That is, of course, until she reached forward and scooped Draco up into her hands. "I've been thinking of getting a ferret---or a guinea pig or iguana. I'm undecided at the moment," she said. She smiled at the little guy, curled him up into her arms, and took off toward the front of the room.
Grayson eyed Professor Carlton as she repeated the desire to see Draco, feeling like something was off. But in the same respect, she so didn't want to directly defy the professor. Not over something like this. It wasn't like having her ferret asleep in her bag affected class. Except for now, that she'd felt the need to open her mouth, apparently. Then the professor had leaned forward and completely scooped her poor little unsuspecting white ferret into her arms and scuttled off like she was a thief or something. "But professor, you can't have my ferret. I mean, I could probably help you get one of your own, if you decide you want one, but you promised I'd get Draco back," she pleaded. Of course, she'd have to ask Uncle Nathaniel where he'd gotten Draco from, but that wasn't hard. She so never should have said anything. Then she wouldn't be standing here more worried about getting her beloved pet back than the rest of the lesson.

Sending another worried glance at the professor as they were instructed to pick out wooden horses before heading outside, she took her time going up to pick one out from the box. Finding one that was sort of palomino, she settled on it before slowly heading outside. If she didn't get her ferret back after class, she was definitely going to do something. She wanted Draco back!
