Well, the Forrest Gump book and movie are VERY different, the movie followed actual history. The book did too, but there were lots of...extraordinary bits that they left out of the movie because they're a little too fantastic to make the story in the movie believeable. It's so funny though! I love the movie too, but the book just has so much more. And the sequel was very good too. It's called Gump & Co. (by the way, they changed the ending of the book to make the movie!)
