As she ran she picked up speed. She didn't care where she was going as long as she had a quite place to think. Jayne finally stopped near a stream where she sat down on a rock to think. Across the stream was a small rabbit that was nibbling on pieces of grass. 'Ah..To be a rabbit! Carefree and simple..' Jayne thought sadly. Sighing she stood and started walking. Suddenly she tripped over a tree root and hit her head, knocking her unconsious.
Victoria was walking back to the stream when she tripped over something. She stood to find Jayne lying there. There was a small puddle of blood on her head so Victoria ripped off a piece of her shirt and dipped it in the water. Careful not to cause anymore pain she wrapped the wet cloth around Jayne's forehead. She tried to lift her, only to find that the huntress was to heavy. "Arg!" She growled angrily. Knowing very well that Jayne's only hope was the other Immortals Victoria ran back to the camp site. "Evangeline! Jayne..She's knocked out..hit her head...on rock...bleeding..can't lift..help." Victoria said to the red head between gasps of air. |
