Preston made his way over to them. "Opposite sides of the room." He pointed at Fletcher and to one side, and then to Mia and the other. "If you so much as look at each other cross-eyed, I will ask you to leave before the final."
Pausing, he leaned closer to Fletcher. "Unacceptable. Completely unacceptable."

The Professor looked really mad and it was all Fletcher's fault. Mia picked up her wand, branch and leaf board along with her bag. And with one last dirty look at gross boy she moved to the other side of the classroom.
She dumped all her stuff onto her new desk and plopped down into the chair. Pointing her wand at her branch, she said a quiet. "Fixate." The branch was now suspended in mid air and then taking a deep breath and trying her hardest on focusing making a smooth pole.
Mia gave her wand a simple flick, "Palus." She waited a moment before looking at her branch. Well she had almost gotten it right but there were still a few knobbly bits on it.
Sighing deeply she dropped her head onto the desk with a thump. She was never going to get this.
