Yeah, her year was just getting better and better here.

Just as Evan opened his mouth to say something back, he saw her eyes water. Aww... he hated to see her like that. Dragging his chair next to her--which took a little effort since he had to push back another desk--he threw his right arm over her and pulled her towards him for her to lean on. "He's not worth it, Marie," he tried to comfort her, with an annoying voice telling him he sucked at it once again. "Do you want me to beat him?" And he was pretty serious there, he could beat him. And for a time he thought they could be friends... hmpf. He should have listened to his inner voice that said this was only a stunt.

Looking into her eyes thougthfully, he tried to figure out something to say to Mina. It was going to be hard, he knew it. Frowning, he said "I'm not going to stop being friends with you." Nope, that friendship took a lot from him to gain, and he wasn't going to just let it go ~~unlike Marie who had given up on him so easily for Jerk-ter~~.
