Pam backed away slowly. "Look, I'm sorry, I can't help myself. I'm sorry." Tears started forming in her eyes, out of feardom. She didn't mean to cause trouble. Not here, and certanly not now. "Please. I was just comforting him! I don't know anything about this, he seemed sad and in need of a hug. If that bugs you, i'm sorry, it's difficult for me to just sit there and watch him break down in front of me." She backed around till she was on the other side of he couch.
