Hogwarts RPG Name: Jeremy Bradford Fifth Year | "It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not." Quote:

"Like I said, it is still unsure who exactly was the inventor of the electric telephone, however Bell was the first one to receive a patent for the invention of the telephone." At this he briefly gave Kurumi a small smile, who had mentioned Lewis Lattimer who had been helpful with said patent. "Furthermore, Thomas Edison is probably one of the most famous of the previously mentioned, because he invented one very essential thing about the electrical telephone. The carbon microphone." He held up the respective part of the red telephone for everybody to see and pointed at the end closest to the cable to indicate that that was were the microphone was. "Can anybody of you tell me what this part of the telephone is called and what the other end is called and used for?" He nodded at said end, waiting for them to reply. "Well the piece towards the bottom is the part that you speak in to, and the top piece is where you hear the voice of the person you are talking to. As to their technical terms, I am not exactly sure what they are called." Alice had never really thought too deeply into telephones, mostly because the whole communication process with them and the telephone wires, and individual numbers could get pretty complicated.
