"Hey," He said gently and put his arm around her shoulder. Friendly-like. "Its okay. No big. You're fine right?" Granted, Jimmy didn't know about what had happened in THIS VERY ALLEYWAY only a few terms before, but then, he was awesome and rawr anyway, so it'd be fine.
"Rufus is my monkey." Pause. "He got a fright and ran down this way. He's really... really tiny." Jim held up one hand and measured out from fingertip to thumb. "He's a pygmy marmoset." So. Tiny.
He felt her shiver and gave her a look. SIGH. "Take my jacket, you're like an icicle." He didn't wait for a response, just shrugged out of his jacket and heaped it on her. Then, monkey huntin' resumed.
"Rufus? Hey little guy? Where are you?"
Hayley slightly smiled up at James as he put his arm around her.
"Yeah, I'm fine, it's just that I'm not too fond of being alone in such a creepy place." She said looking around once again.
A monkey?
"Well I thought I felt something run past me and it did kind of feel like a rat. So maybe that was Rufus?" The Gryffindor asked, pointing to her left to where the animal that past her ran to.
"And if it was Rufus, I'm guessing he's not as scary when it's light out." She laughed a little but shivered some more.
Then James put his coat over her and she was about to deny it but sighed.
"You really don't have to do that, but in favor I'll help you find Rufus, if you would like that is." She stated. What would Jayce say if she saw what was going on here? Well nothing was going on...right?
--And wasn't he still on her list? Oh goodness, but she left her purse with the list at Hogwarts, so she wouldn't be able to figure that out. Meh.
