Suddenly he was being jostled a teeny bit. Not enough to hurt him, but enough for him to lift his head and wonder what was going on. There was still the sharp pain in his wing and that made the tiny bird twitch once more.
And then there was a liquid being shoved under his beak. What? Were they expecting him to drink that? Puh-lease. It looked gross and viscous. He was NOT going to drink that. Turning his beak away, the birdie refused and settled back into his previous position on the nice comfy hand.
