... Well, apparently not.
He struggled to swallow the guffaw that threatened to burst out at the sight of Grayson in a heap on the floor. But the Ravenclaw gal seemed the hardy sprite, bouncing up like nothing happened. He drew near her, checking to make sure if she was ok at least "Oh yeah, most excellently fun!" he chuckled in agreement. The peck on the cheek took him off guard, and the lad started to blush “Aww shucks Grayson, it was nuthin’” the lad grinned sheepishly when she thanked him, relieved that his cosmic darkness was hiding the shade of crimson just lighter than his ear. But as his luck would have it, the potion decided to quit on him just then, his phantom glow conking out like a neon bulb. Oops.
He stared back at the damaged portrait dumbfounded. "Sure why not?" he replied confidently as he raised his wand, then stopped short to let Grayson do the fixing. Salander had absolutely no clue how to fix anything with magic. Or maybe even without magic that wouldnt involve a nail gun and duct tape. He looked closely at the repaired portrait "Good job!" he said approvingly, giving her the thumbs up. To him it was a good job, the hole aint there anymore aint it? Who cares if it kinda looks like theres a peculiarly faint spider web like flaw on the portrait?
Although... the portrait people might say something and start whining about it. "Erm, you know what lets just put this back in and get outta here." he muttered, as he levitated the portrait, slamming it onto its neighbors a few times before finally being able to settle it back onto its original position. And amidst the cacophony of angry portrait subjects, Salander grabbed Grayson's hand and scrammed from the staircase. Grayson hadn't even noticed the faitn snickering over the squealing of the frame on the floor as it went on it's way to rest against the wall. But then, between the potion, the exhilaration, panic and everything else, she was so occupied a bomb might have gone off without her noticing. She didn't even notice when Salander had started to offer help, even though the cacophony had stopped by then. Of course, she might not have taken it anyway, but that was neither here nor there. Either way, she was out of the painting. And still amusingly glowy.
She had noticed that Salander had been closer to her by the time she had bounced back up, though. Hadn't stopped her exuberant outburst, though. Just made it easier to execute. And she giggled a little as he agreed with her comment about it being fun. It had definitely been fun. Moments of terror, but still fun. His response to her gratitude mystified her a bit though. "No it wasn't," she argued, still oddly bouncy though. "If you hadn't been here, I'd be all broken. Probably." She still didn't know if she'd've figured out a way to not slam into the wall on her own. She probably wouldn't have come up with the painting idea though, if she did get a brainstorm. She kept sort of watching him for a moment, though. That anti-glowy thing he had going on really helped in confusing her as to why he seemed all uncomfortable now.
She'd turned back to the painting before the potion stopped working on him, however, so she missed the reveal. At least he seemed on board with trying to hide the evidence, even if she was the only one to cast the spell. She glanced back at him when he complimented her, though, sending him a quick grin. "Thank you." It kind of disappointed her that the fix wasn't perfect, but she was nowhere near perfect at spells. More practice would be needed for that, but she wasn't about to poke holes in more paintings for that. And that had been an awfully big hole. And her disappointment only spiked when she stopped being all glowy.
Until Salander had spoken again, and she shrugged. "Probably a good idea," she said with another tiny giggle. The fact it seemed nobody had seen them before now was odd, but she wasn't about to take that for granted. Getting away from the scene was the best idea. She let him get the painting back onto the wall, eyes widening as the people in the paintings all started complaining. Loudly. Escape would definitely be good. She hadn't expected to have her hand grabbed, though, and another giggle burst from her as she tried to keep up. Salander could move awfully fast, but then he had height on her. Helped right now, since they got away before she could really react. Now she just had to hope nobody tattled on them. Talking portraits could be bad that way.
