Alice loosened her grip on Rubiey. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. It's just I hate snakes." Alice was focusing on her breathing but sadly the humungous black snack crawling towards her was not going away. Perhaps the less she believed it was real, the less it would be. Or not.

Alice closed her eyes, breathing deeply, but she started to feel the room shaking. She gripped the chair tightly with her free arm, it shaking violently in her hands.

"It's alright Rubiey. It will pass," Alice said, more for herself than Rubiey.
