YAY! His hand was finally released from the grip of DEEEEAATH. Ouch. It sorta hurt as his circulation returned. Mehhh. Oh well. He smiled as he looked down to his hand, and she was still holding on. The brunette glanced down at Callie, who still didn't seem like she was calming down. Mehh. He'd have to help her some more.. but how..? If only Opal was here. The big lug of a dog would surely make him feel calmer. No use worrying when she was there to protect them, right? "Yeah. she could." he nodded. "Maybe we should move a bit farther away?" he suggested.
Jayce smiled a comforting smile as she squeezed his hand a bit. Not too hard. It was perfect. Ahh.
WHOOPS. He was still holding onto her head. Eheh. He took his hand back, and shoved it into his pocket. Awwwkwwwarrrrrrdd. "Errr. You're welcome." Woah. She.. wrapped an arm around him? Errrr. He was confused. But then she took it away, and he was sorta sad. It was kind of comforting in a weird way since they were basically strangers.
"Yeah.." he trailed off unsure of what to say. Gahhh. Time for the awkward part of meeting new people. Talking.. Sooooo... errrr.. what should he say? Errrrr. "Sooo.. What year are you in?" he asked curiously, seeing the Slythering emblem embroidered on her robe.
This wasn't right. She was never this scared, and she was never this awkward with boys. She was constantly flirting with every boy she met, gathering they weren't ugly if they were ugly then she generally didn't talk to 'em so yeah she never flirted with them. But Jayce wasn't that bad looking yet...nothing. Maybe it was cus they'd just met. Nah. That'd never stopped her before.
Maybe it was cus she was scared.
That sounded like a reasonable explination and she couldn't be bothered to think of another explination anyways. She watched the statue, nodding slowly to Jayce as she suggested them moving further away. They couldn't move to a different floor completely because she'd know. Callie could tell she was clevah. She began to breath deeply inwardly and outly, eeeeh. She was likee SUPER scared. meh meh meh.
Then she heard a noise.
It was only like a creak or something but she was sure it was the witch moving or maybe she had some evil minions or something that she was sending in to corner them so she could turn 'em ugly. Her eyes widend as these weird thoughts ran through her head. She was so not feeling normal today. Maybe she was coming down with something. She let out a quiet shreik before letting go of Jayce's hand and wrapping her arms around him not even thinking about them being practically strangers.
She clung onto him listening closly for more scareh sounds.
"Um..Fourth..." she answered listening some more...
