It doesn't appear to make a difference, but the numbers are easier to work with and less room for addition errors, as seen in your Pythagorean calculation." Fina explained to the girl. "Please check your addition on that particular system especially, as I think you'll find the number to be incorrect. Good work otherwise though"
Cass sighed mentally. Of course she was wrong. She and numbers didn't go together and it would be silly to pretend otherwise...but she wanted to pass this class, so even if it took a million tries, she was going to get this right. So without another word, she set aside the parchment with the wrong answers and brought out a new one to start on a new set of numbers.
Cass looked down on her paper and noticed that it was only bigger by one. her previous answer was 8 and now it was 9. She hoped she was right this time.
Then she looked down once again on her parchment and decided that she should also redo her telephone method. So she dipped her quill into her pot of ink once again and bent low over her parchment.
When Cass had finished, she was surprised when she saw that she had come up with the same number as her previous answer.
"Well, my answer was probably right the first time, or I'm wrong again the second time." She said to herself as she placed her quill back into the ink well. Oh well. Here goes nothing.
