Yet, it was completely bewildering to her, how beautiful it was, and how a tinge of her wanted to leave, and let her remember it for it's beauty before anything horrible happened to it.
"Good, I don't like to think of you crying," It made HER want to sob uncontrollably again, like she had in the dorm multiple times. She started to play with the fingers of their joined hands, just like usual, and smiled hastily. "I know, Ad. I know. Hogwarts... Well it's home isn't it, home and it has been for a while. You prolonged it for a year, feel lucky." Lori laughed awkwardly, as she tried to make this situation into a joke. Terribly, of course.
ah. Work. "You can just sing places, get some money whatver. My trust fund can cover us for now." It would for a while, too. "So we are gonna get a house? I thought you were ll skeptical about the idea? " She hadn't been. She'd rather be in a house than a flat thing. Something that was THEIRS, and not just shared with other people. "Yeah... I want to see Tyler. And go visit Torin in New York. Promised Don I'd take him too..."
Adam sighed and watched Lorelai as she surveyed the Great Hall. He joined in, noting how cool the sky looked right then, and squeezed her hand. This, them leaving, wasn't right. Shouldn't be happening. Because Adam really didn't want it too.
"I don't cry. I'm a man, and men don't cry," he said with a wink.
"Don't you cry Lorelai. Please, don't cry." He didn't like seeing Lorelai all upset, and she'd already cried today.
"Yeah, it's home. It's the best home we could have. Everyday with your friends. The best food I've ever tasted," here he waved his arm over the food and emmitted a slight chuckle.
"Why does everything good have to end, eh? It's crappy." "I've... been thinking," he said, his grip on her hand relazing just a little.
"About going into the ministry. But... I'm not sure, I just don't think I'll get the grades for it, yernoo." Woah, it took a lot for Adam to admit that. Back to the houses.
"Yeah, we are," Adam sighed, squeezing her hand again. A house, just for them two.
"It'll be better than a pokey flat, and we'll have more room without using so many undetectable extention charms." "That's another good thing; you'll be able to see Donny more. Maybe he could even come and stay with us if we... yerknow, get a house." He shrugged a little. It was just an idea.
But all of this talk of leaving was making him feel horrible, and he felt lucky he was on the end of the bench. On a spur of the moment, he pulled out a pair of handcuffs from his pocket. They'd been amongst the things he'd had shoved there, and they came out along with some bits of string, a watch, a pair of compasses and a quill. He didn't care for these things as they began rolling away from him.
"I'm not.. I'm not going Lori," he said, clipping one around his wrist and another to the leg of his chair.
No. Adam Daniel Stemp was never ever
ever leaving Hogwarts.
