And when that rock came? She didn't know whether to wince or laugh. He ducked it though. What a disappointment. She leant forward again, and pushed on towards a large rock that was heading for Vashti. Yep, she was totally protecting her own. Not that she was anymore. But, yeah.
She hit the rock with a thwack! just as ClawGuy announced 'fore!' She glanced around, watching as his effort whizzed past. It was a good shot, even if he had been distracted first time round.
"Nice hit," Nia said, sitting up on her broom. "So, you wanna be with me, or against me?" she asked, eyebrow raised and lips rubbing together. Because she wasn't exactly on a team yet. And she was up for a bit of fun. The Quidditch Pitch was her true home, afterall.
"Why thank you." Jimmy answered, just glancing at her, eyes still zooming around and watching for likely rocks to smack.
"With you." He answered turning a crooked grin on her. "Or rather, you can be with me. With us." He gestured at a few people, including Fletcher, Cam, Salander, Ivy, Vashti and a Gryffindor that had made a nice catch a moment ago, plus a few others that had sort of had this whole team work thing going on and then pointed at the goal the Head Boy was keeping at.
As if he were holding a wand, Jimmy held his bat out and mentally zapped the goal. Yep. Thats where they were trying to score. And right now, a few people were well on their way to managing that. But he had kinda heard that this Oliver guy was a bit of a legend so... they'd see.
Hmmm. He headed that way, shooting another grin over his shoulder at the blondie.

Okay so she had been totally distracted, by what was far beyond her but she was lost. Really lost. With a shake of the head she realised that she was still up in the air, pretty close to Oliver still and with a bit of an evil smirk on her face.
*Cough!Splutter*
Right, back to chasing then. The slytherins head switched from side to side, she'd been used to this in a real game situation but she couldn't actually see where the alternative quaffle had disappeared too.
SMACK!
Jim swerved close and knocked a rock out of the way. Heh. His shoulders were BURNING. It rocked.
Hah.
Rocked.
