Duh...doesn't dagaz mean day?
"Day would mean light...and therefore brightness," he mused aloud, finally taking the dagaz rune and slipping it into the keyhole. The gryffindor once more waiting patiently for the result though he was feeling good about his choice.
YESSSSS. Nice red had it correct. The branches rose into the air again. One of them waaaaved to NICE RED before all of them disappeared out of sight, letting light flood the place again.
The door swung open.

Smirking, Evelyn stood up normally once the branches rose away and out of sight. Hehe. It totally worked! Placing the rune back safely riiigghhht into the bag, she was surprised to suddenly see a door there in front of her. Hmm? Was that there before?
Eyebrows raising, she moved towards the door and pushed on it slightly. It opened with ease which caused her to smile in relief. Good. She didn't want to have to figure out how to open it. Her gaze happened to glance down though, to what seemed to be a key whole in the door. It was big enough actually, to fit the runes in.
...
....Ohhhh!!! *cough* Well, that was embarrassing.
At least she knew what to do next time now. Onto the next ways of the maze!
The Whomping Willow continued to secretly staaaaare at STRANGE GREEN as she continued on her path.

Whoa! She was being attacked by the willow tree. Jumping back she was a bit surprised when the tree DIDN"T attack her. Huh... maybe this tree was as bad as everyone said it was.
A door, there was a door behind the branches. Now the question was would the tree let her get to the door without whomping her? Inching closer to the door she sees there is a keyhole. Crap, that means the door is probably locked. But how was she going to open it, she didn't have any keys, or did she? Looking down at the bag in her hand she sees the writing on the floor.
The Spruce tree corresponds to me.
Great, now she had to remember what they talked about in class. Which rune went with the Spruce tree? Reaching in her bag she pulls out one of each of the runes. Jera or Dagaz? Right, now she remembered. Putting one back in the bag she carefully puts her hand and arm between the branches and put the Dagaz rune in the keyhole.
Please let it open the door, she does not want to get crushed by those branches.
UNHAPPY GREEN had fitted in the correct rune. One of the branches reached out and veryyyy gently patted her on the back, before all of them rose into the air and disappeared out of sight.
Light flooded into the roofless enclosure once more, as the door swung open so that UNHAPPY GREEN could go throuuuughhh.
