Carter was, once again, tell Destiny, the MASTER of animal facts, what the fish were doing. "I know what they are doing, I just said it was freaky!" Imagine if everyone at Hogwarts walked around the halls opening and closing their mouths even when they weren't talking. It'd be FREAKY!

Destiny supposed Carter was right. No matter how much she wished he wasn't. "Actually I did not know that, so thank you for telling me."

Carter had danced with her at the last ball which meant..

..THEY WERE TOTALLY ON A DATE!

She glanced back over her shoulder at Marie and the Violator. Hopefully Marie didn't know she had dated Carter right in front of her face.

What exactly? Destiny had no idea what he was talking about. Maybe he had no idea either, so he had said 'exactly' to act like he knew and it would confuse her so much that she wouldn't ask if he really knew of not!

Brains like that..the boy could be a Ravenclaw.

"Of course I know what's in the water." Carter said. "Water is in there, duh." And a giant squid and some mer-people and some ~~fishies~~ fishes and some water ... but mostly water.

He shrugged. "Fish probably think that people look weird too." He couldn't even imagine being a fish and watching how people swam and walked and the such. But he was pretty sure that now that he thought about it he really wanted to be a fish for a day and see what it was like. There had to be some kind of fish potion or spell type thing, right?

"Yeah, dancing, walking, getting ice cream, cooking, swimming... those could all be dates." he said. Then he realized that he had done every single one of those examples with Destiny. "But, of course, it doesn't count as a date unless it is specified that it is a date." he said. You know, in case Destiny was worried.

"Ouch! What was that for?" Carter asked rubbing his head. "I was planning on eating that." he said looking at the roll in his hand. Perhaps he shouldn't have grabbed a sourdough one.

"And you got it all wet too."

Okay, so maybe Destiny hadn't done exactly that, but still... his roll was wet and that's what mattered.
