"Do you want to hold her?" Savannah asked quietly, looking up at Alexis as she entered the room. Frederic stood in the doorway, keeping a comfortable distance.

"Nooo, of course I don't. Why would I want to do that? Silly mummy Vannah." Alexis grinned, emerald eyes sparkling in the sunlight shining through the hospital room window. "But first, open this." She added, setting a bag down on the bed.

"Lex, you didn't need to get her a present." Savannah said, shifting the bundled baby into Curt's arms.

Alexis playfully rolled her eyes, waving a hand dismissively at the new mother.
