A loud, rumbling sound is heard, and falling rocks begin to block the tunnel in the direction you are going, preventing you from continuing any further.
The way that is now behind you--where the creepy-tendrilled plant still stands partly open--hasn't been blocked at all. The pathway beyond the creepy-tendrilled plant is a dead end.
There's clearly only one way out now.
An observant person might notice that the middle of the plant seems to be hollow, with no immediate ground below it---an opening to get to the ground below. The only way out seems to be through the plant and down to the ground below.
