Nia struggled to keep a straight face. She could hear that tone in his voice. "Yes...you know like plait it. Or dreadlock it." She rubbed her lips together, holding in a giggle. Ridiculous? Did he believe she that she'd make him look baddd? Gah! "I think it could be rather...fetching. And practical. Guys can have them too, you know." Not that she honestly thought it would persuade him, but it was true.
"It's holding out good so far," Nia said, leaning across to take a closer look. It was then she realised the really clever part as he wrinkled his nose. The mask lifted off where it held its shape, but then reaffixed itself when it made contact again. "A really nifty spell," she noted, in reference to how it worked, and his success at it. And he thought she was the brainy one! "Just try to forget about it being there," Nia answered. "Ignore it and relax." Though admittedly, she'd probably find have something stuck to her face a bit weird. Especially on her cheeks, because the eye bit would probably just feel like Quidditch goggles.
Okay. So her date...was just her date. How enlightening. She'd have to be careful not to name him directly. An alias would be far more fun. To see how people were gullible enough. But oh well. Though truthfully, the people that cared enough about him being here probably should be able to pick up the slightest hints of it being Raiden. She had, afterall. "Well, my date, it's truely an honour to grace your arm tonight."
Her jaw dropped, and she looked at him in mock surprise, shock...and quite possibly distain. Nia really needed to work on her acting skills. "Manipulative? Batting my eyes? Looking at you?" She raised a dramatic hand to her forehead, whilst doing both of the aforementioned actions, and let out a sigh.
As for fighting it. No comment. But a slight blush did appear in her cheeks. The evening was looking better already.
