Jay was enjoying this little war of theirs. It was definitely a lot of fun. Wait.. This was what she did to cheer herself up? How'd she do it if there weren't any pumkins? Huh. As he got closer to Hayley, he realized she stepped back, and stayed against the tree. Interesting.. He got closer to her, in touching distance now and was so tempted to go get some pumpkin.
Instead.. he hid behind the tree, and leaned around the tree to whisper in her ear. "Open your eyes." As soon as he said it, he moved back around, hopefully concealing himself enough so that she couldn't see him.
Hayley was scared as to what was to happen now. Of course she could trust Jayce but certainly not in a pumpkin guts war. She was startled as she heard his voice in her ear, he seemed to be behind her. But how would that work out? There was a tree.
She did as she was told and opened her eyes, turning around just to see the tree. She tilted her head to the side and turned back around, facing the pumpkin patch, leaning forward, looking behind big pumpkins to see if Jayce was there.
"Jayce? Where are you?" She asked, worried, standing in the same place he just seemed to be.
