Just as she'd leaned over on the window ledge to get a good look at the grounds that spread before her, Lexi heard someone calling to her. Judging by the name they used--Lexi, instead of Professor Carlton--she knew she was turning around to greet one of her co-workers. Sure enough, that person turned out to be not just any co-worker, but her very own best friend.

"Oh, hey, Lil," she greeted, her face brightening. She sort of half-turned then motioned outside the window. "I was just getting a good look at the grounds. They're so pretty this time of year." She turned back to Lily and paused for a moment just before adding, "So, how've you been? We've been so busy that we haven't had a chance to catch up yet."
