Hello ~Otty.

I don't know if you noticed but I italicized that for a reason just saying.
I DID notice.

But I thought I said as much once ... hmm ... but you're right.
I think it was Ottery that characterized Harry as Dumbledores right hand man and needed to be protected at all cost. If I'm not mistaken, it was during the train wreck, and right before he put that curse on that woman who was working both sides of the track and got killed. The reason he was sent to Azkaban. (I still can't believe Scumenger did that!) Now, I'm gonna have to go check, cause I'm curious. Anyway.... to answer your question:

Ottery is important in the grand scheme of the story BUT it isn't imperative that he live to fulfill his role, is it?
Have you ever seen, "My Girl Two"? One of the worst written movies ever in my opinion, and it is because the hero dies in the end. If it has to be, then I trust you to do it right. I love Ottery, and all the rest of the heroes, but he is my favorite, and I don't want him to die. But, like I said if you must, then I do trust you to do it right.

...I'm thinking of dropping hints about the larger story
I shall be there watching for these hints, and nobody will even notice me.

Still so sad!

In the short time they had known each other they had become friends quickly, both of them cognizant that their time together would be brief, aware of the urgency of their quest.
~Otty, I really, really enjoyed this part. So very sweet this spitit assigned to her.

“You know for a guide or spiritual adviser you’re pretty inutile.” Hermione remarked frustrated.
Awe! She's a bit rough on him isn't she? But, she is that way though.

Silver Wind ate his buffalo quietly and watched her. She was a smart girl, the great spirit would guide her, he was simply here to be a comforting presence or perhaps something else, you really could never tell with the great spirit. It wasn't as if he wrote his messages across the sky in cloud symbols. And it was just like the white people always wanting everything to be so quick and easy. He sighed. Eventually she would figure it out. Hermione was smart if a little impatient.
Quite possibly my favorite part of this post. Very nicely written ~Otty. All of it actually. But, you can't help it. You're just that good.

Loved this!
