She didn't even know where she was. Didn't this place like come with a map or something ? Even the mall came with a map and California knew her way around their like the back of her hand. She'd never understood that saying but she'd heard her parents and James use it a couple of times so she decided to use it too. She was walking a long, when she saw a statue. Not just a statue the most ugly statue she'd ever seen. And it looked like it was gonna kill her or worse make her Ugly.
She jumped back screaming, because in her head she was in need of help right now. She was being so unobservant right now. Although she usually was she hadn't even noticed the boy near her. But right now she was too trapped in her own thoughts to notice him.
As soon as he was far enough away, which happened to be on the other side of the hallway, backed up against the wall. Yeah. He was safe now. Right? The witch surely couldn't reach him from back here. Plus, wasn't she attached to the wall? But.. what if she could stretch herself?
Shuuudder. That would be super scary.
But then Jayce noticed he wasn't alone. Someone else had come down the hallway as well, and she seemed to be scared of it too, cause she was screaming and all. Feeling very heroic and brave, the Gryffindor tiptoed forward, towards the girl. Why'd she look familiar? Surely he had seen this girl somewhere.. but.. where? As soon as he was standing right next to her, he held out his hand, hoping she would take it, then he could drag her to the other side of the hallway, to SAFETY.
"Hey." he whispered, eyes gancing back and forth between this very familiar girl and the statue. "C'mon. Take my hand. We'll be safe over there." he pointed to the opposite wall with his thumb.
