Of course, they weren't playing modern day Quidditch right now, but this was still played basically the same way, so it shouldn't be too hard to teach, right?
"Don't worry, it's not too hard to learn," Vashti began, still smiling. "Well, except for these balls we have to use. But we don't use them in Quidditch nowadays, so it's actually a lot easier than this looks." Yeah, suddenly she was very grateful they used Bludgers rather than rocks in Quidditch today. "Would you like to be a Chaser? That's where you have to catch and throw the Quaffle ball..." She looked around for it but again couldn't find it. Merlin, where did that thing go? One second the Hufflepuff boy had it, the next it was gone again. Oi. "Or you can be a Beater, where you just have to hit the rocks around towards the players on the opposite team. If there are teams, of course," she finished with a nod.
Wait, she'd totally just forgotten about Keeper! "Oh yeah, there's also Keeper, where you have to guard the goals, but I think those positions are taken," she explained. And it was way better to have ten million Beaters or Chasers than ten million Keepers. You'd never be able to score that way! "So which do you think you'd like? Chaser or Beater?"
