34. Protego
Remus sat under the tree with James, Sirius, and Peter; reading his book and barely paying attention to what his other friends were doing. Remus heard yelling and laughing and looked up; his friends had left his side and were standing a few yards away making fun of Severus, he sighed and closed his book.
"James, Sirius, Peter," he said as walked over to his friends, "what are you doing?"
Sirius looked at Remus and smirked, "just having a bit of fun with our dear friend Snivellus," he said as he laughed looking back at Snape.
Snape looked at Remus and then at James, "No wonder Lily does not want anything to do with you, Potter," he said acidly, "she knows what kind of selfish prat you are."
Remus watched as James lunged forward, ready to attack Severus, he raised his wand and yelled "Protego," an invisible barrier appeared and protected Severus from James. Remus looked at his friend as he ran into the barrier.
James looked at Remus, "Get rid of it," he snarled.
Remus ignored James and looked at Severus, "It would be best if you left now." |
