Now stressed to the point that his back hurt due to their failure to listen to him, he took a deep breath and kindly smiled at them. Just because he was annoyed didn't mean he should be a jerk to the rest of the class.
"I think the time has come to excuse you for the day. Please pack up your things, and there is no need to turn in your interpretation -- keep them for your notes. I was keeping track of who was participating," he told them. "Homework will be posted in a few minutes, which also brings me to my next point of business."
"This semester, you'll have a term long project, and I'm sure many of you have already guessed it--we'll be keeping dream diaries this term," he told them with a grin. FINALLY they'd reached the part of the lesson he was thrilled about! "In case you haven't noticed, there's a bookcase outside with numerous dream diaries completely blank and ready to be written in...and one of the best parts is that, when you take a diary and begin to write in it, it is YOUR diary, and won't open for anyone else, except for me since I need to grade them," he explained. So, no need to worry about privacy being violated!
"More exact details will be given when I post the homework, but the gist of the assignment is this: You'll need to record THREE dreams in your diary over the course of the year. Don't interpret them, just write them down. Later in the year, we'll interpret them as part of the final. You have all year to do it, so don't fret about getting them all done at once!" he explained. "Just don't forget about them!"
"So, let's see...homework...dream diary assignment...I think that's it. See you all next lesson! I'll be in my office if you have any questions about the homework or the dream diary assignment," he added.
Treyen nodded, still frowning a bit. Yes, there was so much he still needed to learn. Sigh. And so much to research. Then again, he liked that, didn't he? The time, however, didn't seem to be such good friend with him.
Everything was written in his parchment, and the class was over now. But, waaaaait. DIARIES? Oh my Gilderoy! That was like super awesome! His first book! Treyen grinned, and placed everything in his bag (very messy, one must add) with all the excitement about the journal.
"Wicked!" he will write his first book. For a moment there he wondered at what age did Gilderoy wrote his first book, because it would be a great coincidence if the man had also been thirteen.
"Thanks for the lesson, Professor!" he said, as he stood up to get his journal.
Awesomeness. He took a black one before heading towards the stairs and leaving the tower. The color didn't give much away, black was good. He was NOT taking the pink one.
