"I've encountered a boggart in an old desk and rather than simply taking care of it myself, I decided to incorporate it into a class--about defense charms, of course."
As if on cue, the desk shook just a bit harder.
"Now, what exactly is a boggart, and why is it best to always have someone with you when you're encountering one?" she asked.
OOC: Hey, guys! *waves* Please answer just the question Lexi's asked, as she has other questions all lined up, and I'd like to prevent all of them being answered in one post. Thanks so much!
Even thought Emmaleigh had correctly guessed that the thing was a bogart, she frowned. She was really hoping that she would not have to deal with it. As the thing started to move around in the desk again, She scooted her chair over a little bit to be closer to the door. "two more inches between me and that thing," she thought. As she sat there in her thought, she heard Professor Carlton ask a question that she knew the answer to. She raised her hand,
"Um, its a creature that takes on the appearance of your worst fear. And it's best to have at least one other person with with you because it confuses the boggart. On occasion, it will try to turn into both people's fear, and not be very scary at all."
