“You scared me,” she whispered.

“All I could think about was you—coming home to you, seeing your face, kissing you,” George whispered back.

Remus met her in the kitchen. They, too, stared wordlessly at each other before he rushed forward and pulled her into a hug.

“Never scare me like that again,” she whispered into his chest.

“You were gone too long,” George complained as he held out his arms for her to snuggle up in.
