man had used. Aron he was called? Such a brainiac he was.
Anyway...Disillusionment Charm it was! Jory grinned over at Simon. "You too,'' he said to the Auror and to Jackson as well. He was thrilled that things were finally getting started. He quickly performed the Charm on himself and was delighted to find he blended right in.
Avoiding any contact with people, Jory holstered his wand before moving away from everyone. "See you around, Jackson.'' Or not. Hehe.
Just where was he going? The Seekers would just have to find out.

Well this was going to be quite interesting, because she was many things but she was NOT a seeker. But she was smart, so she would figure this out. Coloured rounds? She stared at the MLE Head for a moment perplexed, before accepting her three. Perhaps she would find a use for them.
Outside now to wait?

Following her friend whom she hadn't spoken to in awhile outside, she sidled up to next to her and whispered. "Partners?" They could help each other, right? Like they weren't totally expected to do this independently.
