James didn't really care what she was, he was just disappointed. She was ruining his record. ALL women liked the Parker musk. It was delicious. DEL-icious. Every woman that was. He didn't understand. So far he'd been infallible.

James snorted. She was COPYING him. He had just said an AWESOME joke and she'd copied him. He pouted. He didn't like it that she was ALWAYS right. He rolled his eyes. "Flirting does NOT lead to babies.." Seriously. Otherwise Parker would've had at least thirty kids.

*shudder*

James blinked at her explanation. Suffering. He frowned. Did that mean she actually cared? James couldn't remember the last time that'd..
He didn't let his mind drift to that. He was better than that.

"I'm .. thanks, Lyric.." James said, slowly. He stopped looking like such a cocky twat and actually sobered, sending her a small smile.
"I needed.. someone. Thank you again.." He said this, slowly, uncertain with the gushy feeling that was actually sincere. He squirmed. He wasn't good with apologies. Not when they were to women who weren't fawning over him.

Especially when he actually meant them.

And the moment was over. It lasted about as long as his relationships. He was going to smirk darkly when suddenly her small, hard fist came into contact with his stomach. He keeled over, 'oooof', eyes watering and cringing.
"Merlin, Lyric," James forced out, clutching the shelf for support. That had bloody hurt.

How could she be so mean? She WAS wild. Man..

He massaged his stomach and limped after her. He couldn't believe he was doing this but.. "Lyric. Can you STOP physically abusing me?" Please? His tummy hurt now.

And then she was leaving. James straightened. "...Wait! Lyric.." He reached in a few long strides. ".. I don't really know how to friends with you.." He tried to grin, putting on the cocky façade but he shrugged and tried to look sincere. "Usually I just flirt.. and it doesn't work with you.. " And James didn't really know what to do with that.

"I don't just want to talk to you at work.." Lyric was sort of nice when she didn't want to kill you.

Of course she wasn't really looking at the products. She was merely just glancing at them. Lyric was far to distracted to care about which shampoo would bring more shine to her hair. And THAT was proof enough that something was wrong.

She had hoped- no she had begged that James wouldn't follow her. But of course he did. Stupid man. She tried to ignore him but his words sounded sincere?....NO he was just toying with her mind. Alarms were going off in her brain saying that she shouldn't trust him! Lyric signed and turned around. "If you usually flirt with people how does that make them your friend?" The question had escaped her mouth before she had a chance to stop it. Stupid blunt personality.

The Brazilian signed again as he said he didn't want to just speak to her at work. Pushing a strain of hair that had gotten loose behind her ear she slowly opened her mouth. "Listen. I may physically abuse you, but that's only because you need to be taught a lesson. Your attitude is disgusting James. The world doesn't only revolve around you. And me physically abusing you might hurt, but you constantly verbal abuse me. And that hurts just as bad." She wouldn't even get into the fact that he usually called her names before she attacked him. Lyric looked down as she tried to catch her train of though. Glancing back up she felt her anger rise again. "And I don't have many friends, but if I had the choice between having no friend's and having you- someone who is contantly insulting me, not in a funny way either mind you, I would choose the former." The words were just flowing out her mouth now, she was angry, annoyed, hurt, call it what you may, to her it was all the same thing. "One minute you are thanking me and the next, your back to being a jerk. I don't want to put up with any of this crap, I already have enough to put up with, with my dad just dying, and I just think that you need a serious attitude adjustment."

Lyric had to admit, at times...most of the time. She was mean, bitter, resentful and a whole bunch of other things that gave her that negative vibe. But James was...he was the same way, but worse. The man never saw a flaw in himself, but with her it was the other way around. "So until you change, please don't talk to me unless it's job related." And that was that. She turned her attention back to the bottles in front of her. "Oh, and flirting does lead to babies."
