Although she didn't know that for sure but she had claimed this bed and if she wanted to jump on it, then that's what she was going to do. And with another giggle, Mia started jumping up and down but being mindful of the canopy this time.
Oh yes this she knew. Mia had been given quite a few nicknames baack home, some weren't worth repeating though.
Mia shook her head at Melanie. "Nope never been to school. This is my very first one and I am sooooo excited. But a little nervous as well. I'm not sure what to expect from the Professors." She stopped jumping for the moment and looked at Melanie. "Have you got any tips for me? You know like what to do and what not to do?"
Ooooh she was a sixth year. Only one more year after this one and Melanie would be out in the real world. That's a little scary actually. "Oh, I'm a fourth year." She answered with a bright smile and returned to her jumping on the bed.
Melanie bounced, going higher and higher with each jump. She beamed when Mia joined her, reassured by what she said. They couldn't do any real damage jumping on a bed anyway, could they? Twas' all harmless. And fun. She held out her arms like a tightrope walker to keep her balance, more worried about falling than looking silly, and continued to hop up and down.
"I don't blame you. I bet it's nerve wracking." Starting any new school would make her nervous, but Melanie couldn't remember what it was like to go to school the very first time. She smiled slightly when Mia asked her if she had tips, halting in her jumping for a moment to think.
"Well. I guess I can. Don't mess with Professor Lafay." She thought about it, but Melanie wasn't going to tell her she set children on fire. She didn't want to scare the girl.
"Be mindful of the rules. You don't want to lose points. Try not to worry too much, though." Melanie started jumping again, as if to demonstrate.
"Have fun while you're here." Bounce, bounce, bounce. "Ohh, and make friends of all ages. We older kids are cool too." Clearly, Melanie was just radiating coolness. Hehe.
Hmm.
"Fourth year." she repeated thoughtfully.
"Awesome. So, are you happy to be a Puff'?" Melanie asked, stumbling a little... and then righting herself. She kept on hoppin'.
