Why was their relationship so conflicted? They both felt the same for each other, so what was going wrong???! Aiden really needed to grow a pair, then maybe the two had a future together. Of course, it was stupid to think too far in the future. But maybe after Hogwarts had passed?
DARN IT, Ella was impatient. She wanted him naoooooooo!
Oh, finally. A comment that actually insinuated that he wanted to speak to her. "Oh really? You're girlfriend said you wanted me to back off." And to not speak to him at all. Too bad Ella didn't believe that for a second. But still, she glared up at Aiden, expectantly.
"Mhm. I'm not showing you my 'people' drawings though, they are rubbish." Animals were easy though. And they were her speciality.
D'awwww, she blushed.
"Aw, shucks." She giggled. Ew. Her eyes rested on Aiden's face as he looked at the drawing. They were sitting way closer now. Too close for comfort, and she reeeally had to snap out of this. She cleared her throat and looked away. "Thanks, love." Mmmkay, bye bye sketchpad. And back into her bag it went.
"Yep, Gaspar... D-do you know him?" o___O Gaspar definitely failed to mention that to her. That made things a little awkward, but at least it made it clear that Ella wasn't just making some random dude up to make him jealous. Reminding her..... "You're not jealous are you?" She hoped so. "Because you were the one who broke up with me, you know.." She informed him, even if he was clearly well aware of that.
OOOOOH. Moody Aiden.
"Oh, don't complain. I had to sit through the details with you and Savannah." She snapped at him. Duh, cos that air-headed blonde could never keep her mouth shut.
Butterflies!
And not the social kind, heh, but the warm fuzzy feeling that happened in your stomach kind. Eeeeeep. She just stared at him with adoration as he spoke. She wasn't a rebound. Savannah was just lying to make herself feel better. Phew. She shook off that bubbly feeling and spoke, "right. Mkay, just thought I'd ask." She smiled. Couldn't stop smilinggg! Even if they weren't actually together. Okay, that made her stop smiling.
"Oh, and I couldn't help but notice that you're speaking in the present tense." As in, he said 'I feel so strongly for you' instead of 'FELT'. Ohyeash. Ella picked up on these things, ya see.
Okay, so she hadn't freaked. But still, even though she said she 'got it,' he still felt like those words sort of hung in the air. She felt that way too. Before they lingered above their heads any longer, he broke the lull. "
Right." Bravo. My, wasn't he the champion of descriptive responses?
Leave it to Savannah to say something like that to Ella. Something that was totally false. "
No. I didn't say that." He didn't say anything further because he didn't feel the need to defend himself to that extent. The Pebbles drawing was exceptional, but it looked like Ella was just out to whet his appetite tonight. If he wanted to see those 'people drawings, it looked like he'd have to work pretty darn hard to get to that point with her. Maybe he could accidentally pick up her sketchpad in mistake for his notebook? Hehh. That was plausible enough.. right? Maybe. "
Rubbish?" Pfft. "
Mmhmm yeah, and you also said all your artwork was rubbish, but look at that." He gestured towards her sketches, meaning the one he had just seen. "
If that's rubbish, then I'm Lord Voldemort."
And then she blushed, and he like, melted. This tiny bit of their conversation was enough to cancel out all the other crappy things being talked about. His eyes had surveyed the paper, but shifted back to her at the 'Thanks, love.' He smiled. Of course 'love' was a pretty common term of endearment, but he liked to think that it was reserved only for him. This he wouldn't ask her, though. In case he was wrong. "
Mhmm, I'm just telling the truth."
Know him? He had a whole nice little chit chat with the kid right there along the pathways! Ergh, if he had only knew then, this Gaspar would've gotten quite the earful from Aiden. "
We've met, yeah," he grumbled, not even caring that he was being so irrational. Gaspar was a completely nice guy from what Aiden gathered of him; but, this sudden news just tarnished all possibilities of the guy actually becoming better friends with him. No way. Not while he was dating Ella.
She mentioned jealousy and Aiden made a face as he looked away. Yahhhh, he was jealous. But he neatly swerved around the question and gave more of a response to her next words. "
Yeah, I know I broke up with you." He remembered it clearly. Crystal. Such perfect recollections of his idiocy. And yet somehow he was still telling himself it was for the best. Whatever 'best' meant in
his dictionary.
Right, touche. Savannah did bring up their past relationship a lot. Rubbed it in her face, so to speak. And sure, Aiden would be a lit fuse if this Gaspar character did the same to Aiden. Actually, it made him wonder how long Ella had known him.. she never mentioned the Ravvie before. "
Fine, go on, then. Rave about Mr. Match-Made-In-Heaven; I'm all ears."
He nodded. "
And now you're certain." Although he couldn't see how she'd think of herself as a rebound in any aspect. He pegged it to the fact that Savannah's constant remarks must have been getting to her. Ergh. When he turned back to look at her again, all air seemed to escape his lungs. He had forgotten they had, somewhere along the lines, moved closer, and he had forgotten how her smile threw him into a tizzy so easily.
But as her smile faded and he regained his basic comprehension skills, she said something about him speaking in present tense. But this was no mistake. Present tense was correct; his 'strong feelings' were not bound solely to the past. In fact, they felt permanently inescapable. "
Aah.. right. Well, it wouldn't really matter either way anymore, would it?""
