She teetered in her heels again and her fingers wound around Nathan's hair to keep herself from tipping out of the chair. That would have been a shame, especially in the blue Prada jumper dress she was wearing.

Oh Merlin. That question. The parent question. That was... well.

"My father is... uhm... not very excited about it," he volunteered to her, biting his lip to try and fend off the sheepish grin. "When I wrote to him to tell him, he wrote back and... well he said a fair few things that I don't think the newspaper would be allowed to print."

Pause.

"My mum doesn't know about it at all."

In retrospect, that was probably not the best idea, keeping it from her. But she was in Korea... surely she wouldn't hear news of it? How far would word of this tournament spread?
It was amazing the faces they were making as she asked that question. It seemed that was the question ask.

The first person to answer her question was the Slytherin from Hogwarts. She stepped down from her chair and walked over to him. She nodded at the little Asian boy. Well he was taller than her anyways. "Does it give you pause as you enter this tournament knowing that your parents might not be rooting for you?" she asked softly. She didn't want to embarrass the boy.

Hopefully, this time they'd not have such problems with some of them...she thought silently. Her eyes going toward Miles again as she shakes her head.
She smiled and nodded at Kenzie, "Oh wonderful. Raiden is simply perfect with his complexion," she said. She always thought people of Asian descent were natural beauties.

Her hazel eyes glided up to the woman in the chair. "My parents knov nothing of my entering." Her expression was indifferent as she looked at the woman, part of her curious as to why she would care about her parents opinions. "Even if they did, they vouldn't vorry. They knov I'm capable of handling myself in the competition."

Even if they had worried, which would have shocked her, it would not have stopped the young woman from entering. Eyes flickering to the camera woman, wondering which picture she wanted to take first.
She smiled at the Durmstrang girl. Children, she thought to herself. They could never understand a parent's worry till they were parents. "Why haven't you told them if they know you to be such a capable young witch?" she asked curiously.

Now where was that photographer....?
She tried to cover over the giggle as the Beauxbatons student spoke up next. "I think we would all prefer if no one died." Though she could imagine Ian would salivate over the number of papers they would sell if someone did manage to get themselves killed. "Will they be attending some of the challenges?" she asked him.

She then looked over to Brielle who was currently being asked to be in pictures, along with the Durmstrang girl. Hopefully they weren't planning on snapping the two of them together. Just in case, Monique side-stepped toward Jermaine. They looked great in pictures together. She was not about to be stuck in a picture with someone who didn't deserve to be seen with her.
She nodded. Wow, this girl could give Paris a run for her money in the self confident field, Egypt thought with a smile. "Well I am sure they are very proud of you and will be cheering for you. But do you feel your over confidence might be your downfall in the tournament. Pride always comes before a fall." she asked the girl. Overly confident people tended to rush into things without looking at the big picture and thinking the situation through to the end.

Though... that still wouldn't have prevented him from mentioning that fact. Heh.

His attention was quickly taken by the next reporter, however, who had to stand on a chair and lean on a man's head to get their attention. Fletcher sniggered to himself as the sight but stopped laughing abruptly at her question.

"Parents... what parents," he muttered darkly to himself. "Mine don't care. I wrote them each a letter but I guess me dad's proud and me mum.... probably worried, if she even understands the whole thing." He shrugged it off. "They really won't miss me if the Tournament takes a turn for the worst anyway."

He wasn't looking for a pity party, he was just being honest. And rather quieter than usual, now that he had said that. Fletcher edged away from the crowd of reporters and champions to go get a cup of water.
Her face clouded over as the Hufflepuff Hogwarts champion spoke up. She didn't like to hear of children being mistreated by anyone let alone their parents. She followed him over to the drink table away from the other champions. This was a child who needed a mother's hug. And Egypt was good at motherly hugs. "Well I care," she told him as she looked up at him. She reached out and pulled him into a tight hug. She patted him on the back, "And if they aren't proud of you I am. It took a lot of courage to put you name in that goblet." she whispered to him as she patted the small of his back. She could have hod to climb up his front to pat any higher than that. "And the world would be a dimmer place if your bright light extinguished." And that was true.
